I’m so glad you are feeling better and on the way to getting back to normal, I’m loving your canvas the more you do the more I love it, I can feel a purchase comming on lol I can so relate to the conversation about how perfect my house or rooms should look, I can get quite down if my house isn’t gleaming and neat and tidy, I drive myself crazy over it sometimes lol so less house and more me this year I think. Like you I don’t think I’m going to finish my unicorn girl canvas in time, but I want to carry on and finish it before I kit up my next one, which is going to be I’ve got a secret from DAC, thank you for a great wip and chat, take care 🩷🇬🇧
Lexi Hurray! I just kitted up Threads of the Universe which came back in stock after cyber monday and I snagged it quickly because it's absolutely amazing! The colors, the whole picture is so lovely and since I knit, of course I was immediately drawn to it. The new square DPs by DAC are amazing! They fit so tight and look so great. This kit also has the perforated paper which I think I like. I could go either way but truly it's super simple and is great for new people!

I do hope that you give yourself more grace and always know that the only "perfect" you need in your life or your house is what is "perfect" just for you and your hubby. I did that comparison thing for so many years and now that I am older ...well, life's just too short and I just want everything to be what my hubby and I enjoy the most. It might not appeal to everyone, but who care...it makes us happy. I just finished up a couple of canvases for the "Bird" event as well as the #wrapupawip24 event and am planning on kitting up my Beach Comber's Bounty one next. It's rather large and I just want to take my time working on it as it's in honor of my late Mom and I will keep it on the go to work on slowly along with other canvases. I am also kitting up "The Dragon's Door" to work on for Elisa's Lunar New Year Event that starts in February. Stay warm, my friend!
glad you're doing better and listening to your body and slowing down. your house should be a home, lived in. my mom's house was not comfortable cause it was a home. you touched something she was right behind you whipping the fingerprints off, towels on sofa and you felt very uncomfortable. I love a nice house. clean and lived in. I am going to kit up "Crows" from DAC. hope you have a wonderful weekend. hugs
Hi Lexi! I am the same way when it comes to decorating / redoing my house. At our last house, we lived there over 10 years and redid the entrance way and redid the floor in the kitchen. I think we had 1 picture on a way in the entire place. In our new house, we have been here almost 3 years and we changed the front door. I get so overwhelmed by it all. It's like I have an idea, but have no way to make it come to fruition. I am working on "Kitty Cat" for #KetnerDiamondArt2024 and am loving every second of it. I think I am going to end up buying "The Great Big Owl". I love seeing it come together. My next project may be knitting a scarf. I bought a kid's beginner kit just to try. That is something I plan on doing in 2024, trying new-to-me things.
Glad you are doing better. Eye sight is such a precious thing and so hard to loose after having it. Prayers for all those who are having problems that they might have favorable outcomes. Not kitting up. Working through the 15 or more I have kitted up. Completed one large and almost have another completed already in this year. Go me! Enjoyed the WIP and chat. Hi, Lexi! 👋 My husband & I went to FL on Christmas Eve day to visit my twin & family. We just got back to a wintery wonderland here in Iowa! And temps that are like 1 degree! 🥶❄️ yikes. I took paint gems, DAC calendar, and some monthly gnomes on acrylic bases that will hang to work on. ❤ I love your DP you’re working on. I did the otters like you did too. I think I have this one in my stash. I need to check. Fun colors that you won’t get bored with. A cheery painting. How do you like the square little frames that block off sections compared to washi tape? I’ve never tried them. Glad to hear you’re on the mend after your surgery. Take care of you. Hi Peggy! Oof! I bet it was no fun coming back to that winter weather after being in Florida! The paint gems and calendar are such great project ideas for travelling! I do like the little frames to section off the canvas because i can never get washi tape to stick very well! I made them with vinyl on my Cricut machine and they've been working pretty well. I hope you're doing well! 💖

I strongly recommend Francesca's! I am working on one right now, and it is amazing quality. I think they are the most sparkling drills of any kit I have worked on to date. The next painting I am going to kit up is Bluebird Song by Chuck Pinson. But it is going to be a while as I just kitted up three paintings yesterday.
I absolutely cannot wait to get my hand on a Francesca canvas!!! I have heard so many good things and the artwork is amazing. Oh my gosh 3 new kit ups, that is amazing!!! 🌟🌟🌟
I would like to kit up Northern Lights By: Hannah Lynn because I ordered enhancements for that painting from dp with sparklers can’t wait to use them. And happy to hear that you are doing better Lexi.😊

I just kitted up and started on Moonlight in the Garden from Craftibly. So far, I'm loving it. It gives me summer vibes, so I'm enjoying that.
