@@whatsjohnnywatching me too, it’s a far superior movie and much more original. I certainly am a Star Wars fan, but I have to be honest and I originally acknowledged Phantom Menace as the box office winner, but I had to cut it out for pacing.
Great List ! I’ve just found your channel this week and am really enjoying your reviews. You have a long list of videos , I’m wondering if you have one where you rank horror? I do like a good scare sometimes, not so much gore though. The VVITCH and Hereditary were really scary Imo 😱
Great list and some great movies. I've only seen Eyes Wide Shut once need to revisit. I didn't care for Election but reluctantly bought the Paramount Presents 4K. Collector problems. Really like Being John Malkovich. Probably buy that Criterion release sometime soon.
I'm glad that 99 has important meaning to you (and take it as read that i'm glad you survived the car wreck).I was 19 that year. My personal top 10 are: 10 King Cobra 9 Lake Placid 8 American Beauty 7 Turbulence 2: Fear Of Flying 6 10 Things I Hate About You 5 Retro Puppet Master 4 Silent Predators 3 The Mummy 2 Deep Blue Sea 1 American Pie
Sleepy Hollow would have made my top 20. Surprisingly i've not yet seen Fight Club, or The Matrix, but plan to at some point. Even though i am a Bond fan, especially of the 60s to 80s films, i'm not into Ausin Powers, i guess that's just down to my personal taste.
God, you were lucky then. A few months ago my girlfriends mo ther was the victim of a similar incident. Thankfully, she was only left shaken, but her car got wrecked from all 4 sides. Luckily the truck driver who crashed into her was over the limit, so the insurance company reluctantly agreed to side with her (you know they hate paying out).
@@jonbolton3376 that’s awesome that she survived it. Unfortunately, this accident was ruled as my fault, but it was because the cars in front of me couldn’t move because a lady was blocking the road at the end of her driveway and I couldn’t get out of the road at the top of a hill.
i rewatched Eyes Wide Shut pretty recently. I’d only seen it once before and like you didn’t care for it. But unlike you I still don’t care for it. Election is a great one. Spy Who Shagged Me is great, easily best of the series. Cool list. Can agree with a lot of it. Never really got into The Matrix. Don’t remember hearing about your car crash before. Glad ya made it out OK.
@@STEVEHEROLD yes, Eyes Wide Shut is going to polarizing and The Matrix isn’t going to appeal to film fans that aren’t into weird sci-fi, but I’m really weird. 🤣

@@ForbiddenFruit73 excellent! I liked The Mummy back in the day and I’m a huge KISS fan and I owned Detroit Rock City at one too on DVD. Go, American Beauty and Cruel Intentions are great too. I’ve actually never seen Holy Smoke. I believe I have seen Girl, Interrupted.

That Austin Powers slipcover is so beautiful! I love The Spy Who Shagged Me. ❤
@@alydematti excellent! I love that movie so much. Mini Me was a great addition.
Hard to argue with any of those, but Sleepy Hallow, Office Space, and The Matrix are really high for me!
@@WilkysMoviesandMusic yes, those are all amazing, Corey. Thanks for interacting.
Awesome rankings, Steve. The Matrix is STILL rewatchable and I find it to still be as entertaining as the first time I saw it in the theater.
@@whatsjohnnywatching absolutely! Thanks man. The Matrix changed everything for me, Johnny, and a lot of people and filmmakers in our age group.
@@excelsiormoviereviews As much as I love Star Wars, I was so happy when Matrix beat out Episode I for the visual effects Oscar
