Honestly Belly is totally not worth it. She didn't grow as much as Conrad by the end of the series that's for sure but I am glad they are there for each orher in the end

Conrad's biggest problem is his extremely poor communication skills - he had a real shot at getting Belly back in season 2 BUT he just has such a hard time getting his true feelings out. SMH
rewatching both seasons I actually think Jere is not ‘a safer choice’, he’s been hooking around, jealous, manipulative and insecure, so no wonder he’s going to cheat (I haven’t read the books). then Conrad is just misunderstood, being all broody and moody deep down he’s a better brother and partner, calm and wiser. Belly needs to grow up and realize that, also redeem herself for Conrad. he deserves justice and a happy ending. I’m really secure that’s what’s going to happen just like his whole fanbase is and that’s why we’re not as loud but patiently waiting for season 3 😊
If u read the third book.....for sure u will be team confish..... Because there is a infinity amount of difference between jere and con..... even if they were not brothers I will choose con....Because from cooking the simple chicken or the steak nd veggies or even taking care of brkfast the cousins house pipeline buying flower vase to flower taking care of jere and his eff friends....I just love his character nd those minute efforts....and on the other hand jere always put himself first he has no deep feelings for the house their main base or for family or even their father all he is upto going cabo entertaining his frat brother parting that's it....he is not totally mature nd for sure not ready for marriage at 19....nd he just left belly on her own for their wedding nd don't put any effort .....he just told his father to take care of their marriage....never helped belly for a single time..... can't even bother to talk with belly s mother twice...its conorad who manages everything behind the scenes....they have their ups and down for sure but they have chemistry understanding.....jere is the 3rd person here even at their wedding day his choice of words.....he is so jealous nd insecure about himself...... I don't hate him but I don't like him also.... everyone knows about belly s love interest from the beginning so leave the girl alone nd go find someone like mara ur 1st gf or lace who u have hooked up with casually infront of your frat brothers or I don't care who the eff is.....just leave ur brother and his love interest.....there a unwritten rule u can't even look at ur best friend's love interest....nd Conrad is ur blood related brother.....leave them alone....
The characters are more developed in the show than the book. It doesn't follow the book 100%. Season 3 I'm assuming will be the same, so no one really knows what surprises await.

And the nature of everyone's feelings or who developed them first is irrelevant, it's about who keeps their word which is Jere, Conrad says things then takes them back. Being bound to your past and never allowed to grow/heal isn't romantic it's sad. Within Belly's infatuation for Conrad in the first place their relationship has no solid foundation unlike with Jere who actually knows Belly and is her best friend. The whole hopeless romantic first love trope is so played out and toxic. For once healthy love and friendship deserve a chance.
