The leapfrog tactics with the archers was great.
Thank you!
If you build the Manor you get free Retenue. The Retenue with your other military units, Archers and Spearmen you should be able to wipe any bandits off the map with ease.
Iv seen people get two full stacks of archers and send them to bandit camps throughout the map.. they are very easy to wipeout as the archers are op. This also gets you a tonn of wealth both reginal and personal that you can spend on your retinue..
You should definitely focus on building your Manor, you are missing out on the strongest military units you can have, the Retinue, and customize that do not count against your population. Also the Manor gives you 2 free families to work the manor and tax house for you, but you can't move them anywhere else. Plus you can tax the city and make a steady income. The Manor does so much and you are missing out on it. Plus, since you already have bows, the people can man the towers if someone attacks the city. Please build the Manor.
Side note: You can claim territory without influence by sending your military into foreign lands and kill all bandit camps, if there are any. If there are none, your army will begin to claim the territory.
ah damn i didn't know you could claim territory that way - thank you!
@@blablubb4553 That's a bug that will be fixed on launch. you need to take other territories and build those to get it higher.
I was looking forward to watch the battle and then this mean cliffhanger, lol.
The city is coming together nicely. Unlike other players (not talking about Manor Lords) you're actually paying attention and learn from your mistakes. Your gameplay is not only entertaining but also educational and always a pleasure to watch!
Thank you my next play series will be far better. I’m sure I’ll make more mistakes but it’s the natural evolution. And I’m at an advantage in that everyone calls out mistakes and offers insights which allows me to master the game faster.
Also, check the work radius of your farm house. But also build your asap, you dont need to wait for all the materials to build it all at once.. and also, keep an eye on your influence so you can claim more regions..
Looking forward to the testing.
If you go down the mining tech tree you can get an unlimited supply from mines with high reserves.
not sure if you noticed it but on logging and replanting of trees you can adjust the working area, this would allow you to replant a larger area every year and keep u from having to micro manage your loggers so much
I opted to move it to a new area that passively does everything at a larger scale in the next vid
Recpact from Iraq love your videos ❤
AMAZINGNES!!!
It's not just four individuals working there; it's four families. Since each family consists of three members, I believe you only need to assign three families to farming, depending on the size of the field, and two families to other industries.
Don't put any stock in making mistakes, it's how we learn. We're all learning this game together. I'm all for pre-planned builds, but I'm far opposing organic builds like this, it has a certain charm to it. I too, am a fan of the Diamond concept. #TheGreatDiamondCityOfGrovar
wait for my eye of eye of sauron design i'm working on a lets play guide series that i've restarted 7 times today... lmao
@@TacticatGaming That sounds like it's gonna be insane. Looking forward to it. I'm still not sold on the UI of this game in the sense that it doesn't intuitively show gains/production. I'm sure that will be addressed in future patches as it gets close to 1.0. Bravery needs his data.
@@BraveryMix84 Yeah that's a super drag for sure and makes any kind of testing difficult to be certain on.
Using bows and storage can't you measure what a single house produces and stores during like an hour verses a double house? I think that would be a good test, of course it would have to be in a game where you aren't using bows. Can you make bows in the peaceful version? I can see a lot of detailed testing being useful on all of the production chains.
Bigger gardens do in fact give more veggies. To a certain point.
Legend of total war made ridiculously long plots and upgraded to veg gardens. They only managed to plant them halfway up. I think it depends on how much time they have to work in the gardens.
If you do a double family plot at tier 3 it’s 4 families and you can get massive farms
@@TacticatGaming Yeah then I suppose building a massive plot would be fine.
@@mctbaggins2084 I’m a bit ahead of where you see me here but I already have design plans for the next let’s play that are gonna be better
@@TacticatGaming ah yes I should have waitied to comment. I see you did do the looong garden plots.
Something else on the military side. Getting your Manor up early gives you 5 retinue. They are not counted in the working population and you can buy more for 50 silver each...silver that you tax from your village or by detroying bandit camps. Starting off by getting one house to make bows also works out good because they are not difficult to make. Just planks. But I might be saying this while you already know this. Either way..thanks for the videos.
Yep next let’s play I’ll be on harder difficulty so that will be critical
Would assigning oxen to the loggers help them drag in the timber?
Yes
Since you have crap farming fertility I'd suggest buy the raw materials, turn them into finished products (bread, malt, yarn etc...) Then sell the finished goods you don't need. Farm houses don't need tons of people except at harvest time to beat the rain and then grain to flour etc.. after the storage is depleted send back to other jobs. And, when you click on a field, it shows CURRENT yield if you harvest right then and there. If you wait, the yields increase :). basic economics, fished products more valuable than raw goods.
ie at approx 1:25:00 the crops getting damaged by rain, you have 4 families available, dump them into the farm and get the crops in THEN release them ... is how it happens IRL, stop everything not absolutely needed to get the crops in ..
Very interesting - that makes sense!
from what I am seeing and hearing veg. and orchards depend on the size of property but goats, chickens and artisans do not
That’s correct - that’s what I’ve been told by alpha testers
Seems cool, but seems more micro management?
It’s not that much
