    Very informative and just a wonderful video for anyone looking to learn more about DAS. I will certainly recommend it to colleagues and customers. Thank you for this awesome content. I've been in the DAS industry for more than 20 years and you simplified this so anyone, even someone that has never heard of DAS, can learn. Thanks again. Keep up the awesome job.

    Please, in the future please do not refer to public safety tower sites as "cell sites". It may lead some folks to think that PS signals come from the same place as their cell signal comes from. Within the ERCES/ERRCS industry we're trying to unify the language used within the industry. The Complete ERCES Handbook is a big part of this effort. And, thanks for your efforts to educate.

      Oops. That won’t happen again. I hope, as industry, we settle on a standard acronym for Public Safety DAS - ERRCS vs ERCES can also cause confusion. I won’t even mention PSDAS. Oops…

      Agreed! When I got home to edit, I noticed the dry erase was really light. Going to use a darker marker next time- thanks for the feedback!

    Great, very informative, can the RFDAS also transmit video content i.e. Comcast, Hotwire etc for a hotel with 407 units? Or are they two independent systems, also the ERRCS network be included or is that separate as well. We are located in Miami and currently negotiating our renewal with our content provider and your video opened up Pandoras Box

      Hi Garrett, the RF DAS and systems like Comcast, Dish and other TV services are separate systems and have different system properties. Public Safety DAS, or ERRCS, can sometimes be joined into the same passive infrastructure, as long as they are all compatible with the appropriate band, but check with the AHJ first. Don’t design and build a system, that combines Cellular and ERRCS until you know that’s approved. The electronic gear will for certain, need to be separate.

    It is possible to run a fiber into the building before being distributed by the DAS?

    • @cellularwirelessunmasked3120
      @cellularwirelessunmasked3120  Год назад +1

      Bra, yes! In fact many buildings will ask for a DAS design prior to construction and run basic infrastructure like conduits, cable trays and designate space for the Head-End or Hub. Since most OEM’s use Fiber to connect DAS Remotes to the Head-End on the larger systems, fiber can be pre-run to each building or floor. Any pre-work that can be done during construction will save money and lead to a cleaner, more efficient system.
