Great video girl, I love your personality and tips are awesome. I don't have kids, but a lot of this things apply to a random person - not taking hand me down if you don't love it - this one is special for me :))) You are a great mother, I love how simple you are and how you think about food, things and everything!
Ah you are so sweet Rea! Thank you so much! And thank you for watching even though you don't have kids! Also, motherhood is a crazy journey of giving all of yourself, but yet still maintaining yourself. I'm definitely a work in progress but so appreciate the love and compliment. :) hope you are well! hugs.
Awesome tips! I like it how you are said being outside can replace 50 other toys. That is just so true! Children can get so bored with toys but being outside is so simple yet so fun for them. (:
Before I even got to the end of your video I could tell that you were saved. Although my son is not a toddler anymore hearing this really encouraged me and I really felt at peace with certain things in our life. Thank you so much for speaking into your followers lives and doing all that you have done although this video is a little old. LOL I am a new subscriber now have a blessed life I will continue to support you thank you for all that you are doing and sharing. May your family continue to prosper and be blessed.
Aw thanks for sharing, that means so much to me! That’s definitely what I hope to do through my videos.❤️💕 how old is your son? I’m so glad to have you here and look forward to seeing your around !😊💕💕
These tips are amazing! I totally agree, in my videos you can probably tell me are similar. Minimal toys, we try and get outside or go to local play groups to get “new toy” usage lol
I feel like I need a weekend without the kids around so that I can get rid of all if the old hand me downs and old toys. so many clothes. I need to have a make organization weekend!!
Thank you! I have a 16 months old and im totally relating to your ways of raising your daughter. I'm single and I try to keep the activities simple and in the outdoor. Feeding her has been an issue but she does love eating pieces of fruits. I have a hard time feeding veggies and savory stuff.
Katy C fruit is great! I feel like it's easy to feel like there is always more, but sometimes we've just got to embrace what we've got with them otherwise we'll drive ourselves and them nuts 😜you're a great mama, keep it up!!
Hi :) I could tell that you are Christian just from your language. Super refreshing. Thank you for the positive, encouraging, uplifting and real video. As moms we have so much pressure from society. I wish this video was around when I was a first time mom 8 years ago, it would have saved me a lot of tears. You are so right about keeping it simple it's better for them and also for us. Many blessings
Aw so true! So much unnecessary pressure and we can let roll off of us! Praise God he doesn’t hold us to the standards the world does and that we are so free and equipped in Him to parent. 😊❤️ thank you for the encouragement and blessings to you too!!!😘💕
Yes I'd love to see the capsule wardrobe! You are so full of great advice and tips! I definitely had to start saying no to hand me downs...I hate clutter! lol. xx
I Wasn't going to comment but then you mentioned 5 kids! I have 5 kids and I am almost one week into minimalizing ☺️. This is going to be so good for us! I was literally going crazy because of the stuff! I went way wrong with accepting hand me downs. This is all new to me but I am so excited about it! I also realized that the kids don't really play with their toys. I kept their Lego in the house a couple of dolls and stuffed animals that they love. I experienced so much joy the day I said "that's it, the toys are going!". They were freaked out at first. I hauled out baskets, boxes and trugs of toys. They are in storage in our garage right now. I told the kids that if they can actually think of something they are missing or sad to see go then they can tell me what it is....but they can't look inside the boxes. Guess what! They can't even think of anything 😂.
Wow..I never thought about simplifying food! I def agree with a bunch of playgroups and I have older kids and they need to pick one thing per season otherwise Mama goes cray cray lolol! Love this! Wish I had this in my first years of Mamahood but I'm still learning even in my many years of Mamahood..lololl..great stuff!
Super great tips! I can't wait to be able to get out more. Way too cold and snowy here but yes, going out is so good for all of us! And I agree about the wardrobe. Boys are a bit easier. Most clothes match each other. Haha. I used to have too many clothes for them all but I have downsized them so much.
LovedHappy - I'm in Oregon. We played in the snow the first few times but it's now old snow that is more ice and nasty now. Not fun to play in. And it's been bitter freezing cold too. Finally got a little warmer weather today but it was rainy and slushy out from the ice melting a little.
How much outfits/stuff do you save for future baby? I am stuck here. Do you keep a keepsake? I am having a hard time being minimalist with kids because I save everything for my kids (6year old and 7 month old). Love your videos! Thanks for being open.
+Elina Lopez hi Eliana! Thank you for watching and your comment! :) I'm definitely not an *extreme* in regards to minimalism, just always wanting to be working towards a simpler life and not overwhelmed by clutter, you know?! I personally keep some things (like keepsakes) but get rid of others. I think it's about balance and what really feels right to you and just continuing to move in the 'right' direction. I'm not so much about strict rules or attaining some great ideal of a simple life but just doing my best in the little things like getting rid of stuff as my energy allows! I hope that helps!! I appreciate you, thank you for watching my videos!! Sending love! Kaylyn
When we had daughter we made the decision to first love her in all that we do. We decided that we were going to reinvent the meaning of the word family. We do everything together. Our main priority is our daughter and we put our wants and needs to the side and concentrated on being the best parents we could be and it has been wonderful watching her grow. When she was younger we wouldn't put her toys in her room. We thought that it would promote her to playing in her room which is fine, but i wanted her out with us so we would have a special corner for her toys and we would play with her while watching TV or whatever it was we were doing. You don't get much time with your children so I believe in playing with them and watching them grow. I agree with being outside. We would always spend time outside. Rain, snow and heat, I loved getting home from work and it's pouring outside. I would go inside and say lets go play in the rain and we would have so much fun. I would read to her before bed every night. When I would travel I would bring books with me and then call her at night and read to her over the phone. Listen my wife is the best mom in the world, but I wanted to be the best dad. my goal was to teach her with everything I did was how someday she would expect from someone who may care for her. She is 13 now and is one amazing little girl, She is independent, very smart and God is very much apart o her life. When it comes to food well we did one thing. We always made her try something new. I would say just take one bit and if you don't like it then no big deal. It has work wonderfully. She has such a wide verity of foods that she loves which most 13 year old just want hot dogs, pizza and macaroni and cheese. Last thing Lol. We have raised her our way in which we used one word to describe it. Love, Thank you for the video. Sorry so long. God Bless you and your family
This is all so awesome! You are such a great dad! My dad also made me try so many new and strange foods and I'm so grateful I did! Thank you for sharing all this.
I totally agree with this thank you so much.... I am not the type o fancy my daughter up a whole lot either. I tend to feel bad sometimes that I dont over dress her. But u brightened my day.. I am who I am and do not need my daughter to be raised that she has to be fashionista 24/7:) or my son... I love the capsule wardrobe too..
I've fully embraced minimalism and love it! But my biggest struggle will be to NOT buy things for my kids.... Big stacks of presents for birthdays and Christmas were really nice to see. But then I have to store all of that stuff and they don't play with half of it. I hope to resist that urge this year
These tips are so simple...and SO GOOD! I can always use these reminders. :) I enthusiastically second your tip about toddlers having capsule wardrobes. When I implemented that for our family, it made laundry more enjoyable for me, and it made getting dressed foolproof for my little ones. :)
one of the best things I ever did was get rid of about half of all of my kids clothes. their drawers were STUFFED full. Now each of my kids have about 5 pairs of pants, 5-10 shirts, etc and it makes it sooo much easier.
i love love love finding other minimalist moms! Idk if you label yourself as that lol. I prefer "simple living", but whatever!! I just love that there is a community out there for this! So glad I found you. I actually just added you on instagram lol
as an aunt I give gifts of swim lessons , year passes to the zoo or children's museum or special events for birthdays and Christmas less stuff and more fun
Haha interesting! sounds like he's a good eater! Ellia is more like this too! I feel like when things are combined too there are generally a lot of sauces and what not that can be off-putting too for them
Hi! This is the first video I've seen of yours and I know I'm going to love your channel. We have such a similar mindset. Let the binge watching begin :)

+Ashley Robbin Gerten haha understandable! Personally I always thank whoever and express gratitude for their generosity but it doesn't necessarily mean I will keep it😬 I love saving things that are new or clothes with tags we don't need for gifts too! I'm pregnant with another girl now and got a handful of baby clothes that we just don't have a use for since we saved our first daughter's clothes that I'll be giving to friends and saving for gifts :)
Ashley this is my issue i think when it happens this year i will just say thankyou to them and then buy it off my daughter for like £3 and give the toys away. My parents are really good with requests but my husbands are not and buy stuff my kids dont like so i norm keep it in the house for 6 months then give it away. Or just send an email to your family members saying you really appreciate when you are given gifts but you are running out of space and become over whelmed but vouchers for clothes shops and art or book stores are really helpful and my child would really enjoy choosing a new outfit etc.. or making a donation to an animal shelter in the childs name etc. X
definitely loved #1 lol...me right now. I have a 2 month old almost 3 months and i want her to have everything I see but I know clothing wise they grow so quickly ugh! haha Totally decluttering at the moment as well. Great video! I've subscribed. Starting up my mom and baby videos as well so please do check them out :) Thanks! Looking forward to your next video!
CharmingMommy it's so true that they do grow so fast! Luckily I find after 12 months or so they slow down a bit and you can get more use out of the same outfits. Thank you so much for your love & support! So glad to have you here and happy to support you as well!!💗💗
+K Catfish I actually have done this! You don't get much but I've sent them into thredup because it takes such minimal effort. Donating makes me feel good too though :)

Yes! Say no to hand me downs you don't want. My mom brought a bag of stuff today and I've already gone through and gotten rid of half of it.
Wahoo good job!! It feels so good to say no (thank you ;) ) sometimes!
I am literally OBSESSED with minimalism videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed this:)
Be minimal with those too! :P
Same here! It’s interesting to see everyone’s different takes on minimalism
Awesome tips! I like it how you are said being outside can replace 50 other toys. That is just so true! Children can get so bored with toys but being outside is so simple yet so fun for them. (:
Right! It's so much simpler too in every way! Luckily we live in CA! :P
Yasss!!! Keeping it current is probably my absolute favorite thing to do! Christmas and birthdays we always do a refresher.
It feels so good to clean things out!
Great tips! I have the toughest time saying no to clothes 🤕

Being outside is so educational for kids. Great job starting young with her.
It’s the best!!

So glad this has encouraged you :) it feels so good to donate, sell and clear things out :)

Happy to have found your channel friend 😘
Aw, so glad to have you here 😊 thanks for saying hi!
Haha! My toddler prefers simple food. He won't eat a lot of stuff if it's combined, but if you separate the ingredients, he chows down!
Haha interesting! sounds like he's a good eater! Ellia is more like this too! I feel like when things are combined too there are generally a lot of sauces and what not that can be off-putting too for them
Idk why I’m watching this but for some reason it’s helpful even tho I’m 12
I needed this so much .. thanks love
Fatemeh Barghamadi thanks so much for watching, beautiful!
Hi! This is the first video I've seen of yours and I know I'm going to love your channel. We have such a similar mindset. Let the binge watching begin :)
I need your advice. Should I throw away my son's old books? We have a lot of books that we don't use but I feel bad to throw it away. I have asked around nobody want them. Should I throw or should I not?
So glad I found your channel!!!

9 kids.. By the way I love love ur living room
Apple tini wow you’re amazing! I bet you have so much wisdom to share! And thank you!💖
Yes,please make the toddler wardrobe video:-)
Thanks for your video)
With baby clothes always buy plain white so you can bleach out stains its so much easier and a good way of saving money
I loved your video and it was very helpful. I just want to make one non judgemental suggestion. Please consider donating non stained clothing. I know it may seem petty, but some people rely on resale shops for kids clothing and it is really great to find items that are not stained or damaged. Thanks a bunch and keep up the good work!!!!!!
my12hearts dabney I totally
Get that! I myself buy things for my daughter second hand too. We actually saved most of my daughter's clothes and good thing we did because I'm now 35 weeks pregnant with baby girl #2 😊 a lot of the infant clothes held up great but as she got older almost all of her clothes end up with some stains and signs of wear from food and playing! But I love your perspective to think about those buying and blessing them.💗💗💗💗
Great advice!
Thank you so much Mary, I appreciate you watching!
Yes! Toddler capsule wardrobe.
+Elina Lopez thank you for your feedback!! I still need to film this one!:) xo
It's easy to say no to hand me downs but what about gifts that relatives buy for them? They get very offended if the noisy blinking piece of plastic isn't met with a million thank yous!
+Ashley Robbin Gerten haha understandable! Personally I always thank whoever and express gratitude for their generosity but it doesn't necessarily mean I will keep it😬 I love saving things that are new or clothes with tags we don't need for gifts too! LovedHappy save them, with Tags. Never know if your child will be in the same size as your oldest in the same seasons! (Learned this the hard way)
Ashley this is my issue i think when it happens this year i will just say thankyou to them and then buy it off my daughter for like £3 and give the toys away.
