Carja Blazon Master Adept with 4 slots and loading it up with the Banuk weaves can get you full fire immunity and full ranged or melee protection. Best outfit in the game since the majority of your enemies/machines use fire as their elemental weapon.
Shield weaver has a great use. Don it just before leaping off even the highest cliff. It will absorb the fall without taking any health, making it the way you can jump from great heights with no damage. Just wait the few seconds for it to recharge before jumping off a cliff again. If you find yourself falling off a cliff and you're quick enough hit the button and change into the shield weaver mid fall to avoid dying.
I think another important aspect of UH is learning to read machine behaviour/body language. This can be very helpful in planning strategies and learning to manage without enemy health bars. A couple more tips if preparing for NG+ UH - it may be prudent to go in with a generous amount of shards, especially if adept gear is desirable and will be purchased in UH. Also, auto-aim can be turned off in lower difficulties and can help folks get used to its lack once NG+ UH mode begins.
Great list! The only thing I would change is the frost weapon. I found the frost Sling stronger in most situations. A little bit harder to aim on larger distances, though. The Sharpshot bows are also useful every now and then. After completing NG on UH in Forbidden West, UH in HZD feels almost easy. The prices are annoyingly high (e.g. 2000 shards for the golden travel pack), but after a while you get used to it. It took me 150 hours to get 100% in NG (finishing the main story without going to the Frozen Wilds, so no Banuk weapons in the main game) and 100% in NG+, both on UH, and I had a lot of fun with it. And without the Melee Pits and the fixed loadouts in the Arena, I didn't have any major problems there. But I have to admit: Without using guides (mostly from you and Arktix), also during my previous playthroughs, this would have been very different. Thank you for your work!
Max out your lodge blast sling for damage. This can be used in so many situations, including hunting grounds. The blast sling will knock the crates off shellwalkers, for example, for that very difficult trial at spursplints, as well as kill/stun/stagger nearby machines trying to stop you.
Having been through a few times, I've got the Blazon Master and Banuk ice kit loaded with special mods from frozen wilds. Blazon master is maxxed fire resistance and 40 each for ranged and melee, and Banuk Ice master is the same buy with ice resistance maxxed. But mostly I swap between a maxxed Silent Hunter and Banuk Chieftain, which I swap into once i've sustained damage to get the health back up over time. If I had only 2 outfits to choose from, it would the the stealth and the health. Of course, I swap between various outfits for the machine I'm facing.
Gotta say that I really like how kinda 'useless' the Shield Weaver is at UH Difficulty because it pushes you to learn how to strategize your hunts and encounters.

The other day Ikrie disappeared into the rock in her challenge and wasn't freezing anything. I took the opportunity to learn to dadge Scrappers, and even made them shoot and claw each other. Of the 3 I was dodging when Ikrie glitched, 2 were taken out by their brothers. It took ages, but I can now read Scrapper moves perfectly.
I’m pretty sure overriding works the same in UH.. I just don’t use it all that often. Good points though! Tying down a machine first makes it super easy to override them and then they can help you out!
Overriding works perfectly fine on UH, even on large machines. For example, I always override some of the 6 Fireclaws in the DLC to deal with the other machines in that area first (like two demonic scorchers).
Tip for quick overriding - run at a machine that hasn't noticed you and slide, immediately HOLDING DOWN the override button while sliding. If you reach the beast before the slide ends or it notices you, your override will kick in.

as always, you have the best tips!
THANKS MAN 💘
this really helped me a lot 😁

Got the Frozen wilds recently and proceeded to try and farm fireclaws, only to die about 10 times
lol, yeah. Farming fireclaws on just about any difficulty usually doesn’t end well 😂🫠
@chazmatazzgames very true
Yeah Bro, fireclaws are arguably the toughest machine...even in HFW it easily top 5 toughest still😂

So true. It’s pretty OP in lower difficulties but pretty trivialized in UH. Makes it a lot more fun (and more challenging 😅)
Use it for high jumps/falls. Shieldweaver absorbs the impact, leaving you with no damage even from the highest cliff.

@ brutal glitch. But great you could make good use of it. Ikrie’s challenge is already an exercise in patience on UH.
@@vanessaboyko1582 Definitely. The breakthrough came for me when I lured the frozen tramplers to the area between two log traps and sprung them.
Are their Adept versions of Lodge Weapons or are they the same ?
Yeah! There are Adept versions of the Lodge weapons in NG+. Definitely worth upgrading to get that extra coil slot!
Why waste all those expensive bombs on the stunned shellwalkers when you could have overridden one to help you. Is overriding weaker in UH?
