Awww, thank you!! 😊 My most favourite fan brushes I use are made by AMACO, they are the brown handled ones I use the most frequently and I get them from my local pottery supply shop Tuckers Pottery. Here is the link from AMACO, I use the bigger one and it's worth the money. www.amaco.com/products/brush-series-28?ref=2&taxon_id=398 I'm fortunate that I have a few shops that I either shop in person or order from. I recently purchased the blue handled fan brush from a different pottery supply and I don't really like it as it's VERY stiff, I prefer soft fluffy brushes. I took a look on Amazon and though I have not tried these brushed specifically, these look interesting to me and I have put them in my cart, I will share my feelings once I get a chance to see/feel in person: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004BN7WXA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1JCUC46F9QEFC&psc=1 I'm actually heading over to Tucker's this afternoon and I will shoot a Vlog and see what their merchandise is like. Depending on what part of the world you live in I believe that they would ship to US or have affiliates in the US. I also purchase for Art's supply shops. In Canada Currie's Art and or Desarres are great for brushes, choose natural brush as it just hold more product than a synthetic brush does. I hope this is helpful! and thanks for your continued support!! xo
Fantastic! I was actually thinking about you this morning and wondered if you had posted anything new. Glad to see you again! Honey flux has quickly become one of my favorites.
Hi Miranda nice to hear from you! Honey Flux was sold out everywhere it seemed and I had to keep checking inventory at a few different shops which turned out to be a blessing because I found new sources for my pottery addiction...what are your favourite Honey Flux combos if you don't mind me asking...and any clay that you particularly love paring it with??
@@SarahWaltonPottery Sara, I'm only on my second jar. The first was backordered and I waited for it for what seems like forever. This jar was just sitting on the shop shelf :) Bmix type clays work the best for me. I've tried it on Laguna Speckled Buff and Electric Brown Clays and it just washes out. On it it's own it is a super stable cream color that slightly breaks a light tan. Super Pretty. I just pulled a pot out with Honey Flux outside, Mayco Rootbeer inside and the top 1/3 outside. Delicious. It's like a root beer float. On top of things, works like a light flux, not too runny but gets things moving. I've used it mostly as a solid color since I have been getting more into painting with underglaze on some pieces.
I have been dying all afternoon. I had a LONG class for work, and knew you were releasing this, and had to WAIT to finish the class before I could watch! Love it Girl! Fabulous results. Girl ya need to set up that camera and publish a "Hanging N Glazing!". I am trying to get the Christmas inventory up, and need someone to hang with! Much love and we are so glad to get to see your sweet smile! and Yummy Pots!
Hi Kd! So glad to hear from you!! This time of year is all about production and getting ready for the busy holiday season so i totally feel ya ..Tell me more about the 'Hanging n Glazing" do you mean do a Live? I've thought about doing something like that but didn't know anyone would show up...Tell me more and I will try and do it!
@@SarahWaltonPottery yes a LIVE Hanging N Glazing would be fun. I honestly love playing through your videos, and the videos of a few other potters, just listening to y'all gives me the feeling we are hanging together! LOL we sure miss you when you take a break, praying all is settling down for you.
Hi Gabriella, thank you!! 😊 I often do test tiles however lately, no. I’ve been inpatient and willing to take the risk. I have an idea of how things will move or interact but not always been successful. Hey I’ve even done test tiles and had epic fails when put on the final piece. Ceramics are very rewarding but frustrating too 🤬😤😭 There are so many factors that are involved, who knew. I try to learn from everything and share with everyone.. thanks for your support!! 😊
Hello ! Beautiful work! I always learn a lot from your videos! Do you also share firing schedule in your videos? I haven´t found anything on this particular topic..
Had to come back and watch again to make sure I got this right. I’m going to try it on white clay and see how it goes. I do exactly what you do by applying the glaze unevenly so it crates such a variety of colors and runs!!! Do you ever use kiln wash on your cookies? I apply it pretty thick and it helps to save pots so much!!!
Let me know how it turns out on the white clay! Yes I have used kiln wash on my cookies but not always…I should probably do that in order to save the cookie.🤭
@@SarahWaltonPottery I sure will. Yesterday I slip cast a tallish vase and made the holes so I should be able to get it in my next bisque firing. I also have to order the spectrum glaze.
Thank you!! 🥰 I haven't tried the Spectrum Mirror 1116 so I can't advise...hopefully someone will read the comments and add their insight!🤞🏼Let me know if you figure something out and how you like it...maybe I'll pick it up if you are successful! Cheers!
starting my own studio. I live in Nova Scotia. looking for a good source for clay and pottery materials in Canada. I already have a lot of tools but they came from the US. thanks. love your videos
Hi Laurie! Hope you faired ok thru the hurricane!! Starting a Studio is so rewarding I'm excited for you!! I order from a few different Pottery Supply Shops here in Ontario, I know they all ship but It may be costly shipping clay all the way to NS. The shops I use are Tucker's Pottery in RIchmond Hill ON, Pottery Supply House in Oakville, ON, Amaranth Stoneware are in Kingston ON, and i recently found Great White North Pottery Supply. I've looked at Sounding Stone they are in Manitoba and, one of my subscribers shared Sial in Quebec though I have not ordered from the last two. All of these shops carry different popular clays, Plainman, Laguna, PSH, Tuckers. Hope this helps!
There is a man named Vaughn Smith who is a potter in Nova Scotia. His studio is called West Bell Pottery I believe. He makes a ton of RUclips videos helping people learn all kinds of different pottery techniques. I know he would be so helpful to you. Good luck.
LOVE your videos and I learn a lot from them! Glad to hear you are on the mend from Covid it does take some time. I am not sure if I missed it or not but what clay body did you use? Thank you again for your content I always look forward to watching and learning from you.
OMG Jaclyn!! I can’t believe I didn’t respond to this message!! Sorry!! Thank you for your kind words and support 🥰🥰🥰 I used Plainsman Clay M350 for these luminaries. I really like Plainsman and use a few different ones. Thanks again! 😊
I'm considering it! I just need to figure out how I will add it to my schedule and now knowing that there are people who are interested may light a fire under my butt 🤭
The Honey Flux will cause glazes layered on top to move, But on its own can be unite stable. Also, having thicker (4-5 coats) glaze application will also cause running. Keep heavy glaze layering from the bottom to prevent glaze run off. Hope this helps! 😊
Truly inspirational. Your creativity with glazes is just top notch; Youre gonna be Ingleton-level notoriety before too long.
Wow!! That’s an amazing compliment!! Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰
Excited you had a video put up!!
When you least expect it …I put a video up! Lol! Thanks for being patient with me and an ongoing support!! 😚
Love the luminaries..... perfect holiday decoration... and perfect holiday gifts too!

Love your videos🥰I've been using my kids craft pipe cleaners to clean glaze out of holes after I finish glazing. It works so amazing and quick.
