Hudson's site project workers install TerraClad glass panels facade on top of the high rise tower.
The Hudson's site redevelopment project by Bedrock Detroit is one of the most significant and ambitious urban redevelopment projects in Detroit's recent history. The former Hudson's department store, which closed in 1983, left behind a prominent vacant space in the heart of downtown Detroit. Over the years, there were various proposals and ideas for redevelopment, but Bedrock Detroit's plans gained traction and have moved forward.
The redevelopment project aims to transform the Hudson's site into a vibrant mixed-use development that includes residential apartments, office space, retail shops, public spaces, and a hotel. The centerpiece of the project is a proposed skyscraper that would be one of the tallest buildings in Detroit.
General Motors is relocating its global headquarters from the Renaissance Center on Detroit’s waterfront to billionaire Dan Gilbert’s new Hudson’s Detroit building on Woodward Avenue.

So there weren’t any videos of the glass panel facade being installed so I made one. The plagiarist will give this video thumbs down but then go copy my video compositions. Awful people. It’s sad that they can’t come up with their own ideas. They have to wait to watch my videos and copy my video compositions.
Please give the video a thumbs up and let’s beat those plagiarist.

Looks great!!! Thanks for your dedication to detroit videos. Do you know if the windows will have automatic washers or if they will be cleaned in the traditional way? Thanks Michael

Thank you for watching the videos! I’m not sure if it’s gonna have the automatic washers and I didn’t even know that existed. It would be some cool technology if it does include that.

Well, I’m not saying that I’m the best at all, but there’s a few plagiarist that copy all of my video compositions. And then when I change them up, they go on plagiarize the new video compositions. There are some other very good videos out there though. The bridge not America channel has some good videos too!

I hope they reconsider adding an observation deck on one of the upper floors. Its got some amazing views and being the second tallest building in the city its central location offers some almost unmatched views. I would pay to go to the top and have an experience similar to the Willis or Hancock towers in Chicago with a small history lesson of the site and drinks available at the top with professional photographers to take photos of you and your family.

      That would be cool!

Good point. However, the top of the Marriott at RenCen offers the same views, and it rotates I believe.

@@skywalker7230 the only issue with the restaurant at the top of the rencen is that its no as easily accessible as a Skydeck would be since you can only go to the top of the building with a dinner reservation made well in advance. I think the Rencen would get more visitors to the top if it was just a place to take in the views and grab some drinks if you want. People are all about aesthetics with social media being popular and having an area where people can take their selfies with Detroit in the background. This would help continue Detroit's image shift to outsiders who might see cool pics on social media of the city's downtown and decide they want to come here and experience it firsthand.

@@skywalker7230 The floor used to rotate but they took that out unfortunately.

@@andrewmagee6556 There was another floor above the restaurant where you could walk around the perimeter and sit in large round booths. There was also a bar above that floor.

Mmmm. Cladding a perfectly good concrete wall. Would have been an awesome place for a huge programable LED “Detroit” sign. Nice flying as usual. 👍👍
