For anyone who ever has beat block, here’s a helpful tip. Can’t think of a beat when you sit in front of your equipment, just remix one of your old beats. Change up the voices or play around with the tempo. Let your own work inspire you
This is so dope! Amazing beat. I'm listening to the entire video especially because of how sick this beat is. Great work! I have this exact same keyboard and plan to use it with Studio One 5 as a plug in. Man, I'm excited!
This is the first video I've seen where somebody is using Komplete Kontrol like this. I just figured it be possible but wasn't sure. I have a Maschine Studio & wanted the KK because you never know where inspiration may strike. It could be from the keys or the drum pads. You sold me.
Another great one bro! Keep up the good work ur hard work paying off big time,I remember when u had 12,000 subs now u at 17,000 in a span of a year! Congrats I'm happy with my 50 lol
I had been looking at people making music to see what the work flow is like because that is really what matters unless you are okay with using a keyboard and mouse most of the time.
Hey DDS i havent been on here checkin your vids in a minute but i know you probably figured out how to duplicate scenes using komplete kontrol well i have the s49 same thing right anyway i do it manually within the software
Hey brother, does this beautiful keyboard come with the machine software? In other words: will I need FL Studio, Ableton Live, some other DAW or can I get started making beats with only the keyboards included software just like I would if I'd buy the machine mk3 instead?
Man, great video! Just a question: is it possible to use the light guide, scale and chord mode with an instrument that doesn't belong to the Native Instruments world? I use Ableton as daw and I need to know if must buy the Novation SL MK3 or this Komplete Kontrol Mk2 for those features with every kind of intruments.
Yes you can. When you buy the keyboard it comes with the Komplete Kontrol plugin that you can use to open other instruments and get the Komplete Kontrol features. Example, I use Komplete Kontrol with nexus and I can use chords, scale etc.
Yea that broke my heart that it doesn’t allow that. The work flow would be way more crazy but I guess it’s going to have the mk3 to compliment each other
That's crazy u don't know how to play piano,I was wondering how am I gonna be a good product with out knowing how to play piano,I look up to u even more now👏💣💫💥
Yep, now you can. Instead of just having one drum sound pitched up and down the keys you can now press the "Key Mode" button and load drum kits on the keys.
Can you do sample slicing on the KK keyboard with Maschine software? Just curious, since I’m thinking of getting the new Mikro and use that with the keyboard to help with prepping the samples.
What’s up DDS I’ve had this controller for almost 2 years now and I still can’t get it to make a beat on it only using maschine. I don’t have the actual maschine hardware. Is that the problem? Do you have a course on how to do this? I would like not to have to buy the maschine hardware but still use the functionality in my S 49 like you are doing right now. If you do have a course please let me know or if you can do a video showing how to do this more in depth I would greatly appreciate it fam
I need some help man I came across your page earlier and I bought the KOMPLETE KONTROLLER MK2 and I'm having a hard time trying to load in my plug ins into logic
Great vid but terrible fuzz on your mic, kinda like a plumber with leaky taps. Maybe it's supposed to be some kind of vinyl filter but it aint working bro.
See how the music is playing while you search for the next sound how did you get it to do that. How do you record the next sound into the music already playing
@@DDS825 You just saved me from boxing up my MK3 and A61 Keyboard. Thanks. One last question...when I buy expansion kits do they download to the MK3 or directly to my laptop storage ?
JEFFMAN90 thanks I appreciate it... now which is more efficient between logic n studio one... I’m really looking into studio one I’m just starting production just using GarageBand on a new Mac as we speak just giving myself a little bit of experience before I upgrade
It's not that hard to play a piano or a keyboard, I can't no read notes but I do play the piano. It took me one year to learn it at home, and I play by feel and by ear
For anyone who ever has beat block, here’s a helpful tip. Can’t think of a beat when you sit in front of your equipment, just remix one of your old beats. Change up the voices or play around with the tempo. Let your own work inspire you
Man I had the MK2 for about a month before I discovered the scales mode, I was over here studying music theory and shit. Lol
It changed the game didn’t it? Lol
DDS825
Oh definitley!
Still good to know music theory. Makes recording faster imo

I love my MK2, the lights get me every time. Cool video man
A good video mane. Just getting into the Maschine workflow myself
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid! Would be cool to have an overhead camera angle in future videos to see better what you’re exactly doing in the menus etc.
+Jaakko Harlas I’m thinking about investing in a GoPro for this!
thats dope king Zalute....

I had been looking at people making music to see what the work flow is like because that is really what matters unless you are okay with using a keyboard and mouse most of the time.
There are so many different workflows out there,
cool vid bro, what plugin are you using to make the bass slap so hard love that preset
nice...thank you
Thanks for watching!
Hey DDS i havent been on here checkin your vids in a minute but i know you probably figured out how to duplicate scenes using komplete kontrol well i have the s49 same thing right anyway i do it manually within the software
I’m going to have to try it and see. I’m not sure off of the top of my head. I usually just use Maschine for that.
Dope beat DDS.
How did you like making a beat only using the Komplete Kontrol MK2? I'm asking because you didn't say anything at the end of the video.
+notsogood I’m not going to lie, I really enjoyed it and will be doing it more often!
What daw are you using on your screen. I’m having trouble. When I change the bpm the sound gets slower
Hey brother, does this beautiful keyboard come with the machine software?
In other words: will I need FL Studio, Ableton Live, some other DAW or can I get started making beats with only the keyboards included software just like I would if I'd buy the machine mk3 instead?
DDS, thanks for the video. Which program are you recording on?
Maschine.

@@DDS825 thank you so much, my friend!
No problem!
Very beautiful video bro 👍👏👋
+DJ MaTUrE thank you
Can u record from a vinyl and chop samples across the kontrol?
You would have to chop them via the software and then you can play them on the keyboard
Yea that broke my heart that it doesn’t allow that. The work flow would be way more crazy but I guess it’s going to have the mk3 to compliment each other
I heard that feature is coming soon. If so, that make it the closest thing to a modern day asr-10 workflow wise.
That's crazy u don't know how to play piano,I was wondering how am I gonna be a good product with out knowing how to play piano,I look up to u even more now👏💣💫💥
I'm not trained to play properly. I know how to make it sound good lol
Awesome
If you want to make complex melodies or chord progressions you will need to learn atleast the basics of the piano... it makes it much more easy
DDS825 factsss
Do you arrange the finish product in maschine or do you use a separate software?
+jaimon olds Maschine!
DDS825 Lit! Thanks bro
Hi! Good vids! I can use the nexus in the komplete kontrol? Or only native instruments vsts? Thanks!
Yes you can use nexus
@@DDS825 thanks! And in the software maschine not?
I need this beat mane!!! Memphis TN reppin all day
You want it? Lol
Yes sir. Man i just started clicking your links. You been teaching me alot. I'm building my studio up now. I'm use to the on setup. Keep it coming
Hey are you able to access more than one drum sound at a time on the keys? I got the first K Keyboard and it don’t do that
Yep, now you can. Instead of just having one drum sound pitched up and down the keys you can now press the "Key Mode" button and load drum kits on the keys.
+notsogood maaaaaan you know all about the board 😂 You should do my new features video. Lol
that feature is also available on the MK1. Just get the latest version of Maschine
Can you use the magnifying glass to look for sounds or do you have to use the computer and so forth
+Jose Cervantes no you don’t have to use the computer. As long as your vsts are NKS ready!
Can you do sample slicing on the KK keyboard with Maschine software? Just curious, since I’m thinking of getting the new Mikro and use that with the keyboard to help with prepping the samples.
I don’t think so. But you can do it in the software.
Yo DDS does the mk3 play well with the Mac mini? or is it time to upgrade? I've been asking but you haven't replied
+Don Rice yes it works well with the Mac Mini
DDS825 Thanks bro! Keep making that heat
+Don Rice no problem! I will!
Some mo HEAT!!!🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man!
Why can't I find 1 video with Komplete mk2 with Maschine Studio??
Probably because the MK3 came out along side the mk3, but you can definitely use the two together.
does this keyboard has an abillity to chop samples like maschine and so on?
+Pavin Kirill unfortunately it doesn’t.
Can I make beats using this and the launchpad pro?

You can use it like Maschine in the Maschine software. What do you use to make beats?
dope bro!!!!
+Iconik Media Group thank you!
I need some help man I came across your page earlier and I bought the KOMPLETE KONTROLLER MK2 and I'm having a hard time trying to load in my plug ins into logic
Well I can't even load them on komplete kontroller
+Nate G there are some pretty good tutorials on here about logic. Idk how to explain it in words.
+Nate G open komplete kontrol vst
Pretty dope man :)
Appreciate it!
Great vid but terrible fuzz on your mic, kinda like a plumber with leaky taps. Maybe it's supposed to be some kind of vinyl filter but it aint working bro.
+Monsta Munch thanks. The mic is having issues with interference. I hear it on other people’s video with the same mic
So glad someone else heard it. Thought it was my headphones.
Does the bass you are using comes with the keyboard?
No, It was an 808 sample.
@@DDS825 got it. Thank you much for taking the time to reply brother. God bless.

+Tha Wave thanks! 🙌🏽
See how the music is playing while you search for the next sound how did you get it to do that. How do you record the next sound into the music already playing
I put the sound in a new group and record it.
@@DDS825 that's my issue. Don't know how to do that
@@tobaccoroadentertainment5280 Create a new group, and then drag the sound you want to scene, then hit shift + record.

Sounds good for someone that doesn’t play the piano 😂😂 u dope lol
Thank you
I have the mk3 is the keyboard worth getting?
+v frazier to me it is, if you like having a keyboard
Yo which software is better maschine or Logic
+Rashod Brown depends on what you are looking to do
Rashod Brown Logic is a full fledged DAW while Maschine is a groovebox.
JEFFMAN90 thanks I appreciate it... now which is more efficient between logic n studio one... I’m really looking into studio one I’m just starting production just using GarageBand on a new Mac as we speak just giving myself a little bit of experience before I upgrade
See how you just played that melody. How do you get it on the screen
You're talking about how I recorded it?
@@DDS825 Yes. When you search for drums and load them I see you tapping on the pads and when you find that rhythm you record it...how is that done
You search for the drums, load the drum group or samples into your current group and start playing around with them, and then record it.
It's not that hard to play a piano or a keyboard, I can't no read notes but I do play the piano.
It took me one year to learn it at home, and I play by feel and by ear

is this logic?
No, Maschine!
Dude you could of at least mentioned each instrument you where using as you went along .......
Good beat. Nice video! Think the piano is out of key. Thumbs up #100 #Salute
Thanks man
Truly painful
You don't know how to play piano ? Get out of here !!
+Meekismwisdom 😂 are you surprised?
I beg to differ . You’re good . You can make melodies and play chords , you money 💯😂
+Meekismwisdom I meant “Properly” lol
