Owning a house means so much to us, sometimes this financial burden is a kind of blissful trouble, especially when many people can't even afford a down payment. Of course, as I mentioned, this perspective is gradually changing.
Not owning a house is kicking a can down the road, at least if you take the plunge to own a house, there will be a day it becomes fully paid, if you rent a home, you have to pay for the rent till you die, and what if you are unable to work and cannot pay the rent? You will be homeless
My impression is that China's government and central bank were more concerned about the appearance of "hyper" macroeconomic growth compared to the West rather than true organic macroeconomic growth. There was overinvestment in areas like real estate that were not sustsinable, which caused weakness in the banking and financial system. Lots of monetary stimulus only masked the issue and allowed the problem to grow even larger.
There's no way around it, it's different from the West. You have the stock market, which is the anchor of your family's wealth. Here, it's all about houses. Most of a family's wealth is tied up in their home. Plus, the real estate industry drives the development of related industries. We're rolling out policies now to stimulate the real estate sector. Otherwise, if houses don't sell, the impact would be too significant.
Yes. O. K. But how about your Grandparents and your parents ? How is their pension or and rent ? How about their medical care ? Are they obliged to Pay for every “move” ? How is dental treatment in your country ? How many older people 75+ are in your country under pension/rent ?
From your question, it seems that you may have many misunderstandings about China. Actually, no one here is worried about food and housing, not lacking housing and retirement benefits. However, there is a significant wealth gap, with some having high retirement benefits and others having well located houses. That's about it.
@@belomolnar2128 I know the answer you want to hear from me. But like I said, they also know what content you want to see, and they will specifically shoot what content you want to see. What should I say, what you see is not true and comprehensive enough.
Not getting married is the key. I bought a house and almost finished paying it off. Then the ex decides she wants a divorce. I end up having to give the house to her, and i am left with basically nothing (worth it now). So you are doing fine as long as you do not get married. House or not.
I am sith Chinese youth in shedding materialistic lifestyle. Due to society & peer pressure we take loan to buy things which we don't need or can't afford. Then work next 20 years as slaves to pay the loan.
In future, don't blame your parents and your government for not owning a house. Buying a house is a form of saving for the future. Buy a house which is affordable and within your current means.
In fact, we used to buy houses for investment purposes, hoping that they would appreciate in value. We rarely consider its residential properties. We incurred too much debt in order to buy a large house, which seems incorrect now.
Nowadays young people pampered by their parents, they left them houses , money and assets once they gone , so new generation no need to work waiting till parents gone they will become millionaire
That’s why they have this term 啃老族 - living off the old which is their parents. Interesting to see this reversal of values now from older days of filial piety where it’s the adult kids giving allowance and money to aged parents.
Home ownership can be very stressful financially... no parent or society should force someone to own a house.

Yes, so retired seniors must have their own house, otherwise using their pension to pay rent would be a disaster.@@stephenang499

In China, even if you don't get married, you still need to prepare a house for your retirement.
