    What's insane about the whole "Carson Beck was out" narrative, is that ND is in position to compete for a national title, despite losing so many players to injury:
    - During the spring, RB GiBran Payne tore his ACL and was lost for the season. He was expect to be the 3rd down back.
    - During fall camp, DT Gabe Rubio fractured his foot and would missed the first half of the season.
    - During fall camp, starting LT Charles Jagusah was lost for the rest of the regular season with a torn pec.
    - Starting WR Jordan Faison suffered a high ankle sprain early against A&M and missed several weeks, only to re-injure it against Louisville. He eventually returned a few weeks later.
    - Prior to NIU, starting DE Josh Burnham would suffer an ankle injury and miss the next month.
    - Starting Center Ashton Craig tore his ACL against Purdue and missed the rest of the season.
    - Starting DE Jordan Botelho tore his Patella Tendon against Purdue and missed the rest of the season.
    - Starting RG Billy Schrauth suffered a high ankle sprain and missed 5 weeks against Purdue.
    - Starting DE Boubacar Traore tore his ACL against Louisville and missed the rest of the season.
    - Prior to Louisville, CB Jaden Mickey announced he was leaving the team to reserve his final year of eligibility
    - Prior to Stanford, DT Jason Onye announced he was leaving the team for personal reasons, and hasn't returned.
    - Starting CB Benjamin Morrison suffered a hip injury against Stanford and missed the rest of the season.
    - Starting DT Howard Cross suffered an ankle injury against FSU and missed the next 5 weeks.
    - Starting DT Rylie Mills suffered a knee injury against Indiana and was lost for the rest of the season.
    - Backup TE Cooper Flanagan suffered a foot injury against Georgia and was lost for the rest of the season.
    That's to include that starting RB Jeremiyah Love is dealing with a knee injury and has been limited for weeks now. And starting LB Kyngstonn Villiamu-Asa has been limited with a knee injury. I'm also fairly certain that Riley Leonard has been beat to hell all season.
    It's flat out insane.

    When I look at Notre Dame as a college football fan, I’m struck by the similarities of them and the Ohio State football team that go the ball rolling under Jim Tressell. It is not pretty football, but it is damn effective. Heck, I would go with Michigan of last year. Not pretty, but you know they weren’t going to beat themselves. Defensive football with an offensive line that is considered a weapon is pretty darn awesome to me.

    Maybe a video on comparing whether or not a first round bye does more harm than good because of teams getting rusty as shown in this years playoffs with every first round bye losing. And then would you personally want to stick to a 12 team playoff with auto bids or do an 8 team with no auto bids or maybe another format?
    Keep up the great videos!

    Passing game may not be that exciting, but Love and Price have had HUGE runs as well as Leonard being a threat to run give the offense an element that most teams don't have. Special teams have made game changing plays and the defense has been awesome despite many injuries. I have not found watching them boring at all this season.

    • @ryansmith290
      @ryansmith290 15 дней назад +1

      Why would ND joining a conference make them interesting? I think it limits who they play every year. For example, if they join the Big Ten, they will have majority of boring matchups from the likes of Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, and etc . If they join SEC, playing Mississippi State and Missouri would be boring
      As an ND fan, my favorite reason for them remaining independent is so they can schedule diverse teams Coast to coast. They play a mix of schoola from ACC (minimum 5), SEC, Big Ten and others
      For example next year they open at Miami, then play A&M, Purdue, Arkansas, Boise State, USC. Being independent allows them to schedule interesting more home and home series w/ unique schools

    • @dongzilla1979
      @dongzilla1979 15 дней назад

      To highlight further, NIU lost rushing LB Gumbs to Florida in 2023 and Gumbs played a ton at Florida this year. This portal season (because we have minimal NIL money) we lost a good BACKUP DT to Texas Tech and a situational pass rusher to SEC Miss State as well. Our starting safety was lost to SEC Missouri. But yeah, NIU sucks ☕️
