To elaborate on iymyion's take. Losing your strategic coach the weekend of finals when you have one day to prepare for a somewhat unexpected opponent is a big deal. Im sure fly was expecting c9 despite the trash talk. Another contributing factor would be the underperformance of c9. Yet another contributing factor would be how young the league is now especially at mid and adc. By time spent as a pro it would be fbi then tactical as most experienced ads then beserker. For mids its jensen followed by palafox. TL won and certainly earned it but i think its hard to exclude this factors when you are comparing their championship to others in the past. I dont know that they are the worst to win but is a reasonable conversation but at the end of the day they still won. It doesnt make them worse but there is a conversation to be had about not winning in a stadium event. That is the asterix besides abbedages acheivements.
@@moonfish817 Dude couldn't even argue for his own "hot take". Just trash no wonder he got flamed. Not trying to be a dick but you get what you ask for.
You know whats funny? people make fun of APA being a one-trick but when a single champion (Azir) gets ban, half of the LCS teams can't play their usual game. So who's the real one-trick here?
@@CarlosCarlangas Do hear how much of a loser excuse is that? If I hear that from a pro-player, I will lose all my respect for them. Azir was banned at the start of playoffs, all teams had time to figure out the next best pick, if you can't adjust in the LCS, I doubt you will do better internationally.
@@mjacflyffYes it's true that everyone else had the same time to deal with the meta, but you have to admit that the meta (one in which Azir is banned) is hugely beneficial to TL. Azir is a staple in midlane because he can do a bit of everything. APA has shown that he hasn't mastered Azir to the same degree as other mids, which means that TL likely would have had to spend a ban on Azir in every game. If they are forced to ban Azir, that opens up other bans. For example, FQ does better when Bwipo can be the engage like his Renekton. If TL has to spend a ban on Azir and Ori in games 3 and 4, other picks are open to FQ like maybe Renekton or Renata. Yes TL played well and deserved to win, but a global Azir ban is absolutely draft-altering and shouldn't be discounted as a factor to their success in playoffs.
Strange to believe anyone would even think FQ would try to change the roster/make changes. Players may have underperformed but that doesnt mean there'd be internal quarrels regarding the future of the team staying together. Bwipo has always been one to give insight and be able help rookies, on the main roster or academy freely (it being one of his requirements for joining, which he said on his stream). FQ showed some of the best Teamfighting in the league a match prior so I think that take is blowing the sentiment that the team probably has way out of proportion. You can only hope theyll learn alot from msi (TL too) and be back stronger in summer
The hosts do a pretty good job of never acknowledging that FLY lost their strategic coach right before finals weekend, even though it should be a massive factor.

Now don't get me wrong this c9 team is ass and shouldn't go, but the fact that it failed is another nail in the coffin to NA
Breaking up C9 would be a mistake. The meta was horrible for Berserker (no hyper carry’s) for Blaber (tank Junglers) and for Jojo (no assassins are strong)
C9 being awful will lead to NA players being poached by LCK has to be one of the stupidest takes I've ever heard on this show. I'm pretty sure half of the LCK challenger teams would give the top tier LCS teams a run. There's no need for them to try to get Jojo or Blabber when they could just sign some rank 1 player who plays out of an internet cafe in Busan
