It is common to say something "feels like a fever dream". But I feel like Garden of BanBan really feel like one of those colorful dreams where the plot makes total sense while you're sleeping but when you wake up and if you do remember it, when you explain it, it just sounds like a rambling of unconnected events happening after each other. In fact, if these games are just the creator trying to explain the plot of some colorful dream/s he had, that would explain a lot...

Crazy enough I think I just need one more Banban to confirm the theme of the series, abusers. The two-faced Bittergiggle is an abuser in career. He gives the classic, I couldn't control myself, but as we see in the end here, the INSTANT he finds his goal will be met he leaves you and Banban behind, even after saying how sorry he was the whole time. He uses his smile and laughter to get close just to sabotage you in the end and further his own interests. The Queen and Sheriff are abusers of power, using their authority to force others to obey them via threats of containment or violence while never really providing the services they proclaim they are there for. Even Banban is still doing it, as we see him turn Nabnab into a giant beast with the phrase "But what are friend for if not for times like these?" He uses his "friendship" as a weapon while he runs away to save himself. The only reason he probably sacrifices himself is cause he knows it won't kill him and you've succeeded wherever he's failed, so it's best to leave it to you and swoop in to steal the reward, just like Dadadoo says.
Not sure how we can fit abuse into Stinger Flynn, but don't forget about how everything is always someone else's fault with that guy. 😮💨 Each time you meet him, it's just a running complaint of how everyone else has screwed up his plans through no fault of his own.

Idk, I searched up if these games are a parody and I found a Reddit page who asked the same thing. Someone replied to it and they said that the devs were blocking anybody or deleting any comments that asked if the game was just for shits and giggles. I gotta look at it again and see if anything changed.
While I'm not 100% sure, to me, it seems like the people who made this game are just 2 genuinely passionate game devs who aren't super experienced/ good at it yet. Their random silly game suddenly got popular out nowhere and now they're trying to ride the hype wave as quickly as possible rather than taking the time to consider improvements/ making a better game... Basically, they're the equivalent of 2 little kid artists just spamming nonsense doodles because they seem to be popular rather than taking time to draw better...
Garten of Banban is like a fever dream of when you and your friends used to play with action figures. "Now I have my super laser!!" "But I'm laser proof!" "well my super friend can use his super vision to slam you into the ground!" "But I'm super-proof!"
This series has captivated me in such an unexpected way. It honestly feels like someone created this game based on a story told by a kid sibling with the wild plot and the jumping between how seriously it takes itself. I want to see how weird it gets and what the deal is with big spooky face man. Thanks for putting yourself through this pain for us lol
Bittergiggle threw himself back down because he wanted to be around those things in the darkness. They laughed at his joke earlier, remember? They were the only people who ever did, so he couldn't stand to not be around them.
Jack, some of the mascots were made using human dna. (Its explained very badly in the notes across multiple chapters) banban was made using the dna of a researcher named Uthman, and banbaleena was made with dna from 'mrs. Mason' The mascots believe that they are those humans, but they aren't. They just have the memories of them due to being created with donor dna

@@AnaOhDarling my best guess is that dadadoo is the lead 'naughty one' Bittergiggle mentions the surgeon is supposed to be guarding the scepter shortly before dadadoo shows up to try and steal it. Plus, BanBan tells us to go find the surgeon while dadadoo and his 'army' have the characters cornered at the end level elevator

What I hate about Stinger Flynn is that he blames you for everything that’s going on and that you shouldn’t have ever been there yet he’s also aware that you’re there looking for your lost child, it’s like the game forgot the original goal the main character had to begin with and it now just sending them on a wild goose chase.
Stinger Flynn wanted the protagonist gone and warned them to leave and when they didn't do that he tried to kill them which ended up getting him captured which also soiled his plan. That's why he blames the protagonist for what happened after the third chapter
First thing he says to you is "Give up on the child it's not worth it" so his reaction at this point is very much in line with what he has done so far.

He wanted the player to be a bad parent and just say 'welp. I can always make another!' like no dude that's not how it works. I get that he's mentally not stable as well and I can understand why he's desperate to get out but his plan is literally for him and him only. It doesn't benefit anyone else so why should it come to fruition?
Nah. Flynn tried to convince the MC to leave and not look for their child. He had promised not to hurt the child, but that the MC should just leave. Of course, no one would listen to that. He's just butthurt his plan was ruined and blaming the MC.

I like thinking Jack's character is being just a major wet blanket throughout this ordeal. Cursing at the characters. Cursing at the drone. Cursing about having to redo a puzzle while being mauled and mangled by monsters. Sherriff Toadster and Bambaleena standing there listening to the faint irish yells echoing from little speck of light in the big dark room as Jack yells at the drone hitting Bittergiggle's massive head and at Bittergiggle for being in the damn way..
I’m seeing a lot of confusion with the lore with most of the notes being skipped, which happen to explain (albeit indirectly) what is going on. Here’s a summary of what is known with the information given from the notes in game. Warning, this is a lot of text, but I tried to be thorough with the information. -The kindergarten is not the original purpose of the facility and is a merely a front. The main purpose is for the research of Givanium and the creation of Givanium based beings. The children that were enrolled in the kindergarten may have been observed for the purpose of finding a ‘suitable genome donor’, as stated by notes sent between two researchers who were picking their ‘favorites’ and then would compare their lists to reduce their choices. These researchers may have had a separate project from the rest of the facility as it is implied that they could only communicate between notes in order to keep from being seen as suspicious. -The Ball Pit collapsing on ‘Bring a Friend Day’, which was supposed to be a presentation for the created Givanium mascots to others, is believed to have triggered something that caused the mascots (and mutants) to be able to roam freely on all floors, likely attacking anyone who happened to not be victims of the collapse itself. Stinger Flynn found a group of survivors (likely including the Player’s child, Claire, and the human/real Ms. Mason) and took them somewhere for a purpose that is yet to be revealed. Their status is unknown as of now. -Banban and Banbaleena believe they are Dr. Uthman and Ms. (Weverly?) Mason respectively. They have the memories of their human counterparts due to them being their genome donors and some property of the Givanium mixture they received. They reacted poorly to meeting their genome donors and the researchers decided to refrain from having donors meet their recipients for safety reasons. Stinger Flynn is an exception to this, he realized what he was and knows he is not his genome donor. Queen Bouncelia’s genome donor was potentially her caretaker for a time as per a note found in this game (I believe it was in a locker unlocked with the a secret solution to the chair puzzle). -The surgeon (Syringeon), may have found a way to create new Givanium based beings (the two small blue critters potentially being some of them). Based on notes found in this game specifically, it appears he informed other cases (9, 14, and 17 with him being case 4) and they may have created more cases (referred to as subcases based upon who made them). Some notes refer to having had separated the surgeon from the other cases mentioned due to the belief that they may have been planning a revolt that the researchers discovered. The remaining cases were confronted and given a chance to stop their plans, or potentially be destroyed/killed. Case 14 is Queen Bouncelia, and either of the two remaining cases may have been Sir Dadadoo (personal theory is conflict between him and others, possibly on reference to the discovery plans, may have caused him to been trapped in Queen Bouncelia’s pouch which she may or may not have been forced to do). -Two researchers, believed to be Dr. Uthman (and potentially Ms. Mason), likely knew of the state of the ball pit before it collapsed. They were planning on escaping after it collapsed (the ticket for Spain that the departing time was about half past 3 and the note stating ‘distraction at 1’ may hint at this). However, the ball pit collapsed earlier than expected, leaving the fate of these two unknown. -The people who created the kindergarten and the research facility are likely the ones who the cases were intended to be presented to. With the implied possibility of the kindergarten’s students being of interest for some genome related project, it is possible the kindergarten’s founders may have something to do with it. -In the third game, after defeating Chamataki and Tamataki (two headed turtle/chameleon), there is a paper that can be found with a burnt depiction of a mural containing several mascots including the Mataki twins, Bittergiggle, and a few others. It also includes a creature that is just a face and a long neck (I believe game files referred to it a Zolphius, not sure if it was ever mentioned in the actual game). It is depicted with eyes and a mouth, but it believed its monster self is the ominous eyeless, faceless teal being that appears in the distance in Stinger Flynn’s dreams and a few times in person. This may be where, or in this case, who Stinger Flynn was bringing the children to see based upon a drawing found near one of the light switches in 6 (forgot which one though). -Chapter 5 is believed to be a prequel/side-quel based upon images from the steam page for the game. Specifically, a screenshot of the whiteboard in the classroom on the first floor (where the game appears to take place) having different writing on it referring to ‘Bring a Friend Day’ versus ‘the end is here’ which is written on it in the first game. The story was continued from 4 to 6 as a result. If you read all this, I hope it clears up some of the confusion regarding the lore. I paraphrased a lot from the Banban wiki which likely has more information there. This game did add a lot more questions then answers, so even I’m beginning to get lost. I know a lot of people don’t like this game and see it as a cash grab (which I’m not inherently disagreeing with, but what games aren’t cash grabs these days, including triple A games that have paid DLC that should have been part of the game in the first place and having to pay a crazy price for what was essentially in complete game), but this game and a small part of the fandom have become a silly hyper-fixation of mine and I can’t really take it too seriously. It’s far from perfect, but it’s got a storyline that has me hooked and characters who are just so goofy. Thank you for reading! I can try to answer questions with my knowledge of the lore (and the trusty Banban wiki lol), but I can’t say I know everything, nor that everything I know is correct. But hopefully I can at least make some things less confusing for someone ☺️

Exactly! The plot of a game is important and when you skip half of it of course no one is gonna be interested. For me personally I couldn't get into games like poppy playtime because it felt so impersonal. All these games have characters that existed before the character arrives but this is one of the only games where it feels like it. They have personalities and backstories for something other than scaring and being creepy, they don't exist for the plot, the plot exists because they effect it in ways more than being the side kick of someone who just showed up out of the blue. Its become a bit of a fixation for me to and I wish people would give it the same energy as other games
@@caytlyndickey9116 I do have to say that many times in games, notes seem to be optional/additional to the storyline rather than being as heavily used for backstory as they are in this series. Especially since many of them can be hard to find. I ended up missing a secret room in my playthrough of 6 because it required a lot of backtracking by the time my brain was tired from most of the puzzles. I knew where to get the keycard, but I couldn’t find the energy to go get it. I ended up just watching someone else find it at that point. Because the storyline isn’t as clear, especially with the notes providing key information, I can get why so many get confused if they play the game without seeking other all the additional information. Garten of Banban 6 definitely took things a whole different direction than what a lot of people were probably thinking it would go. I will admit that games like Poppy Playtime are more well polished visually and have the gameplay more refined. It also didn’t hook me quite as much as Garten of Banban has story/lore wise and I would agree that for characters seeming to have been around before the player, it didn’t feel exactly like they had been active much prior to the player arriving. It can be a struggle to find the right balance between good gameplay/game content versus good lore/world building in order to create a more balanced game. Other people prioritize hidden story/lore less in games and may not be as interested in finding all the secrets a game has to offer so I totally get why many don’t find this series as enjoyable. It’s more a matter of game-style preference I suppose, but I do wish this series could be given more a chance. I’ve personally been stuck in hyperfixation heck for this series for about 2 months straight now and I binged all the content I could about it without getting into the weird fake games or fan animations (personally not as big of a fan of those).

"So Stankface attacks you...Okay, so now Stankface is your friend and helps you fight Boogerboy...Okay, now Boogerboy is your friend, but Stankface doesn't like him so your friends fight...Okay, now they're all your friends, and you have to fight..."

Jack screaming that he loved Bittergiggle and Banban as they were running away made me smile. This game may be a complete and utter joke, but I'm growing fond of some of these characters. "Bird up!" being a taunt for the opila bird baby also made me giggle, i suppose the devs are aware of how stupid we think it is.
The first chapter and second chapter MAYBE the third chapter were pretty good to me, opola bird freaked me put and the base story was good, now i feel like every episode that comes out is a whole new game with new characters being added randomly. BUT i love watching jack play and i will continue to watch them haha

The first version of this game had so much potential; it was actually quite uncanny and creepy, and the bird mechanics were genuinely unnerving. I feel as though with a bit more time spent on development, and a little more thought put into the plot, it could have been a really decent game.
All I understand about the story so far is that you are a mom looking for your child in what I assume to be a school building which has anywhere between 8-15 role model characters that have come to life somehow and want to either kill you or help you escape. I was able to follow the story through the end of Chapter 2 but after that it lost me.

I think the story is going like this: this substance that’s called “givantium” was discovered in the area of the kindergarten. Government probably got involved and the research into it had to be a secret, so the research facility was designed as a kindergarten and functioned as such while doing the research (explains why all the names are silly, so kindergarteners could pronounce them), while doing these experiments Sir Dadadoo, GB, QB, and others were planning a revolt against the humans and were given the choice of death or compliance (this part was explained in a note), the others chose compliance and sealed away SD and the other naughty ones in the QBs pouch of course betraying him, so now that SD is out he wants revenge on those who locked him away AND the humans. A lot is left to be explained like the collapse of the facility, Zolphius (the giant face that’s always there),what’s down below, and captain fiddles
I watch people play this game because it just makes me laugh so hard. Jack is absolutely going through torture at this point but it brings a happy smile to my face 😂
So from what I’m understanding the story to be is basically you’re a mom trying to navigate through what you thought was a nice little kindergarten trying to find her son. But she finds that it’s actually a science facility that was playing with chems, consciousness transfers and what not to make interactive mascots. If the plans were to have been correctly done the facility would’ve been able to profit by making these mascots for other places, but as you can see it didn’t go so well and now you the mom have to survive the facility and its various man eating experiments, get your kid and or any other you can grab and find a way to get out. Kinda reminds me of the portal series tbh but without the portals and bots lol. Stinger Flynn reminds me of Glados lmao. Definitely poppy playtime as well. But the story also talks about the mascots consciousnesses as well, kinda getting to know and getting some background on who the scientists are/were, kinda like how we get to know Cave Johnson in portal 2 only this time instead of speaker pre-recordings we’re actually talking and working with them but in their mascot form. It’s a concept that’s being used quite a bit here lately but I like it. Banban and Poppy Playtime do it well so far.

One of my favourite series on your channel is finally back! 🙌💚 I really like all the different mini-games / puzzles they come up with, it makes it exciting everytime and it doesn't get repetitive. I really wanna look up some lore finally, to actually understand what is happening, because I'm definitely intrigued. 😄 Also, the VA for Bittergiggle is absolutely CRUSHING IT! They were amazing! 👏
I'm starting to feel like this game was made by a business major. It's just purely developed out of spite for its community and purely banking off of the fact that it got a game theory, video or whatever. But every time a new chapter comes out, it's just purposefully made to be longer than the last without adding any actual enjoyable content
With all its wackiness and insanity I am absolutely in love with this game. I am not even a big fan of mascot horror and I hate the drone mechanics but somehow it is AMAZING in its uncanny plastic personality.

It is common to say something "feels like a fever dream".
But I feel like Garden of BanBan really feel like one of those colorful dreams where the plot makes total sense while you're sleeping but when you wake up and if you do remember it, when you explain it, it just sounds like a rambling of unconnected events happening after each other.
In fact, if these games are just the creator trying to explain the plot of some colorful dream/s he had, that would explain a lot...

Crazy enough I think I just need one more Banban to confirm the theme of the series, abusers. The two-faced Bittergiggle is an abuser in career. He gives the classic, I couldn't control myself, but as we see in the end here, the INSTANT he finds his goal will be met he leaves you and Banban behind, even after saying how sorry he was the whole time. He uses his smile and laughter to get close just to sabotage you in the end and further his own interests. The Queen and Sheriff are abusers of power, using their authority to force others to obey them via threats of containment or violence while never really providing the services they proclaim they are there for. Even Banban is still doing it, as we see him turn Nabnab into a giant beast with the phrase "But what are friend for if not for times like these?" He uses his "friendship" as a weapon while he runs away to save himself. The only reason he probably sacrifices himself is cause he knows it won't kill him and you've succeeded wherever he's failed, so it's best to leave it to you and swoop in to steal the reward, just like Dadadoo says.

Not sure how we can fit abuse into Stinger Flynn, but don't forget about how everything is always someone else's fault with that guy. 😮💨 Each time you meet him, it's just a running complaint of how everyone else has screwed up his plans through no fault of his own.

Idk, I searched up if these games are a parody and I found a Reddit page who asked the same thing. Someone replied to it and they said that the devs were blocking anybody or deleting any comments that asked if the game was just for shits and giggles. I gotta look at it again and see if anything changed.
While I'm not 100% sure, to me, it seems like the people who made this game are just 2 genuinely passionate game devs who aren't super experienced/ good at it yet. Their random silly game suddenly got popular out nowhere and now they're trying to ride the hype wave as quickly as possible rather than taking the time to consider improvements/ making a better game...

Bittergiggle threw himself back down because he wanted to be around those things in the darkness. They laughed at his joke earlier, remember? They were the only people who ever did, so he couldn't stand to not be around them.
Jack, some of the mascots were made using human dna. (Its explained very badly in the notes across multiple chapters) banban was made using the dna of a researcher named Uthman, and banbaleena was made with dna from 'mrs. Mason'
The mascots believe that they are those humans, but they aren't. They just have the memories of them due to being created with donor dna

What I hate about Stinger Flynn is that he blames you for everything that’s going on and that you shouldn’t have ever been there yet he’s also aware that you’re there looking for your lost child, it’s like the game forgot the original goal the main character had to begin with and it now just sending them on a wild goose chase.
Stinger Flynn wanted the protagonist gone and warned them to leave and when they didn't do that he tried to kill them which ended up getting him captured which also soiled his plan. That's why he blames the protagonist for what happened after the third chapter
First thing he says to you is "Give up on the child it's not worth it" so his reaction at this point is very much in line with what he has done so far.

Nah. Flynn tried to convince the MC to leave and not look for their child. He had promised not to hurt the child, but that the MC should just leave. Of course, no one would listen to that. He's just butthurt his plan was ruined and blaming the MC.

I’m seeing a lot of confusion with the lore with most of the notes being skipped, which happen to explain (albeit indirectly) what is going on. Here’s a summary of what is known with the information given from the notes in game.
Warning, this is a lot of text, but I tried to be thorough with the information.
-The kindergarten is not the original purpose of the facility and is a merely a front. The main purpose is for the research of Givanium and the creation of Givanium based beings. The children that were enrolled in the kindergarten may have been observed for the purpose of finding a ‘suitable genome donor’, as stated by notes sent between two researchers who were picking their ‘favorites’ and then would compare their lists to reduce their choices. These researchers may have had a separate project from the rest of the facility as it is implied that they could only communicate between notes in order to keep from being seen as suspicious.
-The Ball Pit collapsing on ‘Bring a Friend Day’, which was supposed to be a presentation for the created Givanium mascots to others, is believed to have triggered something that caused the mascots (and mutants) to be able to roam freely on all floors, likely attacking anyone who happened to not be victims of the collapse itself. Stinger Flynn found a group of survivors (likely including the Player’s child, Claire, and the human/real Ms. Mason) and took them somewhere for a purpose that is yet to be revealed. Their status is unknown as of now.
-Banban and Banbaleena believe they are Dr. Uthman and Ms. (Weverly?) Mason respectively. They have the memories of their human counterparts due to them being their genome donors and some property of the Givanium mixture they received. They reacted poorly to meeting their genome donors and the researchers decided to refrain from having donors meet their recipients for safety reasons. Stinger Flynn is an exception to this, he realized what he was and knows he is not his genome donor. Queen Bouncelia’s genome donor was potentially her caretaker for a time as per a note found in this game (I believe it was in a locker unlocked with the a secret solution to the chair puzzle).
-The surgeon (Syringeon), may have found a way to create new Givanium based beings (the two small blue critters potentially being some of them). Based on notes found in this game specifically, it appears he informed other cases (9, 14, and 17 with him being case 4) and they may have created more cases (referred to as subcases based upon who made them). Some notes refer to having had separated the surgeon from the other cases mentioned due to the belief that they may have been planning a revolt that the researchers discovered. The remaining cases were confronted and given a chance to stop their plans, or potentially be destroyed/killed. Case 14 is Queen Bouncelia, and either of the two remaining cases may have been Sir Dadadoo (personal theory is conflict between him and others, possibly on reference to the discovery plans, may have caused him to been trapped in Queen Bouncelia’s pouch which she may or may not have been forced to do).
-Two researchers, believed to be Dr. Uthman (and potentially Ms. Mason), likely knew of the state of the ball pit before it collapsed. They were planning on escaping after it collapsed (the ticket for Spain that the departing time was about half past 3 and the note stating ‘distraction at 1’ may hint at this). However, the ball pit collapsed earlier than expected, leaving the fate of these two unknown.
-The people who created the kindergarten and the research facility are likely the ones who the cases were intended to be presented to. With the implied possibility of the kindergarten’s students being of interest for some genome related project, it is possible the kindergarten’s founders may have something to do with it.
-In the third game, after defeating Chamataki and Tamataki (two headed turtle/chameleon), there is a paper that can be found with a burnt depiction of a mural containing several mascots including the Mataki twins, Bittergiggle, and a few others. It also includes a creature that is just a face and a long neck (I believe game files referred to it a Zolphius, not sure if it was ever mentioned in the actual game). It is depicted with eyes and a mouth, but it believed its monster self is the ominous eyeless, faceless teal being that appears in the distance in Stinger Flynn’s dreams and a few times in person. This may be where, or in this case, who Stinger Flynn was bringing the children to see based upon a drawing found near one of the light switches in 6 (forgot which one though).
-Chapter 5 is believed to be a prequel/side-quel based upon images from the steam page for the game. Specifically, a screenshot of the whiteboard in the classroom on the first floor (where the game appears to take place) having different writing on it referring to ‘Bring a Friend Day’ versus ‘the end is here’ which is written on it in the first game. The story was continued from 4 to 6 as a result.
If you read all this, I hope it clears up some of the confusion regarding the lore. I paraphrased a lot from the Banban wiki which likely has more information there. This game did add a lot more questions then answers, so even I’m beginning to get lost.
I know a lot of people don’t like this game and see it as a cash grab (which I’m not inherently disagreeing with, but what games aren’t cash grabs these days, including triple A games that have paid DLC that should have been part of the game in the first place and having to pay a crazy price for what was essentially in complete game), but this game and a small part of the fandom have become a silly hyper-fixation of mine and I can’t really take it too seriously. It’s far from perfect, but it’s got a storyline that has me hooked and characters who are just so goofy.
Thank you for reading! I can try to answer questions with my knowledge of the lore (and the trusty Banban wiki lol), but I can’t say I know everything, nor that everything I know is correct. But hopefully I can at least make some things less confusing for someone ☺️

Exactly! The plot of a game is important and when you skip half of it of course no one is gonna be interested. For me personally I couldn't get into games like poppy playtime because it felt so impersonal. All these games have characters that existed before the character arrives but this is one of the only games where it feels like it. They have personalities and backstories for something other than scaring and being creepy, they don't exist for the plot, the plot exists because they effect it in ways more than being the side kick of someone who just showed up out of the blue. Its become a bit of a fixation for me to and I wish people would give it the same energy as other games
@@caytlyndickey9116 I do have to say that many times in games, notes seem to be optional/additional to the storyline rather than being as heavily used for backstory as they are in this series. Especially since many of them can be hard to find. I ended up missing a secret room in my playthrough of 6 because it required a lot of backtracking by the time my brain was tired from most of the puzzles. I knew where to get the keycard, but I couldn’t find the energy to go get it. I ended up just watching someone else find it at that point. Because the storyline isn’t as clear, especially with the notes providing key information, I can get why so many get confused if they play the game without seeking other all the additional information. Garten of Banban 6 definitely took things a whole different direction than what a lot of people were probably thinking it would go.
I will admit that games like Poppy Playtime are more well polished visually and have the gameplay more refined. It also didn’t hook me quite as much as Garten of Banban has story/lore wise and I would agree that for characters seeming to have been around before the player, it didn’t feel exactly like they had been active much prior to the player arriving. It can be a struggle to find the right balance between good gameplay/game content versus good lore/world building in order to create a more balanced game. Other people prioritize hidden story/lore less in games and may not be as interested in finding all the secrets a game has to offer so I totally get why many don’t find this series as enjoyable. It’s more a matter of game-style preference I suppose, but I do wish this series could be given more a chance.
I’ve personally been stuck in hyperfixation heck for this series for about 2 months straight now and I binged all the content I could about it without getting into the weird fake games or fan animations (personally not as big of a fan of those).

"Bird up!" being a taunt for the opila bird baby also made me giggle, i suppose the devs are aware of how stupid we think it is.
The first chapter and second chapter MAYBE the third chapter were pretty good to me, opola bird freaked me put and the base story was good, now i feel like every episode that comes out is a whole new game with new characters being added randomly.
BUT i love watching jack play and i will continue to watch them haha

Garten of Banban is legit a fever dream and i forget the plot everytime a new chapter is released but im here for it. It has its scary moments and I think its hilarious mostly because of how awkward the line delivery is

The first version of this game had so much potential; it was actually quite uncanny and creepy, and the bird mechanics were genuinely unnerving. I feel as though with a bit more time spent on development, and a little more thought put into the plot, it could have been a really decent game.
but alas it really did end up as a bottom of the barrel low quality cash grab

all i know about the story is you're a parent looking for their lost child (children?) and apparently violently hallucinating while doing so
Okay, the story may be weird, but it also doesn't help that Jack seems to have developed dementia since last episode.
All I understand about the story so far is that you are a mom looking for your child in what I assume to be a school building which has anywhere between 8-15 role model characters that have come to life somehow and want to either kill you or help you escape. I was able to follow the story through the end of Chapter 2 but after that it lost me.
Wait is it a school building? I get the feeling this is one of those games that’s either just gonna have a lore dump at the very end to explain it all or be left open for major interpretation 💀

I think the story is going like this: this substance that’s called “givantium” was discovered in the area of the kindergarten. Government probably got involved and the research into it had to be a secret, so the research facility was designed as a kindergarten and functioned as such while doing the research (explains why all the names are silly, so kindergarteners could pronounce them), while doing these experiments Sir Dadadoo, GB, QB, and others were planning a revolt against the humans and were given the choice of death or compliance (this part was explained in a note), the others chose compliance and sealed away SD and the other naughty ones in the QBs pouch of course betraying him, so now that SD is out he wants revenge on those who locked him away AND the humans. A lot is left to be explained like the collapse of the facility, Zolphius (the giant face that’s always there),what’s down below, and captain fiddles
I watch people play this game because it just makes me laugh so hard. Jack is absolutely going through torture at this point but it brings a happy smile to my face 😂
So from what I’m understanding the story to be is basically you’re a mom trying to navigate through what you thought was a nice little kindergarten trying to find her son. But she finds that it’s actually a science facility that was playing with chems, consciousness transfers and what not to make interactive mascots. If the plans were to have been correctly done the facility would’ve been able to profit by making these mascots for other places, but as you can see it didn’t go so well and now you the mom have to survive the facility and its various man eating experiments, get your kid and or any other you can grab and find a way to get out. Kinda reminds me of the portal series tbh but without the portals and bots lol. Stinger Flynn reminds me of Glados lmao. Definitely poppy playtime as well. But the story also talks about the mascots consciousnesses as well, kinda getting to know and getting some background on who the scientists are/were, kinda like how we get to know Cave Johnson in portal 2 only this time instead of speaker pre-recordings we’re actually talking and working with them but in their mascot form. It’s a concept that’s being used quite a bit here lately but I like it. Banban and Poppy Playtime do it well so far.
Comparing stinger flynn to GlaDOS is an insult to portal.
This game is an absolute acid trip, but I keep wanting more from it lol. It's like a train wreck; I need to know what happens !! It just gets weirder and weirder and I love it.

My favorite thing about these games definitely has to be Banban voice actor, he's not even trying, since game one, every time he speaks I audibly laugh at how much he sounds like he does not want to be there, just let that poor man go home already, please haha

I'm starting to feel like this game was made by a business major. It's just purely developed out of spite for its community and purely banking off of the fact that it got a game theory, video or whatever. But every time a new chapter comes out, it's just purposefully made to be longer than the last without adding any actual enjoyable content

With all its wackiness and insanity I am absolutely in love with this game. I am not even a big fan of mascot horror and I hate the drone mechanics but somehow it is AMAZING in its uncanny plastic personality.
