i think the problem is her lack of support. the song isn't too high, she just can't properly support each note so it sounds breathy and strained. she was 18/19 during the fearless era. she wasn't a bad singer and had better performances than this but between her debut - 2010 she could be quite inconsistent. her voice was so young and lacked proper training, her breath control was weak especially for how much she did on stage. speak now era came with big improvements. the speak now tour was much better vocally, the difference is quite impressive. since speak now she's continued to let her voice shine. she's not one of those typical big voiced vocalists but she doesn't need to be. she has alot of skill and her songs are surprisingly difficult to sing. her off moments during red and 1989 can be put aside because we know she was heavily struggling with an eating disorder. reputation was where that deeper tone fully came in and she's been at her best since. folklore and evermore really let her best assets have the spotlight aswell.
