St. Lucia was my first all inclusive. It was pretty good. Some things were hit or miss but overall loved the free beverages and food. Looks like you guys had a great time and i am sure that made it better for having a youngling. You probably need all the help you can get! 😅 go rivers!
We have always wanted to go to St. Lucia! It’s high on our list. I think the overall consensus with all-inclusive stays is that there is some “hit and miss,” but y’all are like us and try to focus on all the positives for the places you travel to. And that’s the way we like it, too 😊.
Thanks for the video! I have a couple of questions: my kids LOVE to boogie board- did the resort provide boogie boards or surf boards that you can rent? Also, I heard there can be bad rip currents around that area- if its a red flag, do they still let you go into the water? Or do they prevent you from going in the water? Thanks!
We are so happy you enjoyed it! We love the Sunset Royal Resort and are anxiously awaiting our return trip. When we were there the resort recreation department had boogie boards to rent, but we aren’t sure about surf boards. Regarding the waves and current, this beach did not have lifeguards. So we could see the red flag but there is no one there to patrol the beach or stop anyone from entering the water even if it’s dangerous. The waves were super big when we were there so we never actually got in the water, but we were also traveling with an infant so that obviously played a part in that decision 😀. Their concierge department was really helpful during our stay so you can also contact the resort prior to your stay to see if they can provide any additional details. We hope this helps! We are so happy you enjoyed it! There was plenty of room to run on the beach. We saw the same people jogging every morning (they were much more motivated than us). If nothing has changed since our stay you shouldn’t have any trouble jogging a mile or 2. Hope that helps!

That resort was really nicer and newer. It had a few restaurants, an amazing pool, and Greek island vibes. We actually want to stay there next time to try it. Our trip was in early August, so at the tail end of summer break, and we never experienced any significant wait times at any of the restaurants or bars. All the lines moved really efficiently with minimal wait times. Our understanding is that the Sunset Royal offers different levels of all inclusive benefits. For example, the most expensive tier includes free recreation activities in addition to food and drink. We had the food and drink package only and there were no caps or up-charges for any drink or foods during our stay. We were able to get everything we wanted. Hope that helps!

@@TheMithilated we booked it directly from the property. However, if you book through Expedia you can always contact the resort ahead of time to make sure you have exactly what you need. I know it’s not ideal but if the package offered through Expedia isn’t what you want the resort would probably be able to upgrade. But hopefully the Expedia offer is what you need!
