Takeda Takahashi (Japanese: 高橋武田) is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. A student of Shirai Ryu leader Hanzo Hasashi and Kenshi's son, he is both a member of the Shirai Ryu and Special Forces. He made his first appearance in the MKX comic series. Takeda, alongside Cassie Cage, Kung Jin and Jacqui Briggs are known collectively as the Kombat Kids.
Takeda made his playable debut in Mortal Kombat X, serving as one of the protagonists in the game's Story Mode alongside Cassie, Kung Jin and Jacqui.
A new version of Takeda returns in Mortal Kombat 1 as the final character available through DLC as part of the Kombat Pack.

Kinda surprise with their relationship change from father & son to cousins

By MK2 or 3, this Takeda will die, and Kenshi will find out that his wife is pregnant, so he will then name his newborn son after his now deceased cousin.

Takeda always felt like he could be much more than just the next generation
Much like Kenshi he just oozes badassery and feels like an instant icon
To be honest, it feels weird for me that Takeda calls Kenshi by his name. I know they're cousins now but it still feels a bit weird.

It''s obvious that Takeda remembers his father because he asks for his help in finding the Black Dragon clan and defeating the one responsible for the assassination of Takeda''s mother. In Mortal Kombat X. Kenshi promised Takeda that together as a team they would hunt down the culprits who assassinated Takeda''s mother.

@@user-vg8tz8xz1y it better then having him as a teen dad, also we can see his character into being kenshi rival while they fight on the same side their methods and ideology are different. Also takeda ending make it look like he a vigilante against yakuza. We can see him grow outside the kombat kids and being scorpion apprentice. It a new story telling. Also if we want the old takeda back we can get one almost like him from a different timeline, also he only been two MK games so far their more he can become then just being kenshi son.

Mortal Kombat had a lot of Interacial/Intercultural Characters
But these Characters have all been changed by Liu Kang
Takeda himself was a prime example of this having ancestors from more or less half the world
With Jaquie bringing in whatever was missing (except Native Americans but that could have been changed very easily)
Now Takeda is just Japanese

This version of Kenshi and Takeda reminds me of that Japanese man character from ghost of tsuhima, what was his name again?
I don't think there's any father/son bonding cause both of them said dad or son.

I like the new dynamic between them. Leaves room for Takeda to be on the same level as Kenshi as far as character development and not in his shadow like i felt like he was in X. Both highly badass characters in their own right, Kenshi more so imo. And who is Chioko😮?!
