    Here's my theory on the whole approval rating thing. The recent 30 days isn't actually the recent 30 days. It would be more accurate to say "this month". You see the buffs accumulate over the month, but then at the turn of the month the buffs are all removed. Unfortunately the new family calculation appears to happen after the buffs are removed, not before, and so the score falls below 50% and no family moves in.

    • @rauminen4167
      @rauminen4167 2 месяца назад +1

      Yep, current month. Yes the buffs/penalties are removed, but a few point of them gets moved to the "previous" section. Meaning you can accumulate both types(!) over time. Now when the bell rings, this previous section gets recalculated, and added to (substracted from) 50, the result is the basis for the new family calculation. So it only falls below 50 if you've been, on balance, a bad boy in the past months.

    Anyone else watching this and screaming “BUILD A MANOR HOUSE!!” ASAP or just me? LOL I mean it’s “Manor Lords” for crying out loud hahahahaha
    Those 5 professionally trained and equipped Retinue troops are key to this type of scenario IMO
    Also building your first five plots with additional family space may allow for more families in the beginning

    I think 2 ox in the start is very much needed, it takes so long to move logs around and you need to move at least 40 logs in the beggining

    Well yes, the "previous", say, homelessness is not happening right now, but the modifiers are most definitely affecting the current approval. It takes many months for people to forget.

    I'm at the part where you placed a mining pit where there isn't any iron... Can't wait to see the realization 😂
    Edit: ah. RIP Nusslohe. You have to put the mine ON the iron deposit, not near it.
    Building a manor would have at least created a retinue for defense.
    Also a family was left homeless after the level two burgages were demolished, approval could never have reached 50%.

    • @LeonineF
      @LeonineF 2 месяца назад +2

      Hey but you caught the homeless problem after a couple months in the second village!
      You could have made 76 spears with the iron on your territory, but only 38 swords. The trees for planks are not limited, though.

    Of course you can do something different. Like not building storages, industry and houses in the exact wrong order.
    - Granary so you don't lose 20 bread you start with. Kinda huge.
    - Storage so you don't lose the firewood and tools.
    - All gathering and industry so you have food (meat, bread), processed leather in storage and a church already built
    Then houses.

    Or, alternatively, you don't need a rich animals deposit if you realised that you do have a rich deposit of iron and you can sell it as-is, to upgrade all back gardens and buy weapons. You had a good 4000 coin in there before you need to worry about a deep mine. More if you process it once there are more families.

    I haven't fully caught up with the challenging attempts but would there not be value in making sure your first 5 lots(at least) are large enough not just for the backyard but for the add-on house? That way you could have ten families move in to the houses closest to your market. Also do the demands count per family or per lot because if it is per lot you then are halving your demand for the same number of families.

    ok starting with all those materials make it so much easier compared to winter with nothing... so i guess it is not the most challenging setting. Still nice

    You should have placed the manor and towers in a more defensive position

    3:47:44 you say “don’t worry about what it says in previous” but if you add all the positives and negatives you get -15 (both current and previous), and the baseline is 50. So your current approval is exactly the sum of the list, plus 50. Put another way, you seem to be wrong.

    • @DJ0045
      @DJ0045 2 месяца назад

      Again at 3:51:19, when you say “hey we’re up to 57”, if you add the column including previous to the 50 baseline, you get exactly 57.

    If your priority is people why are you intentionally fucking up your approval? You know this, you've seen in the previous run, but even before you already knew it. They'll need upgraded church, extra clothing item and a Tavern, which needs barley, a malthouse, and THEN level 2 house. Or trade the ale directly. Which again needs something to be exported. If you upgrade the houses wihtout ALL of these already done, you'll lose the ability to get new people.

  • @rat_god_stein
    @rat_god_stein 2 месяца назад

    It feels like theres a bug or something on the monthly. Your approval suddenly drops the second the church starts ringing the bell.

    • @rauminen4167
      @rauminen4167 2 месяца назад

      Only if you were a bad boy. At every bell, approval resets to 50, whatever bonus/penalty you have gets removed BUT a part of it gets added to the "previous" section. Then all the previous modifiers are added up, and added to (substracted from) the 50. The result is what you can see when the bell rings.

    Man, regarding Transport Fever 2, I love the game, but I can’t recommend it. It’s just so simplistic. In an effort to make the game more approachable they really dumbed it down way too much. It’s a beautiful, but completely superficial game.

  • @rauminen4167
    @rauminen4167 2 месяца назад +1

    So instead of just saying "it keeps fluctuating" why don't you look at the approval and figure out what it actually does? If you can figure out why an aluminium production line keeps stalling and what level belts you need, this should not be an issue.

  • @rauminen4167
    @rauminen4167 2 месяца назад +1

    Why are you upgrading houses AGAIN? You had to destroy the upgraded one literally an hour ago in the previous run. Did you forget? What the heck are you doing?
