    How many Wash Lights would you recommend to highlight stage decor and where do you place them? (Stage can be up to 16ft wide)

      Hi Shahina - It varies on the situation and where you are hosting. Typically a 16 ft stage should have a minimum of 4 lights and a maximum of 8. It's important to make sure that these aren't all multicolored LEDs. Warm white light is a necessity for elegant photos.

    Is there a way to set up the pin lights without support from the truss?

    • @ajaymanaktala3357
      @ajaymanaktala3357 4 года назад

      Hi Mariha - Many ballrooms have airwalls, or rigging where you can install them on the ceiling. You don't necessarily need to put them on truss but suspending them in the air with a 25 degrees angle gives you the best and most effective look. If you are on a budget most vendors can ground support pinpsots by placing them on a pole that has a supporting base and can elevate these from the pole 10-12' on average.

      Yes wireless magnetic pin spots work in most ballrooms and saves floor space and money from having to install air wall clamps and running cables

      @@bostoneventlighting794 We agree that magentic pinspots work great. Many larger union venues will not allow those however as most fixtures typically have to have a safety cable attached to something. (Metal cable to catch something from falling and hitting someone one the head). Many of our events involve 40-60 pin spots so rigging in the airwall is the ideal way to go. Saftey over expense (always).

      @@SpecialOccasionsDJs yeah that’s not the case out here in the Boston area. maybe that’s because we don’t have many earthquakes. Can’t imagine what else short of the building collapsing would bring them down

    • @ajaymanaktala3357
      @ajaymanaktala3357 2 года назад

      @@bostoneventlighting794 We've done events where subwoofers are strong enough to knock out recessed lights. Therefore. magnetic lighting directly over head can be a risk. Most of the events we hang lights overhead involve rigging on air wall or rig points. Additionally anything overhead requires a safety cable incase a clamp fails or human error on tightning.
