I have seen incorrect use of gloves and masks as well. That alone is scary. People trying to keep themselves safe are inadvertently putting themselves are risk.

I absolutely love the mask idea! I sewed one for Skip that was 4 layer 100% cotton but it's a bit fiddly. I'll have to try this no sew option out!
You can also put a layer of HIPA filter...like what youd use in an air conditioner...and put in the center if the material
