Cool video! Great trains! And, yes, I knew that Santa Fe used Dearborn Station, and not LaSalle Street, when it ran. I used to commute on the Rock Island suburban service out of LaSalle Street in the late 1960s and early1970s. The station still had vestiges of NYC service at that time, including signage. Well done, Peter!

Hi Peter, your layout is now my favorite and I want to do a compressed version of it, since I do not have the space you have. Basically, a 12 x 12 room. I have Harry H's small Lionel GCT base and the GCT itself to use in place of your union station. Do you have a track plan you can share? I saw your Oct 2027 CTT article, but that looks like a different layout or an older version of this one in the video. Thanks!

Amazing layout, beautiful cars and I like the Niagara for motive power, by the time the cars were painted in the darker grey, the 20th was being pulled by E7's, however in the event they weren't available I could well-imagine a Niagara doing the job. While I personally prefer Dreyfuss Hudson's as locomotives, in the context of this train the Niagara looks better next to the dark grey cars. The Hudson would look silly without the matching 1939 cars
