Everyone says that in the first movie they were very cold to each other and I suspect that was because they caught feelings for each other during filming (not saying they had an affair, they just had crushes on each other) and since he was married, they obviously couldn't show anything they felt so to make sure no one was suspicious, they were sort of awkward/cold to each other.
