Thank you for being so positive about her nails! I also have shorter nails. The comments that I have received from some nail techs made me very self conscious about my hands and have actually driven me to start doing my own manicures at home because of how embarrassed I get at the salon.
They just don’t understand, I bite my nails and I’ve always been insecure about it, you aren’t alone and don’t listen to them.
What products do you use? I have the same problem as you.
Same here, I don't do my nails in salons at all because of this. I learned to do it all by myself and I prefer this way, my nails are getting longer but they're still short lmaoo also, if you want longer nails/has problems with biting them: use a base for nails that is just bitter as hell, either after you do your manicure or without any decorations on your nails at all, it works really well!
@@battlesister1559 Now see I wish I could do that, but I really don’t care how gross it is I just do it anyway 😭 I stopped biting my nails at one point (life got crazy and I fell back into it unfortunately) and the only way I could stop myself is by painting my nails all the time.
@@annagooding9770 same here, I am always painting my nails and applying the bitter cursed nail polisher every two days or everyday if I feel like I am getting back to my old habits

I just discovered this video. I'm so happy to see that you can do something that beautiful with short nails. I'll keep that in mind when I'll go to the salon and I hope the nail artist can do something that beautiful with my short nails.
I used to bite my nails. I stopped about a year ago but my nails are not strong enough so I keep them short. I also wear lenses and I do a lot of crochet so it would be too difficult to have longer nails.
What you did in this video is sooo beautiful. Congratulations !! And thank you to show us what can be done with short nails.
I have short short nails like this too (my nail bed itself is short, so my nails look stubby no matter how long I grow them), and this gives me hope! I wish more videos could be made addressing this type of nail! I can see now how pushing the cuticle all the way down makes the nail bed look longer, and also bringing the corners of the white smile line down farther onto the nail bed (a longer curve in the smile shape, rather than a shallow curve) makes the tip look a bit longer than it is. So helpful!

Absolutely gorgeous manicure!!!! Tatyana is a true artist. I have been a lifelong nail biter and my nails are short and wide. I've been embarassed by the comments of manicurists in the past so stopped going to have my nails done in an attempt to grow them out. I wish Tatyana was near me.

My nails are even smaller. Child like nails, and recently I went to one nail tech who is one of the best in town. She was obviously frustrated with my nails, hurt my cuticles on almost every finger and made some comments how they are troubled to work with. My nails are really soft and cannot grow long because they always break, so I wanted to get gel to grow out my natural nails on their own, and the gel is already slightly lifting and I am really sad because everywhere I go they cannot handle my nails. I wish you were closer to where I live :(

I use polygel on my own nails, and I do 5 or 6 of my friend's nails with polygel too. Whenever I do my friend, it takes me anywhere from 3 to 4 hours from start to finish. Prep, cleanup, application, design... Am I taking too long or is that an average time for gel nails?
I'm not a professional YET. I'm going to school in Fall 2021.
I'd say you are doing great! It usually takes me anywhere from 2-2.5 hours for everything (when I'm not filming) Keep up the good work 😊💕

Tip don’t seesaw when you file go side center side why? Because it can cause the nails to split and become weak great job tho
