Very informative bro! I have been working on my M41 and today is test day. Just got a bunch of upgrades from OSE. The boat now has a 3/16 shaft and strut a dual pickup rudder and cnc prop.

Thank you good sir! I have done a lot of testing the last days and there a lot of possibilities ......
And i am the only one on youtube that makes these videos so i have to figger everthing out for myself :P a bigger shaft and cnc prop will make it a bit slower i think.

Do you mess around with the stability control at all? My M41 is more stable with the control set at zero. When I increase the setting, the boat begins chine walking so bad it almost flips. Also, this was on calm water with no wind. You'd think it would be the other way around.

    • @HappyDude1

It needs to be zero yes 😀
If you are learning to drive it can help when its at 50

I had great fun too, But it was very expensive to fix their electronics that they broke with an update. And in 6 months, 3 batteries died. And their support is absolutely the worst

Hey happydude hope shes still running great. Just wanted to point out to you that
Lowering the strut brings the nose down resulting is more stability at the cost of drag (running wet)
Raising brings the nose high providing more speed at the cost of stability and cavitation. If interested click on my channel and see my m41 custom painted with a hard top

Balance the prop and sharpen and polish it with emery cloth and then it will be better with a prop balancer and u will get rid of your issues with the slowness of your metal prop

Keeping the batteries in the rear trays actually helps with the balance and CG. I use 5200 80 C discharge batteries , and the boat with prop "Neutral and the trim tabs, parallel to the run pads " . I've have experimented with props, and found the CNC 442 was a good match. An m445 gave me a few additional mph, at the cost of hotter electronics . So, realistically , it wasn't worth it. GPS, was was reading 45-48 MPH, depending on water conditions. THE setup was using the Castle stock motor, (1800KV), and the boat runs on a rail. I was was getting 44MPH on Saturday, upp against a 20 mph wind, and choppy water. THE boat stayed glued to the water.
