    As far as making sure your string is tight and far out enough. Store one of those arrows with measurements on the arrow. Use that arrow as a last resort. And also learn your body measurements like he said

  • @user-bo8yt4uc8b
    @user-bo8yt4uc8b 8 лет назад +1

    You can mark the correct brace height to one arrow. You can also not loose the correct brace height if you leave the string twisted. I take the loop from the bottom limb and put it to the top limb without adding or removing any twists in my recurve bow, when I'm taking it down.

    i would suggest NOT using field points for hunting. Add a set of broadhead tips to fit into that bow as well =)
    also it is suggested that this particular bow is for emergency when the main weapon (like a better bow or gun) is not operateable .

    Хороший лук для выживания, можно было бы сделать поворотный механизм на рукояти, это бы упростило сборку лука и не надо было перекручивать болты, например по центру выдвинуть, развернуть рукоять и сдвинуть.

    you do know those gerber multi tool pliers are made to be flung open by whipping it like a knife without assisted opening so you can do it 1 handed right? It takes a bit more effort to open them the way you did with one hand, give the other way a try and i bet you'll love it.

      Different but equal pros and cons. Biggest thing the SAS has going for it is it's ability to shoot vanes. I personally think the shelf on the PG should be a little higher. At least once I've turned around and smacked the limb just right and had it collapse on me which freaked me out. That can't happen on the SAS. But the PG is a much faster/ easier setup, I'll grant that much. I still like both, but I don't think one is overwhelmingly superior to the other. Depends on what features are most important.

    love the channel and love the idea of survival bows, but as a self righteous bow snob, I am seriously skeptical about the functionality of this set.
    My issue is mainly with the arrows, mind you. I hate the idea of an arrow with a center connection that weighs over 30 grains and likely causes unpredictable paradox. Does the arrow bend uniformly? can it be cut shorter without effecting the balance? can broad heads fit in the body of the bow, or the quiver for that matter?
    Also, if carry size is an issue, my Win & Win Black Wolf and Hoyt Buffalo both clip apart and fit into 22" and 25" bag rolls respectively, and are both top performing bows.
    If compactness and money are both issues, buy a $125 Sammick Sage that also breaks down to under 21" and jam it into an old stocking. But, I fully understand that this SAS bow is going to win alot of people over for its niche appeal, and I respect that. Just hope it doesn't come up short when someone truly ends up in a survival scenario! 😄 Lord knows even the best tuned recurves require serious patience and skill to hunt with. 🙄

    Interested till I saw the price. Buy a Samick Sage.

    • @vinnyaglioni9697
      @vinnyaglioni9697 7 лет назад

      Samick Sage is just too big and takes up too much space in a bag. Try it, you wont have much space to work with and you have to work around the bow the whole time to get stuff in and out. Not to mention that you still dont have a solution to store arrows. Plus, the Sage's limbs may break if you take a fall with your pack. That's what so great about these survival bow is that they are super compact and tough as a badger.

    • @AKlover
      @AKlover 7 лет назад

      Trineer SA The reality is unless things have really gone to shit and I need to kill a human quietly, I'd use my handgun first. You will not get this city boy out in the woods without a gun, knife, and some sort of fire starter. I see your argument but I don't think it applies to me. All 3 of those things are in my vehicle as well and I'm not in the habit of riding into potentially isolated areas in someone else's vehicle.

    • @TWANGnBANG
      @TWANGnBANG  8 лет назад +2

      I'd be happy with either. The PGU protects the limbs with the riser, and the SAS protects the arrows. The SAS is shorter and draws nicer, but the PGU is way easier to get into action and has an arrow shelf. The SAS can shoot vanes well, but the PGU really needs feathers. It just depends on your priorities.

    • @TWANGnBANG
      @TWANGnBANG  8 лет назад +1

      It's a metal box, so it largely depends on what kind of broadhead and how you insert it in the riser. I'd stick with two-blade heads.

    • @biophysique
      @biophysique 8 лет назад

    • @TWANGnBANG
      @TWANGnBANG  8 лет назад +2

      JCH Nanaya The TOXIC needs way more KE than this generates to get penetration. For a bow like this, anything from the Magnus Stinger to the super fancy Solid Legends would work great. Any head used with a bow like this should be cut-on-contact.

    Your bow arm is terrible keep it stiff and rotate your elbow more and you don't want air on that release. Interesting bow though but there is better takedowns on the market . I just wouldn't trust a arrow for safety that screws together and you can't get a broadhead in the riser....
