I don’t see why. Don’t believe any conspiracies: he was found hanging in a police cell (over charges of DUI), was declared braindead and was taken off life support after his dad got to say goodbye. He was only 46.
Too Cool’s match at Judgement Day 2000 against Kurt Angle and Edge and Christian is a great example of how over they were at the time. The crowd was insane.
People say Royal Rumble 2000 display how over Too Cool were at that time. The venue was in Madison Square Garden and they got to do their dance routine in the middle of the Royal Rumble in front of a New York crowd, because apparently New Yorkers have no filter.
Awesome intro! I always thought Brian Lawler had so much potential. Crazy character, and I remember him being really good in the ring in his Light Heavyweight days

What a shame. The guy may not have made the greatest of heights in the wrestling business. But his acting and performing more than made up for it. He was great to watch in the TNA days. RIP Brian.

For awhile yeah 😂 but mostly it was a home for the wwe talent that had contact problems with WWE or other problems like Kurt Angle I remember he was the biggest at one point and then Booker T and the Dudley Boyz, it was needed but they kinda ran it into the ground because they kept putting WWE talent of the stars they already had there form some reason and the ring change as well
RIP Brian Lawler It's crazy that all of the wacky stuff with Brian Lawler was born solely out of his interactions with his storyline gf. He had a heart attack, he beat up "gay guys", his emotions changed from happy goofball to crybaby to deranged violent psycho in an instant... This was a really fun TNA run
All I had to do was watch the first 15 seconds and I'm good to go. Like seriously what an oddly wholesome moment. Its always cool when wrestlers acknowledge their presence with youtubers. Like Alex Wright on Wrestling Bio's Reliving The War series.
One of the biggest examples of "falling from grace". Son of legendary Jerry "The King" Lawler, and part of faction "Too Cool".... Fell on hard times after being fired from WWE. He got into trouble, was arrested, and police notified his dad to give him the choice of bailing his son(Grandmaster Sexay) out. Jerry Lawler said no, and Brian Lawler committed suicide in prison. R.I.P.
Watching the Attitude Era back, it's so weird listening to King refer to his son as Grand Master Sexay! Cheering him on as he danced. But then JR would intentionally hint at something. And if you didn't know that Grand Master was Lawlers son it would be hard to pick up on it but if you know you can detect when King goes a little quiet. Made me sad knowing that there was tension between them.
I actually think i would like a tag team with Lawler and Buff Bagwell. Can you imagine both of them flying from the top rope. Lawler and Bagwell could've been great!
TNA started at a bad time I think, I for one was already burned out with wrestling especially after the merge turned out to be a failure. I missed seeing the true 3 brands of the 1990s
Early TNA stuff was hilarious as anyone with slight name value was a main eventer. Very understandable for the time but very few of them stayed because of either disagreements or because of their own issues which is why they were released from the WWE to begin with.
Early TNA was a blast, you never knew what the hell was going to happen, and the young ROH group that they started with put on some awesome matches. They got my $10 for their PPV every week. haha
I was not aware of the theories behind Brian’s passing. It seems like it was ruled as suicide but there are several inconsistencies.
Police killed him.

Literally nothing adds up. It's Epstein-level
He also died on the same day as Nikolai Volkoff & Brickhouse Brown. Wrestlers always seem to die in three's
this was actually a pretty tragic story.

Fair play to Jeff taking the piss out of himself. Say what you like about him but il always be thankful for TNA
He did so much and is still around and looking good... a true legend
Honestly, I started warming to the guy after GFW failed. Feels like he's a lot more humble nowadays.
double JJ is based all he cares about is money and miles and the more mature you get the easier he is to respect
A WILD SLAPNUTZ APPEARS is canon now. Holy shit

Back in 98 when they lost Shawn and Heart you'd think they'd have been in a lot of trouble and instead, the great attitude ERA begun.
