Well, I've already made my cover version of this track about 2.5 years ago, but it was utter shit and I've been wanting to re-make ever since.
And now I finally did it. Yay.

Absolutely love those frigid and haunting undertones! IMO the A parts (0:47 ?) are the weakest being a bit generic and bland but when the source material is an anime one really can't do too much against that. Plus, when the weakest part is that good the entirety of the thing must be a treat, and this really is beautiful.
Gate of Steiner was used at the end of the first episode, you know.

I can confirm this. I recently started the VN, and although it took some getting used to the sub I'm enjoying it. I would die for some paid DLC for English dub on steam, but it is what it is.
I tell the same to anyone. I watched the anime first, loved it and thinks of it a masterpiece. Then i played the VN years later, and boy i'm glad i did. Never knew i would love the series more than i already did.
If you thought the anime was sad, the VN will wreck you more, it fleshed out the characters more and the anime also cut their alternate endings (which is understandable since the anime is following a linear story) but those "bad endings" of each character are all heartbreaking and worth experiencing to add more pain and realization that any other timeline has its own suffering, therefore giving more weight to Okabe's endless journey to seek out the perfect world or the Steins;Gate.

the 0 VN is at another level.. No doubt that the 0 anime was also one of my top anime, but the VN gives me completely different feeling, took it to another level although I already watched the anime first.
as a vn player before the anime i can confirm the vn messes up story a bit, if you remember Nae's revenge, that stuff ruined it fr. In the first place, Nae shouldn't even be that kinda character nor able to time travel since she doesn't have reading steiner. Also anime got the crazy animation and montages.
this is by far my favorite anime of all time... when i finished it, i had this... strange feeling of disbelief and felt like I had lost a very dear friend whom i have known forever... El. Psy. Kongroo.

This VN is so great, all the feelings it gives, all the scientific details there is, and all the endings are incredible. Clearly my favorite VN ever.
Wow, I am early. Good job on this! Steins Gate is arguably one of the best anime ever created and it's criminally underrated.

Ah, this series was incredible. I wish I had the chance to discover it again for the first time. Grinding for all the endings took time but it was really worth it!
