Aside from Brave New World I personally feel Bruce’s solo output post 7th son is better overall than Maiden songwriting wise. You’ll never beat the first 7 Maiden albums but from there on -give me Bruce’s solo stuff. I know it’s not a popular opinion -but I think I’m probably right ha ha!

Way more Skunkworks vibes on this album than I expected. Love it
especially in the song "Mistress of Mercy". The verse has this Skunkworks vibe. I even thought that this one of the remade b-sides from that era or something like this.
I don't. Specially because we were told it would be a Chemichal Wedding vibe.. it's very disappointing to expect a Chemical Wedding and receive a skunkwork.

So, I play in a rock band. For the life of me I could never figure out what sort of genre of music I am producing.
Turns out I was so subconsciously influenced by Bruce's solo albums that I am producing songs instinctively similar to his. Not as good. But very similar. So ya. My genre of music is Bruce Rock.
This may be my favorite song on this album. I l get a classic Pink Floyd vibe in the beginning of the song, then that slow, heavy riff comes in and crushes my soul! Well done Bruce and Roy Z. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
