Thank you dear Lioheart! Yes me too! I am planning to play on the the three Barons War Campaigns showcased on the channel. Thank you for watching my friend!
Very good looking sergeants. I have Footsore miniatures and like their sculpts, though their small size means they look odd on the table if I want to mix them with those from other manufacturers.
Thank you my friend! Yes I agree they are noticeably smaller than the other 28's. you will see this very clearly in my upcoming video comparing sizes of all the minis from different manufacturers i have here. By the way I still mix them with other minis maybe there was a very tall knight who towered over his comrades..;) Thank you for watching my friend!
Thank you Leslie glad you enjoyed the sergeants! I was told this before by a few friend of the channel as well.. i don't know why... i can hear my voice really well from my Laptop.. i need to check again.. thank you for mentioning it!
@@03dashk64 yes yes have a point my friend! What I realized is that when I watched it from my phone the sound was low but from the laptop , PC etc.. the sound was fine.. maybe I have to raise the sound a bit more during the editing process for the phone users.... Thank you guys!
@@lesliebeilby-tipping6854 on RUclips is very clear on my phone the sound is low sometimes i don't know why... i think i will raise the volume during editing.. better for viewers to lower the volume than not to hear very well..
Thank you dear Darrin! Yes i agree the footsore minis look great and have many different poses. The only issue they have is that they are a bit on the smaller size of the 28mm range. Thank you for watching my friend!
Footsore + Baron's War = Awesome content! Thanks Nik and really enjoyed the showcase and I have 3x packs of sergeants on the way to Japan from Footsore today. Can't wait to paint them. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed the showcase dear Josh! yes I agree footsore Barons war range are really good! Great news looking forward in seeing you showcase them on the channel!
I am confused. Perhaps you can help. Did sergeants actually have their lords' coats of arms on their shields? Did they just have their lords' colours and badges, as was used for the livery of Wars of the Roses sergeants? I cannot find a definite answer. So far, I've been painting their lord's coat of arms but my gut tells me that's wrong. BTW, if you are looking for rules for large battles, consider "Might of Arms" by Bob Bryant.
Hi Michael how are you my friend! Well I had the same query as you I asked a couple of Friends Who are Medieval Commission painters and they both answered the same that both of your above comments applied. So both your assumptions seem to be correct some had just colors some had also their Lords Coat of arms either as a smaller badge or even bigger .. I will investigate further I have a friend Who is a medieval historian and get back to you on this thread by this upcoming weekend .I will check the rules for sure thank you for mentioning them. Thank you for Watching my friend!
Hi Michael just got the response from my friend Medieval Historian Rob Jones and here is his response and i quote: ''In answer to your question; the problem is that 'sergeants' are not really a separate troop type in the period. Instead the term denotes a particular form of service, which might be military, but could equally be legal, administrative, or land management. If, however, we use the term as most wargames rules do, for soldiers beneath the rank of knight, then, no, sergeants wouldn't wear their lord's heraldry, and there is evidence for wearing livery during the Hundred Years War (and earlier). However, it is nowhere near as complete as for the Wars of the Roses, and there are fee examples (the green and white of the Cheshire troops levied in the King's service for example). after about 1259, heraldry is the identity of an individual, whilst livery and badges are marks of 'ownership'''
@@MedievalWargamer Thank you for following up. That input argues for one or two colour shields and tunics but no heraldic symbols beyond, perhaps a silver badge for a favoured retainer.
@@michaelmanning5379 yes i agree with you most probably colors of your Lord and as you say maybe a badge sawn on the clothing like for example the Cross of St. George the English archers had..
Agree with you my friend! Footsore are good miniatures although a bit small for 28mm in comparison to the other manufacturers ( I will post a video comparing sizes soon) but Claymore are still the best by far no contest!
@@ПавелОрлов-ф5ф hahaha some can be used for sure! I would say that footsore Spearmen are fine crossbowmen and Longbowmen are fine as well. Sergeants maybe can be used but Foot and Mounted Knights for sure not they are to early even for poor knights.. Monks for sure can be used and i am sure they will look great among other soldiers.
Lovely looking miniatures, and I look forward to seeing them in a battle 👍

А как вы думаете, можно Footsore использовать как шотлпндцев,на сто летнюю войну? Как бедных,нищих шотландцев,в дедовских доспехах?🙂@@MedievalWargamer
