Surrey has a lot of great unknown restaurants but My Shanti is expensive and cannot compare to so many cheaper, family run Indian restaurants. Even with Chef Vij at the helm. Maharaja catering on 128th for example. Others to try: pho 777 in white rock. Or Afghan Chopan or any of the many Japanese restaurants like Hanaya or Sapporo.

This interview did not meet my expectations. It would be beneficial to explore different regions of our country to gain a broader perspective and depth of the interview.

Surrey has some great Indian Food Restaurants, as well as the speckling of Chinese, but you will need to dodge bullets to get to them. I like how Vij talks up his own restaurant and himself so much, not. This was a poorly done journalistic piece on the food scene in Surrey. Vancouver still owns as does Vancouver Island

It really interesting that this reporter did not do her job properly, Try some Chinese restaurants in Surrey the food is so bad it’s unbelievable! The taste and presentation! Also some Indian restaurants the quality is not great! Surrey will only be the best sharpen the quality of food is the best!

I am from India and I don’t agree with this at all. One this is a half-hearted show which won’t please even the Surrey fans. For me Surrey is not diverse enough to be considered as a candidate. And unhealthy, greasy, unhygienic food where you can’t see the kitchen is not my idea of good food. I want better, contemporary, more west-coast, and in general more evolved food scene. Surrey stands nowhere. 👎🏽
there is place 90 and scott rd and beside them is Afghan restaurant the whole neighborhood is spiced right up and can just get big samosa and chutney to go bring that home
