    Thanks for this! Its nice to see the Artificer getting some spotlight, people tend to overrate the Assassin and forget about the Artificer's amazing traps/Pincushion synergy and the cooldown passive.

    I'm loving your videos ! You're very thorough and informative and even though I kind of never got into this game when it first came out, with your guides and vids I'm totally into it now my man!
    I'm going through and trying to watch every one you've done on DAI.
    I've always been a warrior and dwarve lover but with your guides I might just make a mage and rogue build and that's saying something for me lol.

      I am glad my guides helped you enjoy the game more. I do recommend that you try most of the classes(if not all of them) out. They offer totally different gameplay and new role-play experience.

    I had dozens of nightmare play throughs before I found your top combo vid. Up till then I had not even once done artificer. Now I think doing it as a dwarf the first time was my all time favorite play through and I started a human where I intend to put a softened Leliana on the Sunburst throne. My choices almost always just ended up with Cassandra but last time I accidentally put Viv there. But this second artificer is going for a mellow Leliana heading the Chantry. I still can’t get IB. and Dorian to hook up so that is another goal for this run.
    I OWE YOU BIG because that combo vid completely changed almost everything for me. THANK YOU 🙏

    Started the video thinking my strategy wasn’t any of these but ending it with Hybrid I actually laughed seeing as I do it almost like that expect I start with explosive shot into Hook & Grab into Leaping shot(with the upgrade that makes my inquisitor go into stealth) and go and plant a spike mine among my enemies before doing Hook & grab w/ Leaping shot again ending with elemental mines or throwing blades.
    Video was awesome btw 🤘👌

    • @AKisHerceg

      Nice! I do recommend using Throwing Blades before Leaping Shot on bosses though, since the 12 arrow form Leaping Shot will apply the +25% damage from the upgrade of Throwing Blades(Precision Targeting). That is a true boss killer! :)

    You can add hidden blades +4 and +5 on the leaper gear for maximum mayhem. I was obsessed with guard on hit for many playthroughs until finding out about the horn of valor upgrade that gives guard to all the party when they hit stuff

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +2

      That certainly works as well, same with Targets Explode or Walking Bomb(pretty much the best cc damage masterworks). I would still recommend Walking Fortress and Guard on hit though, because the build is more universal that way(which was my goal with these overpowered builds), since you can actually solo the game with them. You have plenty of damage and with those masterworks you have the "safety side" covered as well. :)

    Giving a look at the 'Whirlwind' build. Even without the numbers the build is easy: Sabotage tree till HnT and TB enhanced and daggers tree till SB enhanced. For equipment try to have an high crit chance and masterwork something giving guard and something with Hidden Blades. What i dont get is why do that in an artificer build; there is little in the artificer tree with sinergy while, assassin and tempest can add a lot more.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  Год назад +1

      It is quite obvious why it works well with the Artificer. Throwing Blades and Spinning Blades are both multiple hit abilities and since with each critical hit you remove cooldown if you have the Artificer passive Opportunity Knocks, you can just spam these two abilities non-stop. TB will enhance your SB power as well, so you can rip enemies to shreds in seconds.

  • @Wolferys

    Some weird thing about elemental mines is that without the upgrade they only deal 50% damage but with the throw everything upgrade it goes up to 175% for some reason.
    It turns the skill from something just for fun/crowd control into the strongest AoE skill in the game that shreds groups of mobs.
    The thing is that this difference isn't written anywhere so I'm not sure if it's a bug or they just forgot to buff the base ability? Kinda confusing

    The Artificer is definitely the most OP among the rogue specializations. . . If you're not using AI. In my current playthrough, I am playing as a Rift mage and I found that DW Sera with lightning flask is extremely good along with an archer Cole, the bug for leaping shot and elemental mines is extremely annoying. Having two rogue though means Lost in the Mist Galore, really helped me against those damn Hakkonites. Ok, I'm ABSOLUTELY invested in the Hybrid build. I'm level 10, but I'm looking for advice on increasing my crit rate. I'm sitting at a pathetic 7%, and I don't know what gear and weapons are available to start seeing the build come together. This early in the game with no master works, and me having no clue where to get fade touched materials, AND the fact that I've only found one bow other than the one I started the game with is leaving me WEAK. Heightening my crit chance early sounds like something that will pull most of this together, but it seems I need a lot of assistance, if you have a moment!

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  2 года назад +12

      Yeah, you need a few more levels. Initially you can just throw around Elemental Mines after you unlocked your spec to destroy mobs and gain xp. Once you are at around level 15, that is where the fun really starts.
      First off, do you have the Black Emporium dlc? You can get a ton of great bow schematics there if you have the money for them. They don't have level requirements, so if you have the money, you can buy them even at lvl 10. A tier 3-4 masterwork can do wonders for a lvl 10 character.
      You can also get a ton of crafting materials here. You can also get crafting materials from the Descent dlc's outpost. What you are looking for is Great Bear Hide in your bow's offensive slot. Great bear Hide gives the best crit chance(outside of Ice Dragon Hide but you can only get that from one place). If you have a bow which has utility slots instead of offensive slots, pick either Craggy Skin or Lurker Hide. These two give the highest amount of Cunning in a utility slot(and Cunning increases crit chance).
      Bringing Varric with you with his passive "And Take Them Down" is also great, since that is another 5% additional crit chance for you and the entire team. So yours and Varric's passive together is already a 10% crit chance without any equipment or other skills.
      You should also unlock passive skills with "+3 cunning on unlock".
      I recommend you check out some of my videos for more info. Here is the list of the vids you should watch:
      "My favorite weapon schematics in the game for each class"
      "Top 10 best Masterwork materials"
      My "Master Archer" Trilogy build also has useful infos for any Artificer. :)

I do have access to the black emporium, and all DLC, I'm just having flash backs to being too broke to afford anything when I first played 3 years ago. I guess the Inquisition doesn't pay very well. I was a Knight Enchanter, and the build worked right away. The gear was just a bonus, which I got from that Dwarven DLC (The Decent, I believe?) So I was about to play that as soon as I could because after that crazy fight with that Lyrium beast, the gear was absolutely worth it, and I'm hoping it's true for a Rogue too. I play on PS4 and found one big difference. I recently did an artificer playthrough and had a ton of fun with it (opportunity knocks is just so OP), but my focus was on the Elemental Mines/Throw Everything ability, and the frustrating thing was the ineffectiveness of the mines on dragons and giants, which simply didn't set off the mines most of the time. Their big ol' feet would stomp all over them, but the mines would rarely go off, leaving me feeling pretty worthless in those fights. I had no idea they worked on the PC version until I saw this video!

    About the trapper build, which skills do u recommend to pick after skyhold, should I go straight to the elemental mines or not, and does it go well in the beginning or it only becomes good after u get high level? And which skills should I pick before skyhold?

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +2

      Well, first off, trapper works with dual dagger and a bow, but I recommend the bow, since you can stay at range with it. :)
      Second, before Skyhold, you do not have the specialization, so I recommend getting Poisoned Weapons with the Leeching Poison upgrade and everything in the Archery tree(Exploding Shot works very well with Poisoned Weapons at the beginning). Get the Pincushion passive as fast as possible too from Archery.
      After you unlock the Specialization, you get the Pincushion passive from archery and get the Elemental Mines with the Throw everything upgrade. Everything else comes after these two skills. You need 3 point to get Pincushion and 4 to get Elemental Mines with the upgrade, so if the specialization would be available before Skyhold, you could get the most basic part of the build at level 7.
      After these, you progress in the Artificer tree and get every passive. Opportunity Knocks being the most important. Tricks of the Trade and And Take Them Down comes after. After this, you just get Looked Like It Hurt from the Sabotage tree(so that you can replenish your stamina along with your very fast cooldown and keep throwing mines like crazy).
      The build works well with poor equipment(because of the multiple hits on the enemies from the mines and the increasing damage after every hit from Pincushion), but naturally it works even better with good equipment.
      The only two problem with it is that Elemental Mines sometimes ignore large targets, especially Giants(as you see it in the video, you can use it against dragons, but sometimes even they won't activate it). The other problem is that the multiple explosion has a chance to crash your game.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +1

      Yes. You can put crit chance on your armor or your weapon, depending on what you prefer(with Varric: as an archer, you can only customize the armor, if he is a dual dagger, than you can build his weapons as well). Dexterity is also very important, along with Cunning. Luckily, Dexterity not only increases your attack, but your Critical Damage as well and Cunning increases your Critical Chance. So the best armors/weapons are basically items that give Dexterity, Cunning, Critical Chance and Critical Damage slots. The Superior Prowler armor with the upgrades, is pretty much the best armor for a rogue in terms of damage.
      Yeah, that fight is pretty tough, since you barely have anything to hit the Pride Demon with, and it has a ton of health. But the main problem is not the demon but the Shades that come out of the portal. You need to get rid of them as fast as possible. :)

    By the way why aren't you using the stealth upgrade for Leaping Shot? It's really good as it gives you free stealth every time (and it got permanent stealth until you attack unlike the normal Stealth ability that is temporary) which is great for defense and utility and hitting from stealth also gives you a damage buff of +50% or so (+the armor penetration buff if you got the Ambush passive). Also if you have the Clinging Shadows upgrade for stealth it affecs Leaping Shot too and you stay hidden for several seconds after you attack.
    The other Leaping Shot upgrade on the other hand is near useless cause the damage bonus only affects auto attacks and you rarely use them on Artificer.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  4 года назад +2

      I do not use it on these builds because they were not intended to use Stealth. Except the Trapper, but I choose to use a different ability with it, since Leaping Shot would have taken away the "trap focus". It is hard to not spam it once you have it. :)
      I used Leaping Shot with the Stealth upgrade many times on many build, especially at the beginning, since it is super helpful.
      Ambush however does not work with it, since it does not even work with Stealth. At least on pc.
      The damage bonus from the skill works on Leaping Shot too, not just auto attacks. It only works on one arrow out of the 12, but it works.
      But as I said yeah, I love the Stealth upgrade. In fact when I am low level I usually use it to reach the second camp in the Fallow Mire, since it will let you walk around the bog undisturbed. You can even get into the water and enemies will not spawn. So yeah, its pretty op. Even better than regular Stealth. The Flanking Attack gives similar effect too, with the upgrade.

    • @Wolferys
      @Wolferys 4 года назад +1

      @@AKisHerceg Leaping Shot is actually bugged and shoots 13 arrows instead of 12, with the one extra arrow dealing a lot more damage than the others (with and without the upgrade). So it might not be the effect of the upgrade but just that arrow dealing more damage.
      Also Ambush did work for me
      There is that guide here that shows the bugs and how some abilities got wrong descriptions based on the code. Some of the main ones are Combat Roll that deals 500% damage instead of 250% and Throwing Blades with the upgrade that gives +50% damage after each hit instead of 25%

    Fantastic video, thank you!
    I've just spec'ed and planning to do the hybrid tree. Just a few questions:
    1. I am having problems with lack of stamina to chain my attacks as fast as you do. Just 1 throwing blades + leaping shot and I have to shoot some normal arrows lamely for the next few seconds. Is there anything I can do about this at this point, or is it just an awkward teenage phase for the build?
    2. My current party is the standard tank + mage + rogue. It sounds important to build up my party's crit chance, so should I be using two rogues instead?
    3. I am having a severe lack of skill points to get the hybrid build working, so can I skip poisoned weapons and leeching poison? I'm level 13. Or would you recommend that I go for them anyway? My current loadout is throwing blades, leaping shot, explosive shot, spike trap, caltrops, hook and tackle.
    4. Traps. Should I be using caltrops at all? When is a good time to drop a Spike trap? I notice the enemies focusing on my tank do not trigger my spike traps. I have to literally hug them and drop a spike trap for them to trigger it. Am I doing this wrongly?
    5. The build doesn't seem to require Shot from the Shadows, could you explain why you pumped it? And why One-Shot instead of Throw everything for Elemental Mines, since the latter might contribute to the pincushion and crit chance count?
    (Sorry for the barrage of questions!)

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +3

      Thanks! :)
      1. You have to boost your critical chance and get the passive "Looked Like It Hurt" skill. Your problem with stamina will be gone forever. :)
      2. You should get Varric. Varric's passives will be added to yours so that is a +5% crit chance right there(plus his passive Opportunity Knocks synergizes with yours so that is even less cooldown time for you). Varric is the best choice for a fellow Artificer. The rest of the team can be a warrior(tank) and a mage(support).
      3. Well, you are level 13(if you are a human that is 15 skill points), so that is not a surprise. You need to gain more levels to get the full buid working. My recommendation is to get all skills in the Artificer tree(passives+ Elemental Mines with the Throw Everything upgrade), Leaping Shot and the Pincushion passive from the Archery tree and the Looked Like it Hurt from the Sabotage tree. That is 15 skillpoints well spent. With those skills you will have no trouble gaining a few more levels to complete the build. Use Leaping Shot spam on bosses and use Elemental Mines spam on crowds. Easy and it works marvelously.Just get some crit chance on your equipment and you are ready to go.
      4. Hybrid does not use Caltrops. It is a waste of time for that build. Spike Trap is amazing for defense. With it, you basically can't be surrounded or sneak attacked. As soon as you see a Rogue going into Stealth or if a mob is forming around you, place one down and stay there. The trap will activate if the enemies go near you, and it will explode into their face and you will be unharmed.
      5. This build is not a Stealth build, so I deliberately left out any Stealth ability. On the skill tree, I picked the Rolling Draw upgrade for Leaping Shot. Same with Elemental Mines, I picked Throw Everything as the upgrade, as you can see it in the video too at 4:06. Not sure why it seems like I picked the other upgrades to you, but to me, Rolling Draw and Throw Everything are both on the left side of the upgrade portion of the Leaping Shot and Elemental Mines skills, and that is what is in the video too. :)
      Still, if the skill upgrade is placed differently for you(maybe a different patch?) then, yes, you should pick the Throw Everything and the Rolling Draw upgrades instead of the other ones.
      No problem! Happy to help! I hope you will have fun with your Artificer! :)

      4. Noted on the caltrops. For spike trap, does this mean I will not be using it for offense at all? So my offense would be A mix of leaping shot, throwing knives and elemental mines yeah? Is there a particularly good time to throw mines (e.g. knives, leaping shot THEN mines), or should I be throwing them as soon as CD is done?
      5. Yikes it seems many things are reversed for me! I'm playing the GOTY edition on pc, latest patch. Could you help to confirm if these upgrades are correct?
      Spike Trap > Shrapnel
      Elemental Mines > Throw everything
      Leaping Shot > Rolling Draw

      Hook & Tackle > It beats walking
      Throwing Blades > Precision targeting

      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +2

      Wow. So I guess my comment was never sent by YT since I don't see it here. Anyway:
      Yup, Spike Trap is defensive. It does not deal enough damage to use it as an offensive skill.
      Poisoned Weapon + Hook and Tackle + Throwing Blades + Leaping Shot. This is what you use against bosses(in this order for maximum damage). Against mobs, just throw out Elemental Mines and they will be dead in seconds. :)
      Yes, your upgrades are good. Spike Trap is optional, but I recommend that you pick Watch Your Step, since even though you don't use Stealth, the explosion force is stronger. Shrapnel does not give much damage from the Bleed effect.
      I find the specialization powers to be completely broken, so I prefer not to use them. Hail of Arrows and Thousand Cuts are especially op, killing bosses in seconds without any tactic or planning, so I prefer to use the not so op Mark of the Rift(plus it makes sense to use that skill, after all, you are the Herald :)).
      Naturally, you can use Hail of Arrows if you want, since it is an extremely powerful skill.

    By the way why do I see many people use Poisoned Weapons?
    It can't crit and does very little damage (a few hundreds at best) and the infected wounds upgrade only works on auto attacks and not abilities
    Leeching poison is not bad but there are better ways to heal like guard on hit, barrier etc
    The Tear of the Dead poison is a lot stronger as it can crit and hit 3k+ hits

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  4 года назад +4

      Leeching poison is very good at low level when you can't have masterworks. It is even better on AI dual wield rogues, since they don't drink up all of your potions and they can still stay alive. If you are playing with trials where you only heal 1 health with a potion, Leeching Poison is a must.
      Poisoned Weapons also works well with archers. Combining it with Exploding Shot(fire/poison explosion) causes one of the highest damage in the beginning(and the poison stays for a while causing even more damage), and it goes through enemy armor!
      Also if you want to go full offense with the masterworks, you can have it instead of guard on hit. Then you can put Hidden Blades or Enemies Explode, Walking Bomb or Walking Fortress on your weapons.
      Other than that, post Skyhold I think I only used it on my Poison Assassin and the Hybrid Artificer, because it mixes well with Tears of the Dead and fits the build. Also it is not consumable like TotD, and you can use it any time.
      It can function like a "pre-buff" for your weapons, giving them a little extra "kick" that is not affected by elemental resistance or armor.
      It is definitely more useful at the beginning than towards the end.

I prefer custom bows myself though, but that is why I did not really put any equipment recommendations in the video(only Masterwork), because it is entirely up to someone's preference what weapons or armor they want to use with the build! They work with any equipment as long as they provide enough total critical chance(50% at least) to get your cooldowns down! :)
      The only thing that I would mention, is that elemental mines tend to break the game if there is too many explosions(your screen starts going crazy and you can't control your character anymore). So be careful because even with the normal amount of mines that come from the skill, the game can break. With the bow, the added explosions can be... well... just save often. :)

    I don't get why i should dump point on deathblow.
    The description is so underwhelming and situational. It seems that twin fangs + flanking does more damage.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  4 года назад +3

      Flank attack does not do more damage than Deathblow(neither Twin Fangs). Initially they both do 200% damage, but Deathblow gains bonus based on the health loss by your enemy. After every 1% you gain +3% damage bonus. That means that after 49% you deal 447% damage.
      With the upgrade, you deal another 100% damage.
      And this is not all! Deathblow, if your enemy has less than 50% health will deal an additional cut, meaning it will be 2 cuts, one after the other. This also makes every enemy except bosses fall on the ground for a few seconds without being able to move(this is not in the description). This is why Deathblow is such a great skill even in the beginning, because the enemies cut by it can't fight back for a few seconds.
      So in total you can deal 2x 547% damage with Deathblow which is 1094% if you add the cuts together. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
      Combining it with Twin Fangs let me destroy the Ravager in seconds as you saw here 1:06. While Twin Fangs only deal double 7k damage, Deathblow deals double 16k damage. The next cut from Twin Fangs is 9k and 8k and double 19k from Deathblow. That is the damage difference between the two skill.
      And if you use it after Throwing Blades, it will cause monstrous damage as you can see it here 3:00. And that is just the initial first cut! I could not even do damage with the second because the dragon died from the first.
      Deathblow is simply amazing for damage. :)
      Flank Attack is amazing for positioning and for you to able to get close to your target with that initial blow. Plus it can put you into Stealth with the upgrade, so it is a great skill as well. But when it comes to damage, it can't compete with Deathblow.

    • @sololoquy3783
      @sololoquy3783 4 года назад +1

      @@AKisHerceg when i wrote "twin fangs + flanking" i don't mean flank attack the ability. what i mean is using twin fangs while flanking the enemy. (Although flank attack ability is great to initiate the positioning)
      Because the twin fangs without any upgrade does (200%+200% bonus) x 2 hit. Which means 800% damage right?
      If we added the ripping fangs upgrade. Shouldn't the calculation be : (200%+300% bonus) x 2 hit, outputting 1000% damage?
      Which means the damage output should be similar to deathblow.
      Although i could be misinterpreting the description.
      I've never used deathblow so i don't know how it works in practice. But you're right, from the video it does seems that deathblow is twice stronger than twin fangs.
      Do you find that deathblow on fresh enemy deal more damage than twin fangs? Or does it only shine when the enemy fell below 50% health?

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  4 года назад +3

      @@sololoquy3783 Initially they deal similar damage on fresh enemies(but Twin Fangs hits harder if you flank). Deathblow only cuts once if the target's health is more than 50%. So Twin Fangs can outperform Deathblow with the initial cut. Although there is a bug I experienced with Twin Fangs that even though you hit with both daggers, only one damage is registered sometimes. You can see this when I take down the Ravager with my Whirlwind Artificer. And you always have to flank for Twin Fangs to hit hard!
      Things changes drastically in favor of Deathblow after the 50% threshold(that is why the skill is called "Deathblow"). Deathblow's damage increases to insane levels while Twin Fangs deals the same amount of damage from deigning to end.
      Plus Deathblow not only gets stronger after that 50%, it gets stronger by 3% after every 1% health the enemy loses. So basically the lower the health of your foes, the harder it hits until it reaches 50%. After it reaches it, it is almost an "instant kill" skill for anybody who is not a boss. But even bosses get seriously injured by it. Plus the 2 cut animation has a small aoe, which I forgot to mention before, which causes every enemy to fall to the ground if they are close to each other.
      Look at it this way: Twin Fangs is a great weapon for a flanking build who wants to cut deep with the initial attacks.
      Deathblow is the ultimate weapon for enemies who are near death(50% health).
      Twin Fangs gains bonus from flanking, Deathblow gains bonus from the injuries of your enemies.
      The best thing is to do what I did. Combine the two! :)

      The key is in increasing the critical chance(cunning)/damage(dexterity-for rogues, it also increases attack). Have at least 55-60% crit chance and then pump crit dmg up to 190-210%.
      Then get these passives: Pincushion, Cheap Shot, Looked Like it Hurt.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +2

      Hi! Let's start from the beginning:
      Let's get this out of the way: The Barbarian Rock Crasher is a great weapon, from beginning till endgame. I love it. Check out my "Alchemist" build for Origins and Inquisition. That tempest used it all throughout the game and it worked very nicely.
      Varric is a menace as a dual dagger rogue. In my opinion far more potent than a raged one. Still both works provided you have the correct AI setup. I made a video not too long ago about AI builds, and I show what works best for Varric. You could check it out! :)
      Varric uses Leaping Shot poorly, so it is only good for him for defense with the Shot from the Shadows upgrade, since it will put him in Stealth(so he loses all aggro). Full Draw, Long Shot and Explosive Shot(especially combined with Poisoned Weapons) works very well for his AI.
      For dual dagger, I think the Scissor would work for him. The Whirlwind could have some trouble, since the AI often misses with Spinning Blades and ends up spinning in the air, constantly missing the target. You should definitely give him Flank Attack with the Skirmisher upgrade as an additional attack, since that puts him in Stealth and behind the targets.
      Elemental Mines are not really good for Varric, since they often bug out and fly in the air, dealing no damage. :)

      @@AKisHerceg ohh then to summarize. Early Varric using bianca with best possible upgrades- Standard Archer Rouge with some stealth abilties, and later at level 15+ switch it to dual wielding artificer with stealth and gap closer attacks ,(flank attack , deathblow, shadowstrike, stealth, toxic cloud lost in the mist)) (avoiding all easy to miss attacks like spiningblades , twing fangs) and get all the usefull passive abilities. @@letsbegin4584 Yeah, that sounds good. Poisoned Weapons with the Leeching Poison upgrade as fast as possible to keep him alive, especially at the beginning. It works well for dagger and bow. If you get Deathblow fast(in case you go with a dagger build from the beginning) with Flank Attack, then you have a very powerful combo detonator rogue(if you go with a mage who uses frost spells). Twin Fangs is also a great detonator.
      Spike Trap is also great after you unlocked the specialization. It will flung people in the air when they go close to him(so it's great for cc and for protection) and he can basically spam it. :)
      Just don't forget the most important thing: give him high crit chance gear! :)
      Around 40% at least with the specialization's 5% bonus from the passive skill. With Unforgiving Chain I don't think you need more.

      As for stamina, since you also need stamina to use skills, just pick up the Looked Like It Hurt passive skill from the Sabotage tree and there you have it! You can spam any ability you want.

      These are called "masterworks".
      In DAI, you can craft gear, right? Well, when you get to Skyhold, you are not only able to craft gear, but you can put certain rare materials into it when you craft it.
      These rare items are materials, with "fade enhanced" powers. They are called "Fade-Touched" materials. Almost every crafting material has a "fade-touched" version, most of then even have 2 kind. You can get these rare materials by farming the regular material. You have a chance to get them when farming. So when you go to a Silverite depo for example and click on it, you will get some Silverite, but you also have a chance to get a "Fade-Touched Silverite" - Fade-Touched Silverite has two version: one gives a 10% chance to cast Chain Lightning on hit, the other will give 5 guard after each hit.
      When you craft your weapon or armor at the Skyhold forge, you simple put these materials into the "masterwork" slot and you will receive the ability the item offers.
      Now, for you to access this function at the forge, you have to complete the War Table quest "Acquire the Arcanist" and you will get Dagna, the little dwarven girl from Dragon Age Origins(you can even get some dialogue about the Warden if you helped her back in Origins). Once you have her, you can create masterworks! :)

    What the best Dos build here for single target?

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +1

      I would say that the fastest killers of single targets are the Whirlwind and the Hybrid builds. Hybrid however, is also great for aoe damage. Whirlwind is more of a single-target focused build. So I think that is what you are looking for. :)

    • @codyking9733
      @codyking9733 3 года назад +1

      Single target is the Leaping shot build. Jumpin has a video where he pretty much "one shots" the dragon on nightmare using Hail of arrows. Hail of arrows>mighty tonic>stealth>thowing knives>leaping shot. Takes rougly 2.6 seconds to take the dragon from 100% to 0.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +2

      @@codyking9733 Sure, with Hail of Arrows, you can destroy anything in seconds. You don't actually need a build for it either. Just get Hail of Arrows up to tier 3 and Leaping Shot. Boom! You kill anything in seconds. Until you run out of focus. :)
      But my Leaper build shown here does not require focus power. In fact none of my builds require focus power to be overpowered. I kinda dislike the special focus powers so I never use them. Plus it is more challenging to create a build that does not need them to be op. :)
      And I think that was what the question was about: which build here is the fastest for single targets. It is obvious that it's the Hybrid, since that build uses the Throwing Blade + Leaping Shot skills in it's combo. Similar to the combo you mentioned with the focus power, but it leaves Hail of Arrows out, since as I said, I do not like relying on focus to make a viable build against single targets.

    This damage is so high omg, what gear do you use?
    How many crit % and crit damage dou you have

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  4 года назад +7

      I use different gear with different characters. My critical chance is always around 40-50%(it is easy to reach it with the Artificer, especially with the dual wield). Crit dmg is around 170-200. I use the Bow of the Beresaad with the Trapper, I use dual Coiled Strike with the Whirlwind, I use dual Stone Stalker Blade with the Scissor, I use Grunsmann's Bow with the Hybrid. And with the Leaper, I use the Masterwork Winged Longbow.
      Outside of the Hybrid who wears the dlc Hakkonite looking armor(Superb Medium Avvar armor) they all use the Superior Prowler Armor with its upgrades. I usually max dexterity on them. I use 1 +20 critical dmg ring and the Ring of Slice for the +5% crit chance and the +10% crit dmg. For archers the Amulet is always Malika's guard, for the rest it's different for each. Like for example I use the Amulet of Barrier with the Scissor so I can keep the build full offense. With the Whirlwind I use +10 dex amulet for more attack and I use guard on hit masterwork instead of the Amulet of Barrier. :)

      You are using the Whirlwind build? One of the key ingredients of the Whirlwind is the unique effect of the Throwing Blades. You need to unlock the "Precision Targeting" upgrade for the damage bonus. The game applies the damage bonus to the next attack, so you should use it with the Spinning Blades immediately after(so the first skill is Throwing Blades, then immediately after that, Spinning Blades). Spinning Blades with the "Pincushion" passive from the Archery tree(by the way, make sure you have Pincushion, it is a must for high damage)will quickly get you a huge damage bonus(5% after each hit for 10 sec with Pincushion).
      So, in short: Respec, unlock Pincushion, unlock Throwing Blades with the Precision Targeting upgrade, and unlock Spinning Blades with the Neverending Spin upgrade.
      Even without the rest of the build, this combo should work and you should get very high damage, very quickly!
      Now test it on a boss(like a dragon). If you don't get crazy high damage, then there is something wrong with your game. Probably a bug that prevents the damage to add up.

      First, what level are you at? I assume you already reached Skyhold, so that means that the Hissing Wastes(the desert where it is night time) is available for you to visit. Get there and find the Canyon Merchant. It is close to one of the camps that you discover there. It is in a canyon. You must get the "Short LIst" inquisition Perk from Josephine from the war table. This will allow you to have options to buy certain items from certain merchants that would not be available otherwise.
      Now, go to the Canyon Merchant and buy the Superior Prowler Armor schematics, and its upgrades. This is the best armor for Rogues in the game. You will have to create the armor yourself, so that means that you can put anything in it that helps improving your damage. The armor schematics randomly appears in the store(after you got the perk from Jospehine) so you have exit the game and come back again a few times in order for it to appear.
      Once you have it, you must fill it up with items that give you Dexterity, Critical damage and critical chance.
      As for weapons, if you are an archer, you can buy the Grunsmann's Bow schematics from the Black Emporium dlc, or the Bow of the Beresaad schematics. Both of them provide excellent damage.
      If you use dual dagger, than you can get the Coiled Strike schematics(Black Emporium dlc) or the Stone Stalker Blade schematics(Descent dlc). Fill it up with anything that gives you more attack, critical damage and critical chance.
