she was just nervous in the game yesterday.
i think she was thrown off when mike put his queen in the wrong spot, makes him look reallly new to chess and when you don't know your opponents rating you kinda change how you play a little, taking more risky moves that might require higher calculation and thought to be played with confidence

No. Nemo is not like the fish. It's Latin for no one, & was used by the sea captain of captain Nemo fame (excellently played by James Mason in the movie). His submarine the Nautilus went to places other U-boats could not reach. And so, I am now referring to this Nemo chess playing cutie as a naughty lass, & trust she won't mind the expression. She seems a good sport, & will flourish against stronger opposition in the years ahead. Go for it!

A French def. pawn formation with the white square bishops exchanged should have been good for black, but surely it is not easy to play against a WGM in blitz w/ French def.

I'm probably a bit thick..... but at 7.33 why does the black castle not take the white castle sitting on G6. I know there is massive threat with the white queen coming down on the H file.... but you can still bring the castle that you could have just moved, back into play......in any case white was in a dominant position anyway.
