Hi there! I just ordered some vintage brown register tape & I think it will be perfect for this! I'm so excited now! Today I'm cross stitching Christmas to make either postcards or cards. Actually, cross stitching is what got me started on the all encompassing journal making. Thanks for the inspiration! 😊💙
Hi there, I really love your snippet strips. 🥰You were so very lucky to have found out about all those treasures you bought at that home. You have the best kindest, relaxed voice ever. So perfect for Ephemera, because all of us as the viewers, understand and see everything much better. 😁

I actually loved seeing how you organize your bits and labels... I have tons of those tiny baskets and, for some reason, never thought to use them for that! Tfs! So sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad 3 years ago and not a day goes by I don't miss him! Praying it gets easier! I'm a nurse as well! But gotta huge creative side as well❤❤❤ much love from SC, USA!

Oh and I find Distress Oxide is my fave and go to . The mists and sprays are fun as well, but I use Oxides ALL the time. Gathered twigs I use most , because I like vintage , Vintage Photo I use heaps in the distress inks. Victorian Velvet is a lovely colour , a lovely vintage pink colour. Hickory smoke, Speckled egg are nice colours as well.
Thank you so much for your feedback! So I see oxides can be in a stamp pad form and in sprays! Which do you prefer? I LOVE my oxide pads and will always always keep those around. I did order some oxide and mica sprays to check them out! Have you used those?
Hello. I am sorry for your loss. I understand needing time. I really enjoyed this video. I am working on ephemera as well. Yes, I have made snippet rolls and snippet ephemera. I enjoy working with fabric a lot. Tim Holtz is fantastic. I use many distress inks and oxides. The ones I use the most are Vintage Photo and Spun Sugar. If you are into purple and shade thereof...Wilted Violet is such a pretty color. Thank you for sharing! I hope you are having a lovely evening. Take good care. 🌽Corn
Hi back again, it is so funny, but as you are chatting and I am listening, thought to myself if you have a caring but strong heart to work at Hospice you could become a mortician. And just then you mentioned it yourself. 😂. You are one very strong person, that will go very far. Go where your heart points you, but do remember you must still show us your amazing craft ideas. 🤭🤗
@@sandyvanderlinde237 Lol thank you! Ya, I would LOVE to be a mortician. I’m just not sure I’m up for more schooling at this point. We will see! I’ll always show my craft ideas. I like watching the process here. Yours turn out really pretty. I make these snippet rolls a lot when my mojo is blank. Lately that is the case. So I now have tons of them. 😅
Hi. New subbie. So not sure what's going on with YT but it has been recommending some awesome creators like you. Love your video and process. I never work in themes but I'm starting to get on board. I am definitely inspired to make snippets with your twist. I use all THs products. Love them all. Best thing I learnt is to just jump in and play and experiment like a kid. I too love true crime. Ever since I was a kid. My brother was a homicide investigator and I would sneak to listen what he and my mom would discuss on his cases. Still fascinated how people's brains work. I love that you are a hospice nurse. I do not have that compassion gene. I am more of a suck it up and stop whining gal. Sad, I know. Please never lose that God given gift. I admire compassion. Sorry about your pops. Nothing fills the gap of a parent. Already like your style and as one viewer commented, your soothing voice. Bit of a chatty but I had a lot to say. TFS and inspiring ❤❤Nebraska
@@denisegardner2373 Hi there! Lots to respond to! I watched some YT video that talked about how YT is now pushing out new creator’s content. If they’re smart, they will. Right? If they don’t from a financial aspect, then YT loses out on MANY potential creators that could make them big bucks. So, from a financial perspective it makes total sense. I’m just happy that I fell into that category lol. Not everyone needs to be the same or empathetic. I wax and wane. I’m very empathetic to the old and the dying. It’s just my natural calling. On other topics, I’m not that way: BUT I’m just so in tune with people in general that sometimes it can be a very heavy burden to carry. If that makes sense. I take it all in! I LOVE TH stuff too! Can’t imagine not lol. I am in the midst of waiting on a verdict for a national case and that has consumed me too! 😄 Interesting about your brother! I’m glad you’re here! Hellooooo Nebraska! Okay to be chatty! Never apologize for who you are! ❤️
I make backgrounds using a Gelli plate and add them to 12x12 scrapbook paper and various items to make master boards. You can then cut them up into tags, atc's, journal cards etc
I only use distress oxides. I have all the colors, except 8 of them. I also have the matching reinkers. Each distress oxide has its own dauber. I attached velcro to the bottom of the distress oxides. That way I don't have to worry about having to use the same 1 over and over again. That's what works for me. 😊
@@shabbyrosecreationsbykem I just switch the dauber pad out for each color BUT I intend to Velcro them to the bottoms lol. Just haven’t gotten to it yet! I have no idea how close I am to having all the colors as I don’t have a master list 🤣
