Organ Scholarships at Cambridge

This short film is for Cambridge applicants who are interested in playing the organ. Primarily geared towards potential organ scholars, the film also gives a good overview of choral music at Cambridge for those considering applying for choral awards.

I would be interested in the piece played in the beginning. Is it an improvisation or a written piece?

- don't you think the organ is more commonly played by white middle class people?
- I'm at King's, we have two organ scholars at the moment and only one is white
- the population of britain is 90% white so we wouldn't expect to see that many non-white organ scholars

I would like to see Organ Scholars from multi racial backgrounds here. How is it that the Colleges of Oxford & Cambridge are not accepting them ? Or are u telling me only white middle class Organ scholars from middle class backgrounds are the only one's that are interested in the Oxbridge route ? I am a trained organist who is Black and went to a redbrick university a long time ago. I am now in my 50's and nothing has changed what so ever about Oxford & Cambridge.
