- In today's video, I'll be opening and reviewing (5) 2023-24 Panini Donruss Optic Football Blaster Boxes. These boxes sell for $30-65 a box. Each box contains 6 4-card pack. Expect to find 3 Purple Shock Rated Rookies per box. Look for a variety of prizm parallels in Holo, Fire, Purple Shock, and the rare Blue Glitter. Chase after the case hit, ultra-rare Downtown, Superbowl Downtown, International Downtown, Mythical, Rookie Kings, and Blazers inserts. Also look for memorabilia relic cards in Gold and Gold Vinyl parallels(#'d/10). Autographs can also be found in Signature Series Holo. Chase after top rookies such as Bryce Young, Anthong Richardson, CJ Stroud, Bijan Robinson, Sam Laporta, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Will Levis.

🃏🃏🃏🃏 for FUN FACTOR: If there's a better chase in retail than the Downtown, I'm all ears. Add in the other two variations of the Downtown, plus two other case hit inserts, and you have a box keeping you on the edge of your seat. Even if you don't hit that bomb, there's still a guarenteed three Rated Rookie parallels.
🃏🃏🃏🃏for VALUE: If you're paying retail prices, all systems go. The high ceiling that numerous case hits provide, make Optic blasters a good value proposition. If you're paying secondary market prices, it becomes a dicey buy.
🃏🃏🃏 for DESIGN: Card design is Donruss. I'm not a super fan of the tire tread/DNA side art. But that's just me. Format design is solid, again mainly headed by the case hit inserts and the Holo Rated Rookies. The lack of numbered cards is a mark against. I have to mention quality control here. The cards are rarely centered. I suspect getting a gem mint is going to a tough one.

Great pulls! It’s hard to complain about a case hit and all of the big Rookie QBs. The optic silver holo may be my favorite parallel in all of the hobby. I wonder what the pull rate is, but my guess would be Downtowns are only in every other case at best.
Honestly, if all I got was the AR holo I'd be more than happy. I've seen case opening in years past with no DTs, so your right st best every other. Now begins the search for Megas. I did hear(can't remember where) that Panini hadn't even printed them yet.

Great vid! I had a crazy experience today. Went to the Dallas card show and I decided I would cave in and spend $60 on a Optic 2023 Blaster Box. The dude had at least 20 and told me to pick one. I ended up pulling a Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl Downtown out of my first Blaster Box of Optic ever. Last card on eBay sold for 2k. I’m getting it graded today and hope it gems. You also got yourself a new sub🔥

I walked into target last week and it was fully stocked and I should’ve bought all of them, but I only bought six and the second card I pulled was a pink CJ Stroud but now I’m looking back at it. I should’ve just bought them all like everyone else does, but I would’ve opened them all not resold them.
I probably would have scooped them all up to. Next week will be week 4. I wonder if they'll be on shelves again.

I live in the panhandle. It’s actually insane how hard it is to find boxes. Everything gets bought up or back door by the workers. You’d be lucky to find one box.

To make things worse resellers will always sell because of the whatnot crowd taking advantage of people on team breaks chasing stroud and ar15 hits lol

Congrats on the AR holo! Like you; I had no luck in the wild. I..."was forced"....to buy on the flipper-market, but I got in at a "decent price" (comparatively speaking). Do we have any word on Megas....?? How soon,...where, etc.? I know they've been loaded on WM for _LITERALLY_ .... 2 weeks or longer!!
I've heard it mentioned by a couple RUclipsrs and people in the hobby that Panini is hasn't even printed the Megas yet. They've clearly been delayed and I wouldn't be shocked if they end up cancelled.
@@huxbux Funny you should mention that. While I hadn't heard that 'till now, I _DID_ ponder the thought. With "ulterior motives", being the modus! I figured; perhaps with " *Wemby-mania* ,....Panini figured to allocate all of their...."printing efforts".....in getting NBA products out, ASAP, and (more or less) allocate all of the "leftover, time",...to NFL/MLB/etc. Granted, Stroud (and AR & Young to a much lesser degree) are...."chases", but if we're being _completely honest_ ; from a card manufacturing/product selling perspective,...even, _combined_ ,...they don't hold a candle to what Wemby is doing to the card collecting world! 🤞🤞🤞🤞 that *Optic NBA* (blasters/megas/retail boxes) actually release on time (about 2 weeks from now, if I'm not mistaken). I plan on ripping a _BOATLOAD_ of that, and there's *no chance* that Optic can be as cruel to me as Select [retail] has been!!

I felt like I did well. Between the AR holo, Young Purple, and Reed RK, I got back the cost of the boxes. I was happy.

I'd never pay resell prices either. The only conceivable way is if I planned on holding it for 10 years hoping Stroud becomes the next great QB.
