Simon is a genius. How many times has he done this. Saving many from failure.
I use to hate Simon then I seen his human side... :)
I love the fact that Simon has taken a huge turn around himself from the beginning of these shows and has turned his expertise into something that nurtures people and offers them a second chance.

Guys stop hating on Simon, he is a professional and that is his job. He realized the first song was not meant for her, and it wasn't. The second song was much much better, and Simon made her the best singer possible.

i love when Simon doesn't let someone go on with a song that their voice isn't suited for. to me it shows that he sees talent in them and wants to see them at their full potential.

...and completely set up. hoe did he know she had another song lined up if not. I know several people who have been involved and it is all very much choreographed. some are told to deliberately mess up as it makes good tv. They know when they will be interrupted.
That's why Simon does what he does, yes the person has multiple songs but to be stopped and told that's not your personality and can read that person is unique and he could see her power and her beauty is pretty cool . Good on her to adapt on the spot and shine with that song.
PsychoYeoX I've seen a change that happens when you become a parent. You learn to be more tolerant and easier on other people around you. My cousin was one hard and bitter person with no tolerance for anyone until she had her first child. The same thing happened as it happened to Simon.

the full emotional level of her voice came out with Simon making her sing the 2nd song she has such a BEAUTIFUL voice i want to hear more of her!
You can see she is so proud of her mom. And her mom has a beautiful voice. This child did a great job signing mom up. You can see she loves her mom so much she did all this just because she loves her mom. Those tears she had was tears of love. I know them tears I have five kiddos myself.

Setting aside initial fears, she took total control of that song and gave it her own very special powers of performance. Her voice was crystal to the ears and truly hope she takes this experience to the next level of a performing career. Truly beautiful.
