I can't believe this went out 10 years ago. I agree with others here. A very original gem of a series that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I stopped watching Gorman when the quality went down and he got more political and started slagging off Brexiters but that's another matter.
Oddly enough, I do verify in my head whether a given year is a leap year (provided it's the right period and an even number to begin with) by thinking about whether there were the Olympic games in that year :)
I wondered why they started with season 2, and now after watching seaons 2 - 5 I am assuming it's a "gorsperiment" to find out if we'd be willing to watch the first season out of order.
Maybe. There was also the theory that Dave the Gorman didn't own the rights to season 1 because of the way it was funded and was instead owned by Dave the channel. Using the revenue from season 1, Dave the Gorman bought the rights to seasons 2-5. Maybe uploading season 1 now doesn't completely disprove the theory as Dave the Gorman, using the ad revenue generated by uploading seasons 2-5, was able to buy the rights to season 1.
Dave the Channel agreed to him begining to upload episodes that they no longer made available via their streaming service & for some reason they started with making episodes from series two new t available. As simple as that. There is now quite a bit of cross over of episodes available via RUclips and Dave, the Channels, streaming service, I can only assume they just don't mind. The channel has also left it open for him to return to doing more MLIG, he stopped for the current time due to how demanding on his time it is.
He said on Twitter that all the other seasons were stored digitally (and thus could be posted easily), but season one wasn't, so they had to digitize it first (which I assume would cost time and money).
05:20 We had February 29th this year, and then put off the Olympics until next year! @@hannahk1306 The IOC have rescheduled the Olympic Games to start on the 21st of July 2021, so therefore this is an Olympic year, so this according to my theory is the year that has the leap day in it.
