The Kennedy men of the 1960s were never progressive and paid for that stance with their lives. They believed in promotion thru merit, stoking the engine of capitalism, that the US was the best social experiment ever conceived and both stood up to professional criminals whether they wore white hoods, expensive suits or green fatigues with red stars on their caps. Keep in mind, by "suspending" (not terminating) his campaign and by leaving his name on ballots in some non-contested states he may get enough "votes" to be able to retain his campaign contributions, otherwise the funds get frozen and remain inaccessible. Brilliant move!

Let's just think about it this way. In GA there were about 5 million votes counted in 2020. If RFK was going to get just 2% of those, that's 100,000. If Trump gets 60% of those, that's a 20,000 vote swing in his favor. The margin was about 12K in 2020. AZ and WI could be similar cases.
Kennedy supporters will at least feel Kennedy will have Trump's ear. Unlike Kamala Harris, Donald Trump does hear what advisors have to say. He may not follow their suggestions a lot, but he's not stupid, and knows what someone doesn't know may indeed hurt that someone. He knows information is key.
