have you ever recorded this? Your version is so much better than any other I've heard; you flow so gracefully rather than ending abruptly after each measure or so like even Abshire does.
I love Amede's way of playing this, best of all. I wish I could grasp his original! You're absolutely right about not many versions with going to that note!
Jim,,,had this cranked up through my big Marshall amp in the kitchen this morning here in the UK,,,,absolutely amazing!! ~Told you many times,,,,,you're one of the greatest at this!! Keep us rockin'!! Cheers, Paul.
YIKES! I'm a piano accordion guy! I WAS going to buy one and try to learn play it! you some really heavy stuff going on there! Awesome job! thanks for sharing! bjkaboom
Funny, the only song I've ever hit that #1 one button is Amede Ardoin's Amede Two Step, which is pretty much the Choupique Two step with that part added. Very nice.
@BmoreBusker Thanks I will keep my ears out for some versions. Also I like the way your cat got up and left. My cat does exactly the same every time I play as does most of the house. Haha
I have a video from a long while back of his but not sure what it was called. A lot of -this stuff needs to be released on DVD. There was a great film called Aly Bain meets the cajuns. I want that on DVD but as far as i am aware it was never re-released.
Great tune and played great. I've never hit the #1 button yet :) The way you play this tune it has a real swing to it, you can see you enjoyed that one.
I seem to hear a minor chord, where you play that long note on the first button!? That must be the guitar !?! Sounds good. Anyway, top stuff, full of energy and passion, as always !!
hahah! Right again, he's playing an F minor. Unfortunately my F's are tuned the Cajun way, so they're ten cents away from his F. As you most likely already know :-D Thanks, I love playing this tune on my D Acadian.
I think the original was called "amede 2 step..marc savoy has a ..version of it...but ..for my money...listen to the "original....! the soul and Passion...
It is so strange, but when I hear this music all I can do is think about dancing with a wonderful woman like me who is now single after 30 yrs of marriage looking for someone like me and you.
Speak for yourself brother. My Cajun family for the most part has been very happy, joyous and grateful for life. Sorry that things weren't so good on your side of the bayou.
That cat is huge
Hi, thank you kindly. Acadian is the brand, made by Marc Savoy of Eunice Louisiana.
That distant gaze always gives away a real musician. Bravo Cher!

I think the original was called "amede 2 step..marc savoy has a ..version of it...but ..for my money...listen to the "original....! the soul and Passion...
I just bought a Cajun accordion that's in C. Anyways do you have any tips for learning how to play it?
I started with Dirk Powells videos back in '02.
It is so strange, but when I hear this music all I can do is think about dancing
with a wonderful woman like me who is now single after 30 yrs of marriage
looking for someone like me and you.
Does your cat act weird when you play accordion too? Mine nibbles on my toes when I play accordion.
how long ya been playing ?
17 years.
hey, your music makes me happy, but why you look so sad?
jopachelbel Were sad people, with stressful and depressing backgounds. Coming from a cajun
