We have very parallel lives, lineman, kids, worring about work. The question i have is, is a Campground lucrative? Looking for a career change in life and have been told im a people person in a service type of way. I'm thinking of it as many small Airbnbs at the same location, and in that sense it could be very lucrative. Thanks

When we made the decision to buy, our thought was we could make a living. Then at some point down the road when we decided to sell we would be better off than if we had stayed in our old jobs. Probably our first year and a half (give or take) all we did was pay ourselves back on the money from our house sale. We put most of the money back into the campground. Early on I was making less than minimum wage. However, the campground covered a lot of our old expenses. (Mortgage, ins, phones, internet...) In the last few years we are paying ourselves more. Also, truthfully we didn't have a good feel for how much site rent should be. We were afraid to raise rates too much or too often. Truthfully though, the biggest plus to buying Pine Ridge was being our own bosses. I can't put a dollar figure on the freedom and satisfaction of owning your own successful business. Maybe this helped. Thanks for watching.

I'd love to watch anything you're willing to part. There is very little mentioned about this process and I'm trying to learn as much as I can

I read a recent posting about REAL ESTATE INCLUDED for a local #campground #MITTS I am interested in purchasing for around $12.00 an hour every 90 days or so. It has scared me

I’ve heard of people renting campers parked in your resort ever though of that

Sure, my concern is that campers break more easily than a house and I wouldn't want to have to worry about having something repaired on a short turnaround.

Can you hire a company to take care of your campground and they just get a cut of it?

I am assuming you are talking about something like people having rental houses run by a managing company of some sort. I am not aware of any such company. There may be. I do know that some parks are run by managers. Someone the owner/owners have hired. Just my opinion, but I feel that no one is going to care about "your" campground like you will. Not to say it wouldn't work.
