I found it to be very tight. The only thing that worked for me was to leave one of the rubber inserts off, then very carefully tighten the lower screws first, then make sure that the two edges of the half circles are straight and as close as possible to each other before adding the outer ring with the two sliders.
Do Proaim has an arm which can support 40 lbs?
