I LOVE THIS COMMENT!!! I relate so much. Been praying for God to put the joy of my salvation back in my own heart too, & to renew my mind, and that a willing and steadfast spirit might sustain me. I've been so distant from the Lord lately, strayed so far, and been too focused on serving to realise that Jesus has been calling to me to _just be still._ Sometimes when I wander, I forget His gentle touch and the sound of His voice. *Luke 10.41-42: "Martha, Martha, thou are careful and troubled about many things; but there is need of one, and Mary has chosen the good part, the which shall not be taken from her".* I _really_ relate to Martha. The Lord had to address her twice, as He so often has to address me in all my anxious distraction. She was troubled about so many things, (especially about serving) whilst Mary was simply at peace, enjoying the presence of the Lord- makes me think of Psalm 23. Martha was troubled over so many details of life- but Jesus doesn't ask us to be perfect. He wants us to come, as we are, and to sit at His feet like Mary did. _There_ is fulness of joy!! We _know_ this world is a dark wilderness, and we _know_ its cruelty and its evil. We also _know_ the refuge, safety, peace & joy found alone in Jesus, yet the flesh and satan in his clever deceitfulfness, _still_ manages to succeed in tempting God's own away from the fold. But praise be to God that there is a way back- Jesus would say to us simply, "come unto me all ye who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest". Wonderful, merciful Savior Precious Redeemer and Friend ❤ It is a joy to pray for others going through this, because there is victory in Jesus! 🙌

I sometimes focus so much on the "best version of my self" that I forget to be the version of me God wants me to be, the surrendered humble and trusting one. The main thing that draws me away from Jesus is feeling I'm not perfect! And yes like Martha I let myself get too busy. I dont know if it's just a girl thing to overthink and not feel adequate for Jesus. I thank you sis for the reminder to be still and that Jesus is always calling us back. Cried watching this today knowing I've been wrestling with the flesh this week. I'm almost out of quarantine and have not one single time opened up His word to guide me. I was lost, confused, ashamed that I would even do the things I did this week. I turned to Christ 3 years ago after being addicted to porn and recently the enemy has brought it back to my attention. I don't need porn to survive I need JESUS!!! so taylor I can't thank you enough, this video had my name written all over it! Jesus is my refuge and He knew just the way to open back up my eyes to see a little clearer❤🙏God bless you and your voice that is reaching others across the world!

I’m going through the same thing. A really really tough season. High school is so hard!! I’m praying God would help me and send fellowship along my way. Loneliness is real struggle. Even God said that it’s not good that man should be alone (Genesis2: 18). Trying to be the light is very hard in high school. It’s been a year since I’ve given my life to Christ and I’m starting to look back😔. It’s very hard to let go of the past and your past life/friendships. And it doesn’t help that I’ve been conforming to the world and being disobedient because I’ve been so sad and heartbroken. I’ve been becoming lukewarm and I just need a friend to help. Accountability and someone who can encourage me in my walk with God and I’d do the same for them. Though ig I need to get my 1st friendship right (Jesus). Pray that he would send someone across my way guys❤️
I know what you are going through, I've been struggling with loneliness and trying to be the light at school. When I became a Christian, I had to distance myself from my friends because they were constantly doing really bad things. Sometimes God brings you into a season of loneliness so that you can get closer to him. Remember that Jesus is with you and that he will never leave you and never forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). Don't look back, keep going forward on your walk with God because he is with you and wants a deeper relationship with you.
Definitely God will provide a friend who leads you in the Christ. Perfect love comes from Jesus , so his love fills your heart and shines in yourself where ever you places . Thank and praise God for getting the Lord in your life in this age .
You just encouraged me and most likely many others more than you may know. I’ve been really hard on myself these past two weeks. It’s been a cycle of having negative thoughts and condemning myself for not meeting the “perfect Christian standard”, and then feeling like I can’t go to God about that because he’s annoyed at me for not being a perfect child of his yet. I started to tell myself I can’t ask God for strength because he already has given me so much I should just have strength on my own by now, I should be perfect by now. I started to get angry at myself. Saying “how many times do I have to go to God for strength in my weakness? How many times do I have to go to God because I don’t feel perfect? It should be fixed by now. He’s annoyed with me. “
I have felt the same exact way this week, it's crazy the voices of the enemy and how he creeps in right when we feel conviction he turns it into condemnation. We serve the forgiving God who is our strong tower in times of need!

Oh Taylor, I might be the only Grandma, Granddaughter is 20, that follows C&BT . I must tell you how much you spoke to my heart today. 2022 has been a continuance of the last 7 years, daily physical challenges and pain. What you said about Refuge really struck a cord in me. God knew we would have challenges, struggles, sorrow and pain in this life. So He became our perfect refuge! He knew we could not be "perfect Christians" as we are not Jesus ! One of my favorite verses is Psalm 91: 2 - He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust . God bless you and keep you ! Hugs, love and prayers from a Kansas Grandma ❤️
This reminds me of one of my favorite Bible verses, Isaiah 41:13. It says, “for I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” He loves us and gently helps us as a Good Father would help a child. Praying for you, Tay. ❤️

When we know our God we can trust Him. He allows our faith to be tested, His assurance is He will carry us through our adversity. God is the one person we can be real with Him. He is big enough to absorb our anger and pain. He leads us beside Still Waters, and wherever He is there is peace. It is this that is our assurance through faith.
The past few months have been one of the hardest seasons for me that I have ever had. I used to avoid pain and suffering at all costs but there was something so liberating about walking through things that were so hard and allowing myself to grieve and immediately bringing Jesus into the situation. I look back now that I am healing and joyful after that season and I am so grateful for the hard and depressing season that I walked through. My relationship with the Lord was so strengthened because I allowed myself to be weak and frail before Him and I experienced life and healing because of that. His power is made perfect in our weakness! We can boast all the more about our weaknesses to magnify Him. I also feel like I have had this mentality that I have to keep everything "perfect" in the new year so I really appreciate you speaking out on this!
This is so good, can totally relate to this Abby. Praise the Lord for his unfailing love and grace towards us! I definitely hold myself to an unrealistic standard of perfection that's unattainable and am learning to surrender my plans to Him and know that I'm nothing without Him and His power is made perfect in my my weakness, that same power that raised Christ for the dead that now lives within us!! Thank you, I got such encouragement. In the end of December and start of January I and my whole family got covid. Day after day going through the virus body aches, chills, fevers and so much fatigue I did not feel God at all. I put on healing scripture, pray, and read my bible but I didn't feel God, all I felt was the sickness. But God made himself known to me. In psalm 23 how it says "your goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life.'" Literally that was my days. The goodness of God was by friends, who bought us food, left it outside the door. The law change, that I was to stay 10 days off from work, but I wasn't healthy to return, and God mercy had me stay 2 weeks off. It took time but I'm healed of covid, also all my family. I still struggle with a slight cough, I don't have my full energy, and I still get tired, but again God is helping me daily. Thank you again for the reminder that God is my refuge and is helping me ❤

I started this year in tears living in fear, worry and anxiety, but just watching this video reminded me that God is with me always and He sent me His Spirit to lead and guide me and to never leave nor forsake me. This is so encouraging! So is the comment section! I too have been walking through a difficult and emotional season but it is really teaching me to fully depend on the Father - and be FULLY satisfied in Him alone. I'm learning to continue to place Jesus at the centre of my life and not chase the things of this world. People will never truly satisfy - only Jesus can give true contentment. Praise God for His consistency and never-ending grace in spite of our sin and brokenness, and that He is our refuge, strength and our DELIVERER!! Also, keeping an eternal perspective is so key, THIS IS NOT THE END!! There is a day when we meet face to face with Jesus we will be free from all pain and suffering. This life is just the beginning, but He's testing our faith and perseverance in the meantime. Diving into His Word has helped me so so much - when I'm struggling don't know what to do or say I'll just read the Bible, as it will NEVER return void, is never a waste of time and is so grounding. He will bless those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). God bless you all and know I'm praying for whoever reads this!!!! 💓

His love for us despite knowing our darkness and filth. He is our refuge. Our strength and helper. He knows that we are struggling and He knows our weaknesses. today i was thinking of skipping my quiet time because i didn’t feel “holy enough” or “acceptable enough” to face Him and read His Word. but in these moments, i need Him even more. this has encouraged me to run into His arms. into His grace and mercy. thank you, and i thank God. praise the Lord

Wow Taylor you hit it. God is so good! In brokenness He is good, in hurt He is good, in joy He is good, in the drought He is good, in the harvest He is God and He is good!
Wow.. I’m blown away. This video was waiting for me. I had a rough start earlier this January due to my dad being too critical about how fear took over certain parts of my life and he ended up saying all of my flaws in one go. I was very discouraged and I had so much questions about my life. I felt unloved at one point and I thought.. what’s the point of my life if there’s gonna be so much pain? But then I got reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” If we didn’t have any weaknesses or flaws, we wouldn’t have to rely on our Savior. But it’s crucial to rely on our Savior who died for our sins. I have poor EQ (emotional intelligence) throughout my whole life and when I go thru too many emotions at once, I simply feel overwhelmed. I simply don’t like getting emotional when I’m at my lowest. I do struggle with perfectionism too! I have so much moments of overthinking whenever I’m doing something right or wrong. I often think: Am I being the perfect Christian girl who I’m supposed to be? Is this what I’m saying makes sense? All kinds of questions that leads to overthinking. At one point I thought God is not gonna save me from my emotional impulses. Every time I react by impulse, I end up regretting and crying. I literally don’t wanna be too sensitive to the point where I may be seen as a foolish person who has no control over her emotions. But my weakness is that I can be sensitive at times aka HSP which stands for highly sensitive person. I cannot be letting doubt take over my life whenever I did a mistake whether by emotional impulse or not. Taylor, This video was talking to me directly and I know how weak I am. What you read from Psalm 46:1, it’s so entirely true! It shows how much we need our Savior to help us. To be our strength and helper. I really hope I can develop emotional intelligence slowly! Since reacting by emotional impulse and being too sensitive are my greatest weaknesses by far. I rather be vulnerable than hide under a mask pretending everything’s okay. Thank you Taylor for expressing your vulnerability and light through this video. 🙌 You’re a bright light shining in this world, this encouraged to not give up on my emotions and this reminded me that I’m not alone in my battles. Yes, always remember that, His grace and His perfect patience is more than enough. You don't need to be the "perfect Christian girl" because she doesn't exist. What matters is that you are His child. God chose you, loves you, considers you irreplaceable, and precious beyond measure. I feel the same a lot, I suffer from anxiety, depression, and sensory overload. In addition to me being sensitive by nature, I struggle with functioning from day to day. I experience emotional outbursts too, and I instantly regret, but I think both of us need to keep this in mind, God will make it happen when its the right time. There is a time under heaven for all things. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) Trust our Father, because He is and always will be the One who loves us the most. He is our everything, and our protector. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (proverbs 3:5-6) His love never leaves, and never gives up. His grace is sufficient. Some advice - taking time to go to God everyday in prayer and in bible studies, we not only get to talk to God and be in His presence (because He sees and honors when we take time to seek Him) but He gives us the strength we need for the day. (Don't think I do this 'perfectly' because I'm telling you right now, I do NOT. But I want others to know He often blesses us for it.) He is our source. God loves you. He's got you. Keep trusting in Him. Sometimes all it takes is a little faith.

I think sometimes God just waits until we admit we can’t do it by ourselves. There is so many times I’ve tried to solve things or fix things by my own power. I fall short every single time because I need a savior. We aren’t meant to live this life alone. For where we are weak he is strong and that is why we need him to navigate this thing called life.
I really desire to come in this year in clean slate like really super good relationship with God but then at the last week of 2021 I struggle a lot with anxiety that led me to not prioritize Him and I feel so guilty and bad. I tried in the last days, but I still enter the year in not good state yet I remind myself that it’s okay. It’s just a year that’s changing, but God gives us new grace every morning and we can always start again. :)

To be honest, I’ve never seen God as really a protector. My life from day one was riddled with emotional and relational brokenness. I never understand why he let the horrible things that happened to me and keep happening to happen. I was like Job wondering, doubting, questioning and rightly so. If I had no questions then that wouldn’t make sense. These last two years I’ve been seeing and discovering how deep the emotional hurt went in me, and it has been overwhelming cause I didn’t know how deep it went. Like Job I didn’t get an answer as to what God’s plan was in my life specifically, but I started to see that there is a lot going on behind the scenes. Am I no longer angry, doubtful, or sad? No way. However, I am starting to for the first time realize that there are things behind the scenes.

Cried watching this today knowing I've been wrestling with the flesh this week. I'm almost out of quarantine and have not one single time opened up His word to guide me. I was lost, confused, ashamed that I would even do the things I did this week. I turned to Christ 3 years ago after being addicted to porn and recently the enemy has brought it back to my attention. I don't need porn to survive I need JESUS!!! so taylor I can't thank you enough, this video had my name written all over it! I’m going through the same thing. A really really tough season. High school is so hard!! I’m praying God would help me and send fellowship along my way. Loneliness is real struggle. Even God said that it’s not good that man should be alone (Genesis2: 18). Trying to be the light is very hard in high school. It’s been a year since I’ve given my life to Christ and I’m starting to look back😔. It’s very hard to let go of the past and your past life/friendships. And it doesn’t help that I’ve been conforming to the world and being disobedient because I’ve been so sad and heartbroken. I’ve been becoming lukewarm and I just need a friend to help. Accountability and someone who can encourage me in my walk with God and I’d do the same for them. Though ig I need to get my 1st friendship right (Jesus). Pray that he would send someone across my way guys❤️

I know what you are going through, I've been struggling with loneliness and trying to be the light at school. When I became a Christian, I had to distance myself from my friends because they were constantly doing really bad things. Sometimes God brings you into a season of loneliness so that you can get closer to him. Remember that Jesus is with you and that he will never leave you and never forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). Don't look back, keep going forward on your walk with God because he is with you and wants a deeper relationship with you.
Definitely God will provide a friend who leads you in the Christ.
Perfect love comes from Jesus , so his love fills your heart and shines in yourself where ever you places .

You just encouraged me and most likely many others more than you may know. I’ve been really hard on myself these past two weeks. It’s been a cycle of having negative thoughts and condemning myself for not meeting the “perfect Christian standard”, and then feeling like I can’t go to God about that because he’s annoyed at me for not being a perfect child of his yet. I started to tell myself I can’t ask God for strength because he already has given me so much I should just have strength on my own by now, I should be perfect by now. I started to get angry at myself. Saying “how many times do I have to go to God for strength in my weakness? How many times do I have to go to God because I don’t feel perfect? It should be fixed by now. He’s annoyed with me. “
I have felt the same exact way this week, it's crazy the voices of the enemy and how he creeps in right when we feel conviction he turns it into condemnation.
We serve the forgiving God who is our strong tower in times of need!

When we know our God we can trust Him. He allows our faith to be tested, His assurance is He will carry us through our adversity. God is the one person we can be real with Him. He is big enough to absorb our anger and pain. He leads us beside Still Waters, and wherever He is there is peace. It is this that is our assurance through faith.
The past few months have been one of the hardest seasons for me that I have ever had. I used to avoid pain and suffering at all costs but there was something so liberating about walking through things that were so hard and allowing myself to grieve and immediately bringing Jesus into the situation. I look back now that I am healing and joyful after that season and I am so grateful for the hard and depressing season that I walked through. My relationship with the Lord was so strengthened because I allowed myself to be weak and frail before Him and I experienced life and healing because of that. His power is made perfect in our weakness! We can boast all the more about our weaknesses to magnify Him. I also feel like I have had this mentality that I have to keep everything "perfect" in the new year so I really appreciate you speaking out on this!

I definitely hold myself to an unrealistic standard of perfection that's unattainable and am learning to surrender my plans to Him and know that I'm nothing without Him and His power is made perfect in my my weakness, that same power that raised Christ for the dead that now lives within us!! Thank you, I got such encouragement. In the end of December and start of January I and my whole family got covid. Day after day going through the virus body aches, chills, fevers and so much fatigue I did not feel God at all. I put on healing scripture, pray, and read my bible but I didn't feel God, all I felt was the sickness. But God made himself known to me. In psalm 23 how it says "your goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life.'" Literally that was my days. The goodness of God was by friends, who bought us food, left it outside the door. The law change, that I was to stay 10 days off from work, but I wasn't healthy to return, and God mercy had me stay 2 weeks off. It took time but I'm healed of covid, also all my family. I still struggle with a slight cough, I don't have my full energy, and I still get tired, but again God is helping me daily. Thank you again for the reminder that God is my refuge and is helping me ❤

This is so encouraging! So is the comment section! I too have been walking through a difficult and emotional season but it is really teaching me to fully depend on the Father - and be FULLY satisfied in Him alone. I'm learning to continue to place Jesus at the centre of my life and not chase the things of this world. People will never truly satisfy - only Jesus can give true contentment. Praise God for His consistency and never-ending grace in spite of our sin and brokenness, and that He is our refuge, strength and our DELIVERER!! Also, keeping an eternal perspective is so key, THIS IS NOT THE END!! There is a day when we meet face to face with Jesus we will be free from all pain and suffering. This life is just the beginning, but He's testing our faith and perseverance in the meantime. Diving into His Word has helped me so so much - when I'm struggling don't know what to do or say I'll just read the Bible, as it will NEVER return void, is never a waste of time and is so grounding. He will bless those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). God bless you all and know I'm praying for whoever reads this!!!! 💓

Wow.. I’m blown away. This video was waiting for me. I had a rough start earlier this January due to my dad being too critical about how fear took over certain parts of my life and he ended up saying all of my flaws in one go. I was very discouraged and I had so much questions about my life. I felt unloved at one point and I thought.. what’s the point of my life if there’s gonna be so much pain? But then I got reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
If we didn’t have any weaknesses or flaws, we wouldn’t have to rely on our Savior. But it’s crucial to rely on our Savior who died for our sins. I have poor EQ (emotional intelligence) throughout my whole life and when I go thru too many emotions at once, I simply feel overwhelmed. I simply don’t like getting emotional when I’m at my lowest. I do struggle with perfectionism too! I have so much moments of overthinking whenever I’m doing something right or wrong. I often think: Am I being the perfect Christian girl who I’m supposed to be? Is this what I’m saying makes sense? All kinds of questions that leads to overthinking.
At one point I thought God is not gonna save me from my emotional impulses. Every time I react by impulse, I end up regretting and crying. I literally don’t wanna be too sensitive to the point where I may be seen as a foolish person who has no control over her emotions. But my weakness is that I can be sensitive at times aka HSP which stands for highly sensitive person. I cannot be letting doubt take over my life whenever I did a mistake whether by emotional impulse or not.
Taylor, This video was talking to me directly and I know how weak I am. What you read from Psalm 46:1, it’s so entirely true! It shows how much we need our Savior to help us. To be our strength and helper. I really hope I can develop emotional intelligence slowly! Since reacting by emotional impulse and being too sensitive are my greatest weaknesses by far. I rather be vulnerable than hide under a mask pretending everything’s okay. Thank you Taylor for expressing your vulnerability and light through this video. 🙌

Yes, always remember that, His grace and His perfect patience is more than enough. You don't need to be the "perfect Christian girl" because she doesn't exist. What matters is that you are His child. God chose you, loves you, considers you irreplaceable, and precious beyond measure. I feel the same a lot, I suffer from anxiety, depression, and sensory overload. In addition to me being sensitive by nature, I struggle with functioning from day to day. I experience emotional outbursts too, and I instantly regret, but I think both of us need to keep this in mind, God will make it happen when its the right time. There is a time under heaven for all things. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) Trust our Father, because He is and always will be the One who loves us the most. He is our everything, and our protector. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (proverbs 3:5-6) His love never leaves, and never gives up. His grace is sufficient. Some advice - taking time to go to God everyday in prayer and in bible studies, we not only get to talk to God and be in His presence (because He sees and honors when we take time to seek Him) but He gives us the strength we need for the day. (Don't think I do this 'perfectly' because I'm telling you right now, I do NOT. But I want others to know He often blesses us for it.) He is our source. God loves you. He's got you. Keep trusting in Him. Sometimes all it takes is a little faith.

I think sometimes God just waits until we admit we can’t do it by ourselves. There is so many times I’ve tried to solve things or fix things by my own power. I fall short every single time because I need a savior. We aren’t meant to live this life alone. For where we are weak he is strong and that is why we need him to navigate this thing called life.
I really desire to come in this year in clean slate like really super good relationship with God but then at the last week of 2021 I struggle a lot with anxiety that led me to not prioritize Him and I feel so guilty and bad. I tried in the last days, but I still enter the year in not good state yet I remind myself that it’s okay. It’s just a year that’s changing, but God gives us new grace every morning and we can always start again. :)

To be honest, I’ve never seen God as really a protector. My life from day one was riddled with emotional and relational brokenness. I never understand why he let the horrible things that happened to me and keep happening to happen. I was like Job wondering, doubting, questioning and rightly so. If I had no questions then that wouldn’t make sense. These last two years I’ve been seeing and discovering how deep the emotional hurt went in me, and it has been overwhelming cause I didn’t know how deep it went. Like Job I didn’t get an answer as to what God’s plan was in my life specifically, but I started to see that there is a lot going on behind the scenes. Am I no longer angry, doubtful, or sad? No way. However, I am starting to for the first time realize that there are things behind the scenes.
