Can I do the same thing but with an android tablet that has a standard USB port as well as an OTG mini USB port (Pipo S2)? Ideally, I don't want to have to install printer drivers on the Android tablet (only on the client PC), as it may be difficult to find Android drivers for the Konica Minolta BizHub 364.
hello, May s.o help me out. I have the 4 computers in the company. Two pc connect the LAN with the same network. The other two is standalone without connect to anything even wifi. Now i want to hook up the 4 pcs using a hub/switch to access the printer to print document. Is it gonna be work.
could you tell me a way i could use wol (wake on lan (Magic Packet)) with this video to make it so when i send somthing to print it will wake up the server and then print. After that the server will then turn back off
Cool if u would make a video on how to create a home server to connect various devices and share info! Maybe it's the same process but would be cool anyways! thanks! :)
So granted, I'm doing this now on Windows 10, but for whatever reason all the Windows client machines are connecting and saying "no drivers found." Any reason this might happen?
I bought a print server where if computer A is printing and computer B send a request to print at the same time...computer B can't connect to the printer server until computer A is done and the user of computer A has to disconnect to let computer B to connect to the printer server. I don't like this at all. Could your printer server method have computer A printer and if computer B request to print at the same time the printer server will hold all data from computer B until computer A is done. Once computer A is done than the printer server will print computer B data automatically?
@swedishgodkiller iv tried that before and yes it did work but the printer couldn't cope with 8 people sending at one time and it jammed if you use a computer it can split them up u could get like a £200 printer which would be fine i suppose
Technically correct, but a bit click baity... Because than you can just use your main PC as a print server, and let it running. I think a microcontroller-based on would be much better, maybe with an arduino. Because even the slowest netbooks use a LOT more power than that
@Tinak00777 google it. Eg. How to setup cod4 server. If this is to complicated already i don't think you should be setting up a server, if you won't be able to secure it and maintain it.
@Tinak00777 not that hard. depending on what server it will be css, l4d, tf2, cod4.. ect you can download the server files online, configure them and portforward your server so others can connect to it. The amount of people able to connect to it simultaneously will depend on your "UPLOAD" speed and the game. For example a 0.5Mbit upload speed can host about 8 connects with no problem
What's the benefit of this? When you print something, you still have to go get the paper that came out of it. That wouldn't be possible if you're somewhere at the other side of the world.... xD
I don't want to be rude but Windows or Mac, seriously? Linux needs a lot less resources + it is intended for such things + because of Google patches for Android which is on Linux it consumes A Lot Less power than Windows and Mac... Linux is perfect for servers and u show how to setup that on Windows or Mac?
fantastic, just what i needed, easy to follow thanks!
i am big fan .... like all the tutorials .. Thank you for taking time and sharing the knowledge ....
once again, brilliant!
I love this guy!

how to find out the address for mac? I'm using windows 10 computer as my print server and trying to connect with my mac.
Does the server needs to be connected with LAN?
can i still do this is the "print sever is connected via Ethernet"?
DUDE AWESOME
this vid is good for office printers !!!
Cool if u would make a video on how to create a home server to connect various devices and share info! Maybe it's the same process but would be cool anyways! thanks! :)
can i ask you how do you set up a wireless internet connection?
@TheNameIsBradley dude that's for what this tutorial si about, the printer connects by ethernet cable to the pc on the server
So granted, I'm doing this now on Windows 10, but for whatever reason all the Windows client machines are connecting and saying "no drivers found." Any reason this might happen?
can i also scan and save the file directly to a different computer
You can also use Google Cloud Print
If you have HomeGroups set up all you will have to do is set your homegroup settings to share the printer
I have a USB Laser Printer and a Parallel Port Print Server. How can I connect a USB Pinter and Parallel Port Print Server. ??
You should do a print server tutorial with dd-wrt.
@rahmanroni then you would have to use a typewriter robot!
great for a small business

My Windows 7 system can't see the printer that is connected to my father's Mac. How can I see it in Windows 7??
im in texas and printer is in L.A...
I GOT MY COPY NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GO TO L.A TO PICK IT UP!
@Tyman2006
hahah 242 thumps up, good job! :D

Please make tutorial for Ubuntu and Linux Mint using the LAMP stack please????? x3
@yomama111336 true... but this one is a little old
How do u do it on linux??? :O
cool, ill use my commodore 64 as the server
tinkernut rocks!
You could just plug the printer into your wireless router if you have one.
@Tinak00777 google it. Eg. How to setup cod4 server. If this is to complicated already i don't think you should be setting up a server, if you won't be able to secure it and maintain it.
@Tinak00777 google :). You might have to own the game too, to be able to gain access to server files
Windows Vista/7 on a old computer!?
I'd just use Teamviewer, connect to my pc, transfer the file over and print it.
I have the down printer in 0:25
I'm clicking on the video but its only pausing it
Both computers are window 7
Bought a H61 board, i3 2100, Corsair CX 430 W and used a old case. 26 watts of power :) 350 dollars
An actual USB print server device would be $50 or less.
hmm... what about linux ?
dell insoiron 530
just use a NAS
i tried this once... it didn't work. then i thought 'why the hell should i print something from across the world if i can't get it right away?'
Why no tutorial for Ubuntu Linux users or Linux in general?? I grew up with the thought that Linux is the Leader with Servers and always will be
yeah! he's right on this one. not even on a BSD-based OS like freeNAS. pls make linux tutorial for print server!
Awesome... But u need a new intro
Thumbs up if you think 0 dislike is awesome!

@mactop90 You uninstall ubuntu, install windows, the start from step 1.
Why not just set up the printer with its own ip, much easier and thn u only need to leave the printer on
7th! This only has 45 views :P
now nearly 100k
i bet it takes you forever to edit your videos!
@Tupidude9500 no way! he tried making a new intro and it was horrible compared to this
you sounded sad in this video
@TheSkulltear Well this one is pretty easy but boring...
I just use Google Cloud print, much easier.
What's the benefit of this? When you print something, you still have to go get the paper that came out of it. That wouldn't be possible if you're somewhere at the other side of the world.... xD
If your friend's printer has paper and yours didn't, then print at his printer and pay him a visit. You are already going to see him anyway , right?
gigafide videos are getting complicateeed.............and useless
