- Having previous interest in the model I couldn't resist when one showed up locally for sale really reasonable. The original owner having arthritis in her shoulders couldn't stand to ride anymore and was giving it up. Upon riding it, it was stinging my hands and I couldn't live with it either. I contacted her and told her not to give up, that this one had the stiffest front end I'd ever ridden and it was stinging my hands. I bought the YSS front fork kit and it is absolutely necessary to drill the cartridge for them to work as I installed it without the first time as the instructions for US models don't mention it. As the internet community provided the Australia instructions of the YSS fork kit clearly says to drill the cartridge and provides the size 12mm if I remember correctly. The Australia instructions have been provided by our mates in PDF form available on the internet with a search. Used a hardwood garden tool handle to drive into the cartridge 12-point female socket to remove the cartridge. It is fine now and compression adjustable. I went by the factory recommendations of start settings and its perfect for riding hard, I'd soften it if I only commuted and cruised. Its set good for the wide range of riding I do with it as I took it to a sporty group ride.
