There’s a recent Kellyoke where she does an awesome descending melisma with several notes in it. It was in the Lost and Lookin’ Kellyoke. I’d definitely add it to the agility/runs section of the video, as well as some songs that were on her Thankful album such as The Trouble With Love is (she performed it in Vegas recently) that have a lot of runs showcasing her agility. Her Meaning of Life song also showcases her agility in spots. I agree with a lot of your assessment, but I disagree about her agility. She can absolutely do riffs and runs but doesn’t rely too heavily on them like a lot of singers do because that’s not the only tool in her toolbag. She is doing them a little bit more here and there right now though. Don’t mistake her not doing them a lot for her not being able to. 😊 (not saying that that’s exactly what you said but I’m just saying in general)

    3:14 I know it's a B5 but it almost sounds like a belted B4 here

3:12 isn’t this that one polyphonic note she did? I can’t tell what the other note is though

Yeah. It has lower frequencies making it sound like a B4 belt

Nice highlights. I feel like she has better strengths than some of these. Also, breath control is more than note sustenance. Great examples are high octave belting with tonality retention or flipping in and out of HV. Since more air passes, it takes way more energy. Due to the extra phonation from going in and out, it requires more coordination from different resonators. So Kelly doing things like this, especially in upper octaves is an exemplary display of breath control. Audibility while in piano to Forte and back is another example. That brings me to another one of her strengths which happens to be one of the GREATEST: dynamics. If you guys are going to do an analysis, this is one factor that should NEVER be ignored. Just for future reference.
    Good job though

For breath control, I’m keeping it simple, most of my videos are opinion based and I don’t like to use too complicated terms.
So breath control in the big picture of vocals, it’s about sustaining notes and keeping good quality to them.

@@doctorits that was a good one, but she did it a few times in the upper octave. That's a tougher execution

@@princexl2783 her cover of fighter and dont let go?

@doctorits no. So it's more like a yodel. She transitions in and out. She did it in 2 songs I believe. Blue and Hoe Blue are some of the times she's done this technique, but those are lower. She recently did one where she switches back and forth while belting. It's very yodel-like
