All previously public-owned services should be regulated to the point they hand the company back to public ownership.
Labour must ensure the Tories cannot return and reprivatise.

I hadn't heard about Streeting's move on puberty blockers. What a shitty, pointless, vindictive thing to do. A lot of my trans friends and relatives were very reluctant to vote Labour, notwithstanding my arguments about tactical voting, because they saw a vote for Labour as a vote for the Leopards Eating Faces party as far as the trans community is concerned.
I owe them an apology now.

Wes Streeting is the reason I voted Lib Dem. I cannot support Labour on their trans stance.
Also, I do not love the rhetoric about school standards...

It's not always the parents fault when their child commits a crime. Parents should not feel that it's their fault if their child commits a crime like murder. The teenager that committed the crime is 100℅ to blame, not the parents.

Phil: I've said this previously. The TOC, you're referring to, is South Eastern; which has been in the hands of the DfT owned Operator of Last Resort (OLR) since 2021. Thusly, any legisation won't affect them, as they're already in state hands.

Graham's comment about Police dealing with MH is incorrect. MH takes priority even when an offence is committed. There are also units/officers teamed up with MH nurses who will also assist and engage. Funding and resources do need improving though.

Labour: We need to address your lack of investment into infrastructure and profiteering
Water Co: We need more money from the public to pay for infrastructure so that we can still keep on profiteering
Labour: OK put the bills up but be nice this time

All this talk of violence against women and girls, but where is the talk of violence against men and boys? It may happen less, but how much less? How many men aren't bothering to report it because of societal pressures and/or lack of avenues to get help? Graham, this isn't something that should just be swept aside with a quick reminder that it happens less

@creeperboom8635 Clearly, it should not be 'swept under the carpet', however, if resources are scarce how about we support the MOST vulnerable members of our society? Those who have been targeted for god knows how mant centuries just because they are women

@@creeperboom8635 Years ago i had a girlfriend who could be very aggressive, never hit her back (i just don't hit woman, have seen my mother beaten up as a kid), but after the second time she became so aggressive it was the end of the relation (lasted around a year). And it's not only physical abuse, also mental abuse.
Abuse is abuse, doesn't matter who the victim is.

Just fyi domestic violence is a gender nuetral offence. Fully ⅓ of the admissions to hospital are males assaulted by females. Hospitals do not record these statistics because there is no category for male domestic violence victim. The statistics are recorded independently. Further the safest relationshop for females is a heterosexual relationship. The most dangerous ombination for females is a same sex relationship. Conversely the safest relationship for males is a same sex relationship. On top of this most domestic violence incidents in a hetero relationship involve both couples hitting but only one (the male) is charged...and a male looking for refuge in Australia. Good luck. There is only one in the whole country and children cannot be taken there...and this situation is greatly excarcerbated by goof baals talking about domestic violence as if it is a female victim male perpetrator situation. Shame on you
