Diamond Crab King should have gotten an honorable mention. Although it doesn't have any removal abilities or whatever, it's the best Beatstick Rank 4 with effectively 3k attack and defense. The important thing about a toolbox is to have a varried one. There are indeed some monsters that can't be destroyed or targeted by card effects. plus. It ironically fits into my favorite deck, Gem Knights, on account of it being a Rock type (fusion material after you use it's effect twice) and having the name Diamond in it lmao

I think 2 other good defensive cards include evilswarm nightmare (although I assume you didn't class it as generic because it needs darks, otherwise I guess we would have seen hope woven too) and steelswarm roach, but I guess roach is very format/matchup dependant.

I love to combine diamond dire wolf with No. 64 ronin racoon sandywhatever. Seeing as it turns dire wolf's effect into kill off one of your opponents cards, and none of yours. haha
I think i would have honorably mentioned utopia(outside of the actual ranking), since utopia + utopia the lightning dont't really fit in a rank 4 and rank 5 toplist. (go in the rank 5 because you summon the rank 4 first which is only good because of the rank 5)

Exciton Knight isn't as broken as people claim it is. Does it enable unnecessary comebacks? Yes, but so do you cards like Honest and somehow that card is at 2. Excition Knight punishes over extension and should have never been banned
Not necessarily, that would imply that all decks are created equally and that just isn't the case. Outplayed would imply that you've just been getting wrecked the entire game. A good player knows that just because they have plays available to make doesn't mean they should play out their resources all at once and Exciton Knight punishes players who don't understand that and make unneeded pushes. Also, another point for my case is the fact that the OCG still has Exciton Knight legal and at 3, I believe

I was thinking Raidraptor Force Strix, but then again it is only for useful for Dark Winged Beast decks, cause it helps you search (Yes it does have the Dragon Master Knight effect only for winged beasts and making it reach 2100 atk and 4000def is interesting ) them like Blackwings and of course, obviously Raidraptors duh! I do like the card, it is one of my favourites not the best, but I like it.
Actually I like to modify my Reasons for Raidraptor Force Strix on being a good rank 4 xyz, cause now he works with True Draco Zoodiacs with the whole Zephyros Dragonic Diagram Combo, that's pretty awesome to see that card have more plays in different decks including Raidraptors
no crazy box. yes castel might be able to bounce something back, but crazy box has the most attack. And thats all that matters, even better it can half your life points. what could go wrong.
Umm why is the sky musketer 1 I think raidraptor rise falcon is better than that thing because as soon as you use one of the musketer's effect you can't use the other without some overlay giver card and from my counting their is only 2 overlay givers so thus musketer is practicly farter for stuff like raidraptors as for rise falcon it gains bonus power per special summoned monster and it even shuts stuff like utopia out of business with it's other effect of when it attacks a special summoned monster of which it can swing at all special summoned monsters of which stops utopia and other on oponite turn effects
Requiem just gives Rebellion a function....similar to what Lightning did for Utopia. Doesn't make Rebellion any better as a card. Don't get me wrong, Rebellion is good.....just not top 10 good.

Basically you just need 2 of the same level monsters on the field for most of them. Then those monsters become "material" used to activate the XYZ monsters effects. All the cards state what the summoning requirements are right on them.
