i managed to beat this game without dying under 25 minutes. This game is really hard. As far as i am concerned dying even once is not an option. You need all of you power ups and shields maxed. This was achieved through practice. This game demands concentration and perseverance. If not, just put the controller down. I wont judge you. I remember squeezing my controller so hard i would hear the insides crack. The difficulty of this game is not for everyone. I Watched my brother turn into a human tornado over this game. Trashed the entire room, then my mom swiftly threw her chanckla em and seriously beat his ass for it. Control yourself while playing this game.

I never got past the guardian commander thanks to that damnable teddy bear thing that would jump onto your ship and drag you across the screen. Good job SS.

Instead of developing their own games, they went to Japan, and started licensing games that were not set for release in the USA. Unfortunately, this also meant a lot of the games were either very hard, or unknown, and so didn't sell well.

What happens with the last boss Parasitis? Looks like you are receiving damage but I guess you arent, with the blinking bullets and ghosts I cant be sure about it

See those ghosts alongside the final boss? Those are the disembodied souls of your people, who perished when Parasitis devoured yours and their planet, Abadox. They blame you, "You did this! You let this happen!"
The original Japanese has Abadox the name of the conflict-a combination of Abaddon (the demon Nazar is put in mind of when he begins his attack) and the Parasite X postulated as what apparently turned a human into Parasitis. I think the human was Nazar and Maria’s unborn son. Maria is a variant of Miriam/Mary, Nazar as in St. Joseph the NAZARene, Maria is implied to be an early victim of Parasitis…So Abaddon or Salpsan possessed the embryo/fetus and constructed a miniature Hell around Maria to render Earth an eternal nightmare.
It can only be a joke, kill the last boss without suffering damage and even with a bug hindering the game. I found this final battle a little suspicious
Old timer here. I can confirm that the hit detection in this game was weird and sometimes it bugs when there's too much shit on the screen. You either go "Why did I die?" or "How the fuck did I not die!?". It's more notorious on the later stages.
I often wonder if These games like Abadox and Heavy Shredding, ect weren't originally planned for NES rather maybe they had once thought they were going to stay in the console market and make a 8 bit Intellivision....

This game is so crazy, the living tissue, guys with xenomorph heads, ghosts, and I love the pixel art.

As someone who played this back in the day, I can confirm that the hitboxes were weird. You'd go from "Why did I die?" to "How tf am I still alive!?"
