I actually think the most irritating nerf was making her knife alt fire super random, it’s basically unusable
tru it makes it a slightly higher skill required to use it
its not super random, its fairly consistent at short range. I think the nerf is fair cos it encourages ppl to use the left click more, the right click shld only be treated as a last resort, not the main feature of the ult.

You mean aim? Jett knives are 100% accurate no matter how you're moving. It's one of the stronger ultimates in the game.

@@DragunSlayzzeadass. been recently playing jett and while I get alot of entry frags and a 72% headshot accuracy on the sheriff (idk if that’s relevant but i do have fairly decent aim, normally securing 2-3 kills per interaction) I sell my team when it comes to my ult usage

@@exiledkenkaneki701 Then what is wrong with her that makes her weaker then other characters (I suppose you mean this with over nerfed because if you use that you mean she is bearded so much that there is no much reason to play her), her passive is good, his dash are alright, she doesn't need a dash that could be used instantly like to but could be used even for pushing site (this was too good, like chamber old to, even though it was stronger all 2 of them could use it for defending and attacking first with some safety), her smoke are enough for half Spyke defuse, she is an attacker not a smoker, their usage is only for short cover, her jump is the same and the ult is fine, her old ult was too broken, you could just spam right click, now you need to aim more for your daggers to hit and it shouldn't be something that you mindlessly push and still win.
If you think that this is an over nerf then it's clear that you love playing op characters, winning, and still think that you just better then others

She is a duelist which are supposed to play aggressive. Her power is that she is highly mobile.
Limiting her mobility to a time period takes away the whole purpose and becomes an obstacle to her full potential

True, Chamber needed a nerf, not a burial. We needed a break from chamber thats a undisputed fact, but now his kit is ass, only abilities worth considering are the OP and the TP. Since the trademark is goofy and headhunter painful to invest.
Astra and Jett when nerfed was still playable and are picked in pro scene. With Astra just not played comparatively, similarly to harbor which theres only one explaination, who the fuck plays controllers?
Jeff and chamber both need a burial, get out of free cards allow players with no movement to take get out of jail free ego peeks and makes low sens gameplay impossible. Ruins the dynamic of a lot of playstyles. This run and gun nerf feels great this patch, its the first time i can say with confidence that run and gun is dead. Honestly this patch plus jett and chamber get out of jail free card removal would make this game much more friendly for most playstyles.
@@dzaesonp8599they barely touched the trademark and headhunter though, what killed him was the TP nerfs, but the TP was the thing that needed nerfed. The trademark nerds needed to happen because he was too similar to cypher. Having 2 trips with no range limit while also having a jett like escape ability was meaning that there was literally no reason to pick cypher. Sure you could’ve tried buffing cypher but the issue was that fundamentally, having an escape ability is more valuable than a camera and short smokes. So I’m not in favour of bringing back a trip/buffing the trip to not have a range limitation because that could hurt one of the agents who is already not very strong. I think his headhunter is in a fine spot, it’s worth it to buy on eco rounds because you get to keep it if you don’t use all the bullets, which will end up saving you money for your next eco round. It’s impact depends on how good you are and how many eco rounds you have. Chamber will unfortunately just be an agent who isn’t picked a lot in the midranks because people can’t use the headhunter to beat a vandal/phantom as consistently, and that’s fine. His TP is the only thing they should consider changing from this point imo. And it should only be very small adjustments. I actually don’t think they gutted him completely, he just had one absolutely broken ability which they toned down. He was also mostly toned down for the high ranks, and he is still picked sometimes in the high ranks
@@DomzyDX While I agree run and gun has no place in the game, these free "get out of jail" cards make the game much more dynamic. Part of the fun of Valorant is the chaos and ridiculous gun fights. Removing characters that specialize in those areas would really hurt the image of the game.
After all, taking these ridiculous off-angles for gun fights is a big and fun part of Valorant imo.
Only noobs cry about chamber because he was still used in 2 maps, an agent that’s overwhelmingly powerful on every single map shouldn’t be a thing, his kit is very strong just not as a solo carry anymore

Now when you activate your dash and get two kills you can double dash even if you didn't use your dash yet as long as you activated it
While technically that is true, when you choose to start her dash is more of decision now than before. Before you could mindlessly just peek an angle and dash instantly. Now you have to make a decision on when to pop dash as you could waste it and get no value.

@@soham4741 Definitely a nerf, that's very situational. Because of the change you have less options, like say you're defending and peek main with dash, well if they're not there you just wasted it. Or if you get caught by surprise you can't just instantly dash out, and are vulnerable for a good second or two
@@snowpools8498 It was a necessary nerf. It encourages jett players to read the game more and time their dashes. If they're not where you were holding, then that's just unlucky or you need to read the game more. And that second argument is the main reason she got this nerf in the first place. Jett mains were abusing the fact that it was basically a get out of jail free card and were not getting punished for misplays like not being wary of lurkers.

@toxicjuwifangirl Jett is tied with KJ and Skye as the most picked agent professional valorant. Jett is the 1# most common pick rate by far in from plat 2 to Immortal 3.
She is the best Duelist and arguably the best character in the entire game. Only Raze really compares as a Duelist.
@@Tofuey That's only because she was one of the first deulists & was overpowered for so long that so many players learnt to play her. Also She is the only deulist whose kit is intuitive & doesn't harm their team. Pheonix has a simpler kit but you can team flash or damage them too thats why jett is most picked she is straight forward.

Pro play is a different game, and I would make the same argument there too jett was overpowered for a long time & unlike chamber she wasn't nerfed to the ground so her picke rate hasn't suffered that much
I think if played correctly Yoru is the best duelist in ranked & in pro play every duelist except neon & reyna are viable

It was a deserved nerf imo. The dash was too spammable before the change and I’m glad they’re at least trying to make SOME duelists have to use their brain and game sense instead of mindlessly walking into the enemies and expecting to win.
Don’t even try and argue with me on this one, there should be more duelist changes that require them to actually use their brains like other types of agents do.

@@Chmmr Reyna, Neon, Raze, and to an extent even Jett. All Reyna needs to do is kill one person to snowball and heal herself more than even Sage could- and MUCH faster, too-, every single Neon in existence just runs forward because that’s mostly all they can do without their shock charges, Raze’s satchels might take a bit of skill to properly move and do crazy stuff but you can’t tell me with a straight face that any other part of her kit takes any brain power, and Jett’s movement allows for creativity that nobody ever uses until they have their ult ready. At least Phoenix’s own abilities have multiple uses in both damaging enemies and healing himself, and Yoru’s entire kit basically relies on you needing to use your brain.

If you think just throwing the grenade whenever is gonna do you any favors because it's free let me tell you, I see so many people wasting it all the time in stupid plays. Hell, even the satchels have more uses than plain movemen and the whole double-sarchel cancel into ult requires quite the server time. Raze is literally the duelist with the highest skill ceiling rn.

I don’t think I need to state how being able to kill people around corners because you threw a bomb or shot a rocket is stupid as hell, and the only good thing I can say is thank GOD we aren’t dealing with the Beta version of Raze.

But let's be honest, raze's showstopper is probs the most unreliable ult on the whole game, to the point that it really is best used as a chaos space taking ability making people run for their lives, kinda like a Sova or Phoenix's. If you get killed by a "random raze ult" is you who doesn't have the game sense to understand that the player took good odds against you in the first place. And about the "killing people around corners" don't agents with mollies do exactly the same thing? In fact, it's even worse. The only reason people don't have complicated line-ups for raze is because her grenade explodes too fast. Ih her grenade exploded only after first contact no matter the distance (like yoru's flash or Kay'os molly for example) it would be fucking broken. Boombot is nerfed, and again you need either lineups, or experience with the agent to throw good ones.

Nerfing characters 2/47 isn't the answer there is this crazy thing called a rework where you make negative and positive changes to balance a character such as say decreased speed for faster activation I know this isn't the case for jett since the time was already instant but they could have made it go a bit further to compensate the longer time to use

@@sprayandmiss making negative and positive changes isn't reworking, that's just nerfing and compensating by buffing others things. Rework need to change how the ability works. A rework can also be a buff or a nerf as well. In jett case, it's a rework AND a nerf since it changes how you use your ability and make the ability worse in some aspects.
@longboye9935 assuming you are talking about my example it would not be a rework it would be a even trade it since it would make jetts game play able to be more creative and would help get into different off angles that might have cost an updraft aswell
The smoke nerd Was nothing but a buff to the Ultra aggressive playstyle. Smoking off something to cross but then immediately being able to hold the Angle you just crosses without smoke is so insane

Jett was just really overtuned originally and Riot gradually balanced her unlike chamber who was really overpowered originally and then got his entire kit nerfed into oblivion in one patch.
and then all the jett mains became chamber mains so Riot decided to Nerf him too

The jett dash change made her better IMO. It took more skill to play her and rewarded you for that skill, also the duration’s like… 10 seconds, that’s pretty solid and easy to time for an entry fragger who’s supposed to chose her fights
As a Jett main, the most annoying nerf was definitely the one to her knives alternative fire. The dash nerf was definitely needed and it forces you to think more, but making the knives random basically makes them unusable if you alternate fire

The Jett change was kindof a buff. You get more dashes. And kills you get before dashing count towards another dash as long as the ability is popped.

The last one is actually good, its different but its good because you need to 2 kills to gain the dash back but while the dash is equiped, you those 2 kills count towards a dash. Therefore you could kill two ppl with dash equip then dash and dash again
You only have 12 seconds time to get 2 kills if you wanna dash twice

yeah it makes more sense. You peek, kill and then dash. leaving you at 1 kill for the next one. But before you would be 2 kills because you dashed after getting the frag

Opinion, valorant should remove character lock in and instead implement a ready up system. In this system players choose a character and ready up but does not lock it in. If two players choose the same one, one of the players at random gets her while the other player is given another character. This will force players to communicate or have to allow fate choose their character. This system also allows players to change characters even if they already ready up as long as all players didn't ready up already.
You can already do this by clicking on the character but not locking in, if multiple people are hovering over the same character one gets it & the rest get randoms. I don’t think making it mandatory is a good idea because it can force players into characters they don’t know how to use & seems like it’d make the game worse overall
Jet isn't really broken. It's the community behind her doing their best with the kit. This happens in so many games.

shes not broken anymore, shes still arguably one of the best characters in the game but now its because she has an extremely versatile kit and all her abilities are useful, while before the nerf she was good because her dash would either guarantee her winning an interaction or surviving an interaction that she should’ve died for
i think the state she is in now is pretty healthy for the game, very strong but only in the right hands and she doesn’t outright negate any other agents from existing

I remember back in beta when she wasn’t that great. I usually mained her just because I figured that if I got good with Jett in her low points then I would only improve if she got buffed. Now I’m in a better place where I rarely play valorant.

in the beginning the death sounds are in wrong queue, the 2nd kill makes first kill sound, 3rd makes 2nd, and forth makes 3rd. just a little thing I noticed
She was buffed at first for her smokes to go from 4 seconds to 7 seconds but they performed too well as almost real smokes and some comps wouldn't need a controller so Riot nerfed her smokes to 4.5 seconds.

Played Jett twice before the nerf, I was always a sentinel main. Once was during a comp, I had a fucky internet moment and we don't talk about that. The second time was my best Jett clip ever; my friend was coaching me on Bind, and he had me updraft and dash into hookah with either my ult or a shotgun (I'm assuming a shotgun, but my memory is too bad to recall properly). Got a 4k and another teammate caught the last guy rotating, it was such a good moment.
Still mad at the dash, cuz I somehow STILL think I can just press it anytime and die way too often that way 😂
le now : jett have just 1 updraft and 3 sec duration of smokes and costs 8 orbs for ultimate

Only thing that irks me is that the spread for the rightclick is horrendous now, on the off chance i need it i only hit them for 50 like 5m away

ive played jett in top ranks, it took a little getting used to, was weird at first, but i dont actually mind the dash change, i often get 2 kills after priming and then have another dash at the ready again, instead of having to wait for 2 more kills after i used it...
The dash nerf can be good in one particular situation if you preactivate your dash get a pick dash away and get another pick you have a new dash

It really isn’t that big of a nerf. Sure you can’t instantly use it, but that won’t hinder an experienced player much. Honestly, as simple as her kit is, she still needs an nerf if they want to reduce her pick rate. At least that was the reasoning on why they nerfed chamber so hard
