Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always I I love lytham windmill lots of nice houses you passed lytham is a nice area I hope that the other windmill gets ne sails have a great evening xx
Thanks for another great video Stephen, showing us some of the places that most of us won't get a chance to see. Some of the houses were pretty big, love the original brick wall along the street. Keep up the good work and be safe 👍
Like these drive through videos Stephen and you are right Blackpool council should take heed of Lytham's trees a few leafy streets would look wonderful. Must be a record Stephen no sirens! Thank you for your time we appreciate it😊😊😊.
Fylde Council seems a much more productive assembly. I'm guessing Blackpool, gaining their independence, subscribed to the woke agenda, like here in Manchester. Produces only inequity and encourages division, despite portraying to represent the complete opposite.
Great video Stephen really enjoyed it. Lots of trees and nice houses. Never been along this road. Didn’t know about this windmill . Love your driving videos always interesting to watch 👍🥰❤️
That was really interesting, giving me a better appreciation of the whole area. I must say the whole environment was much more appealing than central Blackpool. I would now give much more serious consideration to retiring to the area! Thank you!
Lots of good childhood memories of playing around Little Marton Windmill or, as we called it, "The Winnie". The sails are always getting damaged every time theres extremely strong winds or storms. I remember one year there was an extreme storm that left one sail on the ground and another dangerously hanging down. Not too sure but I think a good few years ago, there was an attempt at one point to fully restore it but either funding ran out or parts were unavailable and too expensive to have manufactured.
Yes, the M&C pub used to be called the Queensway aka Q Block for those of us who used to work at the DWP site and pop along there for lunch occasionally ☺☺
I was in Lytham on Sunday ive never been before went for a wander had Seniors fish n chips and sat outside Lytham Library. I saw signs for the windmill and got lots of pictures of that and the lifeboat house im suprised i didnt see you Stephen great video
Good evening Steve. Really did enjoy your drive from windmill to windmill. The quality of the video footage 4060p, it was absolutely Excellent. Your Incredible knowledge of the different areas and places around Blackpool is really Fantastic. Professional, Attention to detail, Video editing the Best. Steve your video's are Superb. 😁😁😁😁
The plaque on Martin Windmill is dedicated to Allen Clarke. He was a Journalist from Manchester who fell in love with the Fylde countryside and moved to Blackpool. He cycled all round the Fylde and Over Wyre. He wrote a book called Windmill Land about all the windmills he visited and the people he met. He also published a regular newsletter of news and views of the time.
Your roads need some attention Crickey !!! Very interesting to see different places I bet that would be interesting going in that windmill till the next one 😊
That was great, Stephen. I have mentioned before that I love the Lytham windmill but have never visited the other one. We always drive on the A854 from Lytham to St Annes but think we will take this route next time. Very scenic with some beautiful houses😊
Thanks a lot Stephen. Great video. Sure looks a lot nicer than the "Thai Paradise" neighbourhood LOL Looking forward to checking out some cricket -- if I can ever find the time to get the heck out of BC (hey, you'll have to come back for a visit!!).
Hello Steve how are you love your vidio just to let you know adventure me Darren is doing a live stream last night for the fireworks best wishes take care stay safe xx ❤😅
Am I correct in thinking the Lytham windmill was sold for best to nothing on the basis that it would be renovated and was from what I remember turned into a home.
The windmill is owned by the council, I believe. It'll never be turned into a house. I certainly wouldn't want to live in a converted windmill in the middle of a big green, with loads of people taking pics all day every day.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Ah right is there one further up going towards Fleetwood you can see tower behind it? I was 14 at time I last went to Fleetwood

When I visit Blackpool, I often park near the Lytham windmill, and cycle to the tower!
That is a fair distance!
Great video

A few potholes June!
I road the windmills for the hospice for charity for a few years ( all the windmills on the Fylde coast )

I used to repair Les Dawsons washer, he was a fantastic guy saddly missed.
I used to work at a house on Islay Road & drove past the Dawsons’s a few times, but that was after he’d passed away.
👋🏴🌷hi Stephen

I've got a lovely photo of my Grandaughter taken when she was 7 (she's now 13) standing in front of Marton windmill. 🤗
Nice one.
There was a lot of names in that video I must’ve of heard for 30 years .but one things still the same that road is still bumpy as hell I see
Great video 👍 my parents friends moved to Lytham St annes in the late 80's due to working at the tax office is that still around great video cheers 🍻
Hope the windmill gets its sales back soon 🤞
Good video. I kept feeling for the brakes 😅
Funny how the windiest place in England has so few wind turbines, if I was Blackpool I would shipem all to Lytham
Top video Stephen, 4k 60 is best.
Live in Blackpool with Adventureme, at 7.30.
Was there not a windmill aswell on the seafront at Blackpool near south pier years back
Lytham looks like a bit of a millionaires playground. Not a roadman or a mobility scooter in sight.
Not many beer monsters or tracksuit clad scallies either.
More like wannabee road men in Blackpool 😂
Well hi there Stephen
Hi Steven was there a windmill near to Mear Park?
Not that I know of Kathleen.
Windmills
Interesting, when were the windmills last used?
Early 1900's

Hi Steven how many Windmills does around Blackpool have 2 or 3
There are a few around, but this is the only windmill in Blackpool itself.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Ah right is there one further up going towards Fleetwood you can see tower behind it? I was 14 at time I last went to Fleetwood

There always seems to be a drama at Central Pier
can you do a video of george formbys house and les dawsons house please
Already did George Formby way back this year.
I think you need some new shock absorbers Stephen.
Just passed MOT. My van has sportline lowered springs, so it's a hard-ish ride.
Lytham looks posh ,am I right Stephen?
It sure is.
Hi Stephen
Thank goodness I don't live in Lancashire, the condition of some of those roads is dreadful. What is Lancashire County Council doing? 🥴
Not much, apparently!
Blackpool council should be utterly ashamed of themselves 🤬🤬
Think it under replacement because of the strong winds we get in Blackpool broken and loosen then
R you meeting up with random and desperate
His videos were filmed ages ago here. I met him then.
